I don't believe most of the funds went into his own pocket as a scam.
But as a person who is suppose to be a democratic socialist for the people, essentially at a communist level. He probably did more to directly bankrupt his own supporters over any other candidate in the party election which he didn't even win the nomination. And possibly over any other candidate in american history. The people that donated to him were also mostly middle class and below, the people that need their money the most.
I would like to see him push the advantage but I don't think he will. I still believe in his character, but he's shown himself to be too weak to spearhead a revolution of any kind.
