Pay $60/month and only get these shitty speeds

>pay $60/month and only get these shitty speeds
>1tb datacap i can max out in 17 hours
Why is America so shitty even though we invented the internet?

Free markets
No one is forcing you to go online :DDD

>Faster than 86% of US
Please fuck off with your bait

>max out
So you're saying internet isn't unlimited in mureeka? What the fuck

>datacap

What do you use the internet for? I can't even cross 100gb in a month.

the bullshit is that i can only use my full internet for 17 hours a month, or 2.4% of the time

>tfw 700m from the NBN node.

>full internet
what are you downloading that's 1TB in a month?
(I get 2TB a month btw)

I paid 47 $ for this speed

Torrents, Game downloads or updates.

...

Hory Sheet Do all american ISPs have a datacap?

I pay $145 a month for gigabit internet but only get 80 megabits on wifi

Very jelly. Also nice trips.

...

Never really got the point of downloading the uncompressed, 50gb versions t.bh.

ngl i won't argue with anyone about US internet. Ours is literally third world tier. Fucking Kenyans probably have better internet than us

looks better on a big screen (like a tv)

on a monitor you probably wont notice if you even get a 720p

audio also tends to be a lot better

I pay $10 a month and get 10mb and no cap. It's supposedly a slow speed but it's fine for me for downloading shit and gaming so meh

True, but a movie is a 'one and done' thing. Seems like a waste of time and bandwidth to download 50 gigs for something you'll watch once.

Maybe they own a 2160p tv/projector to watch their movies.

My eyesight is fucked and I can't tell difference from 720p to a 2160p

People who like to store stuff in 4k are fucked because they'll need way more space than me, think about having a hdd of movies when you could have in 460-720 rip (700mb-2gb) to a 1080 - 2160 rip (4gb-50gb)

usually you get a limit. something that you will never reach and if you do they throttle your speeds

storage is so cheap nowadays

>spending all this money for muh 500 drives
Christ you may as well just buy the movies at that point.

Thats exactly what its like here but most ISP's offer unlimited plans for slightly more.

My plan is currently 900Gb a month, but because my garbage speeds, I'll never get close to capping it even if I downloaded 24/7 for the whole month.

Yeah. When we have unlimited plans too. But it's unlimited* and that asterisk is usually the high limit. Usually most people don't worry about it I think. But our internet is dogshit and I don't know everything

11 8tb drives in RAID 5 = 80TB
that's 1,600 50GB movies

they were on sale for $129 each, so $1,419 total
at $20 each, that's only 71 movies

I need to switch plan but i'm too lazy.

I pay 50$ for 66/5 but I don't know about the limit

this is the fastest I had in 3 years. nowadays it's around 3 Mbits down and 0.20 Mbits up.

feels bad man...

but I pay around 30€ a month

>Americans complaining about their cheap, fast Internet
Fuck off and die.

>Ours is literally third world tier.
Kill yourself mate.

>all
In usa they have free capitalism market. Meaning that it is easier to kill competition than offering better product. So in almost all states they (lobbies) passed laws which practically banned any competition at ISP. Basically 80% of usa population can choose between 1 provider or no internet access.

It is price of freedom.

help

100/10 mb for 10 bucks per month, comfy.

6,5$ per month

>be american
>invent internet
>datacap
wtf
