Well, reading is pretty easy for both side. But listening take some effort. Spanish speakers in Latin America speak really fast. In the first 2 hours you barely understand what they are saying, but after that, you can understand without problems, some words are complete different but you end up figuring out what this supposed to means based in the context.
Like this, however it is more beautiful in real life.
