defending is for faggots

Idk about soccshit but in NFL it's Lawrence Taylor
Aren't Canadians the same thing as Americans except they're mutts mixed with Indians and Arabs instead of Spics?
you posted him
also, Baresi
Leaf btfo
Nesta and John Terry
>There will never be another Maldini
Don't ever put those 2 in the same sentence
Zanetti
Pepe
Ramos
Pique
Puyol
Terry
Ferdinand
Skrtel
Plenty more but those guys aren't too 20 no doubt about it.
Underrated CB
this has to be bait
>pepe
>Skrtel
makes me wanna kill myself as an amerifat
我的天... 食人魔
This guy.
t. deluded São Paulino
>le 56%
>marked Cruyff out of 90% of the 1974 WC final
Based Berti.
All that diving around meant he was out of position
Beckenbauer
Moore
Gentile
Baresi
Maldini
Cafu
Stam
Thuram
Cole
Ramos
>>use "MOOSE" sexually
Nothing wrong with that, the supreme court said so
>>call divegrass "football"
Whoa man, that chink/spic/poo in loo doesn't represent me
bad cover version of pic related
>Leave defending to me
Paraguay had an elite defense in the 90s
regular tier defense, backed up by the best gk in the decade
The only decent one out of those is Ferdinand
The rest are trash
>Puts in Cole, Ramos, Stam
>No Nesta
>No Costacurta
Fuck off
Danny Fucking Agger
Don't forget the holding midfielders.
Is he the second-best Mexican player ever behind Sanchez? I think he's better than memecharito.
For me Cuauhtémoc Blanco was the most talented mexican player ever. Hugo Sanchez was great as a club player but didn't do much as on the NT. Rafa was amazing as a club player and as a a NT player, although he usually chocked on the hardest moments on the latter.
>For me Cuauhtémoc Blanco was the most talented mexican player ever
KEK
>leddit spacing
memes don't create themselves, wang
Also Chicharito's goals on NT were mostly on irrelevant friendies organized to drain chicano dollars
You wish you had a player with his guts, unlike your pechofrio squad.
Zabaleta d e s u
>no Carlos Alberto
nilton santos also
Imagine being this much of a fanboy
>all these anons rating ramos
this sexy boy
unironically
He got heritage!
Cruyff was God and Vogts his Nietzsche
He was really talented, like a Mexican Riquelme
And lot of argies consider Riquelme to be the second best Argentine player after Maradona, or third after Messi
Nesta and Paletta.
He is still playing in Brazil btw
>Skrtel
>no one's even mentioned cafu yet despite him winning 2 World Cups and being the most capped Brazilian of all time
Embarrassed for yous desu.
>Brazilian defenders
KEK
is roberto carlos Goat to then?
Yes actually.
who would you choose Dani alves or R carlos?
They were GOAT as offensive full backs, this thread is a bout the defensive aspects
I'm rather sure Nesta was a better defender than Cafu
Sergio Ramos
#RESPECT
Well ones a LB and ones a RB
I'd go for R Carlos, simply because it's harder to find good LBs over RBs
the only true GOAT
Harry Maguire
These guys were top defenders too
David O'Leary
Paul McGrath
Martin Keown
Tony Adams
Alan Hansen
Kolo Toure
> After playing Italy in 1990, the Italian players lauded McGrath as one of the best defenders in the world and asked why he doesn't play in Italy.
My list
Nesta
Maldini
Cannavaro
Puyol
Baresi
Rui Jorge
Stam
Hyypia
Chiellini
Ramos
Lucio
I meant Jorge Costa instead of Rui lol
I forgot Mark Lawrenson
See I literally could have made a case for every Milan defender from 1980-2014, calm down.
>use "MOOSE" sexually
this made me laugh
based
Noureddine Naybet
Only guys I've seen:
Paolo Maldini
Fabio Cannavaro
Alessandro Nesta
Carles Puyol
Vincent Kompany
Laurent Blanc
Roberto Ayala
Ivan Helguera
Cesar Azpilicueta
Andrea Barzagli
Philipp Lahm
shit manager
>that flag
>this topic
kek
true, he wasted a good generation of players. still enough to beat england at their own home though
Sadly he didn't have a relevant European career but dude was very talented (not world class) and he also had nerves of steel and loved to carry the team on his hunched back.
If all these retards are rating ramos then surely godin deserves a mention
>le gets frustrated and gets a red card man
>goat
Franz Beckenbauer
Paolo Maldini
Franco Baresi
Bobby Moore
Nílton Santos
Giacinto Facchetti
Gaetano Scirea
Djalma Santos
Daniel Passarella
Ruud Krol
Elías Figueroa
Paul Breitner
Alessandro Nesta
Karl-Heinz Schnellinger
Lilian Thuram
Berti Vogts

>Ferdinand
andre ooijer
winston bogarde
glenn loovens
andrea paligni
danny shittu
jos hooiveld
john curtis
Move aside, three time champions league winner coming through!
Him and Juan was an extremely underrated defensive duo.
Le "shoot hard and hope for the best" man
Well most of the elite defenders are in the prem,
Walker, Valencia, Young, Bailly, Otamendi, Stones, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Mustafi, Alsonso, Mendy, Christensen, Van Dijk, etc...
Pretty good tbqh, I would probs add a couple old school defenders, such as Baresi
If you're the only one mentioning a name and he's from your country, he's probably not as good as you think he is.
Zanetti
Walter Samuel
Ibarra
Schiavi
Christian Burgess, Matt Clarke, Jack Whatmough
>Skrtel
*pulls your shirt*
*scores an own goal*
*backs off and lets you shoot*
heh nothing personal kid
Was expecting much more Cannavaro in here, although you can't go wrong with Maldini. On another note, if you put all players from all eras together, does Italy have the best defensive line ever? Baresi, Maldini, Nesta, Chiellini, Cannavaro, axe murderer Materazzi?
>people writing/saying the first name of a football player to sound like they know what they are talking about
is there anything worse?
Surprised he's only got one mention considering how good he was, it's a shame united released him the way they did.
