The great debate

the great debate

Casino was more fun

No debate. Casino sucks by comparison.

I used to like Casino more, now I don't understand how I ever could have held that opinion
Sharon Stone kills the movie

There is no debate;GoodFellas is the better film.

I'm the opposite now. I used to think Goodfellas was possibly his greatest, and I still love the movie, but if I were to rank them now I'd put Casino ahead of Goodfellas.

It might just be my love / nostalgia of Vegas, idk.

De Niro is a better Lead and Liotta
Pesci is better in Casino
Better soundtrack

Casino wins

I'll give you DeNiro being a better lead
Liotta's narration in Goodfellas is pretty awful

Goodfellas is a better film, Casino is a better crime drama.

was pesci a manlet?

The real question is
The King of Comedy or Taxi Driver

Being a kid means liking Goodfellas.

Growing up, means Casino has more realistic and adult subject matter.

...

Casino obviously
Pesci is better in it, De Niro is better in it, theres no Ray Liotta. Only negative is the annoying mobster trophy wife story which is more or less stolen from The Godfather II.

Goodfellas is probably on my top list of overrated movies. Not saying its bad, just far from as great as the general opinion. It completely falls apart when Pesci and De Niro starts killing everyone, and De Niros acting overall is lackluster - you never get the feeling that hes nervously deteriorating, if it wasnt for the fact that the audience is told through the narration. Narration can be ok, but when its used to tell the audience what we should be shown through acting, its awful.

his whole thing is being the badass manlet who uses his craziness to beat up everybody.

he's always been a manlet

get in here lads we scorkino nao

Taxi Driver is Scorsese's best
Taxi Driver > Raging Bull > Goodfellas > King Of Comedy > Casino > The Departed > The Wolf Of Wall Street > After Hours > Mean Streets > Gangs Of New York

>replacing a character with a dummy for an explosion
>mistake

by this shit logic, every movie that uses practical effects or CGI is riddled with "mistakes"

>mistake

So they forgot to blow up a real person?

Oops..

Both are equally as good, but Casino's a bit too long for a casual watching.

it's a mistake because it's very obvious it's a dummy in the film and scorsese would have fared much better using a different shot to make it less obvious.

>gangs of New York below the departed

kys departed is the biggest meme I have ever seen in my life

>muh jack Nicholson and leo

The whole movie is just The characters saying "fuck yaself" and beating on each other

you must be one of those health freaks. go fuck yaself

>Thinks Gangs of New York is a good movie.
There's nothing to salvage in that piece of junk except Day-Lewis character.

They're both great, but Goodfellas is clearly superior. I do love Casino all the same though, fantastic movie.

was it kino?

>which is more or less stolen from The Godfather II.

Isn't Casino based on a true story?

how's ya motha?

>DeNiro > Liotta as a lead
>Nicky Santoro > Tommy DeVito
>Frankie Marino > Billy Batts
>better soundtrack
>bigger story

I really like Paul Sorvino's Paulie Cicero. Rewatched Goodfellas recently and it was apparent that there was a lot of inspiration drawn from the role by James Gandolfini for Tony Soprano

Casino wins for me because the plot gets more detail and the soundtrack is good. Casino isn't as mob focused as Goodfellas since Deniro is supposed to be legitimate all the mob stuff centers around Pesci. Goodfellas, the MC is actually a mob soldier, and all the conflicts in the movie come from his mafia ties.

This isn't even debatable and you should kill yourself for making this thread.

Goodfellas

shes on her way oot
