Apparently it was spillover from a protest at a city council meeting. The problem is that the arena is like 2 blocks from city hall.
Oliver Turner
hot new meme fresh off the presses from reddit boys
It's actually quite brilliant, they chose NBA games on purpose, and chose Kings games, at this specific time when Black Panther is doing well.
>block Kings games >get access to owner, get him to acknowledge you >block Kings game again >say NBA doesn't support black people >cite we wuz kangs, ride black panther pop culture movement >NBA has to respond and look like bad guys no matter what >black NBA fans begin protesting because muh identity
Ryder Green
What a fucking alpha.

Honestly it's a Sacramento thing. Cause, first, everywhere that you would go to hold a protest in Sacramento is within a couple blocks of the arena. There's just not that many other places that you would go to do this. And second, the Kings are probably the biggest civil institution in the city anyway.
Like, what are the other options? Shutting down a AAA baseball game? Shutting down Chando's Tacos? Shutting down the mall? Actually shutting down the mall would probably be a pretty effective protest but still, I stand by my point.

What you're saying is We wuz Kangz and shit.

At the end of the day, as progressive as the NBA is, it's a business and blocking access to games is not good for business.
I think the NBA just needs to be proactive and this case, and as ironic as it seems, start hiring police patrols for a few weeks until the season ends. It's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
Christopher Nelson
SPURS HEAD COACH GREGG POPOVICH
On tonight's game:
"I thought tonight was a great example of a team. The Wizards, who wanted to prove something, wanted to come out and play hard, play together, be disciplined at both ends of the court and play the game the right way so I thought they did a great job. As far as we're concerned, I thought it was a really poor example of mental toughness in the sense of no real discipline and no real effort. There are one or two guys here and there that gave effort but last time I heard it was a team sport. The lack of mental discipline and mental toughness tonight was very disappointing. The excuses and lack of communication and it starts with transition D. If you can't run back in transition D, then you know, something wrong with that picture. I thought the Wizards did a good job of taking advantage of it and they played a good game. I think our guys should be embarrassed."
On the Wizards having a lot of balance in points tonight:
"I'd say that means they did a good job. That's what that means."
On winning out to finish the season with 50 wins:
"What does it mean to me? It doesn't mean crap. None of that stuff matters. It's kind of cool. We did that for a long time. Other than that I don't know..."
Aaron Wilson

They need to leave the sport alone. You want to protest? There are plenty of public places where you can do it.
David Williams
where is kelly oubre jr my nigga

Westbrook just won an MVP. That's an instant superstar dude.
Robert Myers
I'm tired of shit like Grandpa Popovich talking politics and then I have to see it in an article on NBA.com. Like, I don't fucking care what a sport coach thinks about the state of the presidency. Shut up and dribble.
Thomas Walker
>Hearing Kiki VanDeWeghe will be making a statement very soon, the Kings have projected losses of just over 1 million dollars in the past few days due to protests at #Golden1Center
Westbrook is a superstar Anthony Davis is not a superstar Draymond is a star Lou Williams, Jrue, Steven Adams, Otto Porter, Wiggins, Tatum, Randle, Lavine, Rubio, Dragic, Myles Turner, Morris twins, Saric, and Middelton are not borderline stars. In fact, just call them good starters.
Levi Lewis
...which is detrimental to the NBA and basketball players... WHO ARE MOSTLY BLACK
>Heat won by 19 >WITHOUT Hassan If Hassan played tonight, the Heat would’ve won by 25
Adam Taylor
The Cavs are a lottery team. Nothing special.
Dominic Gray
Wiggins, LaVine, Turner, and Saric are definitely potential stars. Are they as close as guys like Oladipo or Mitchell right now? No, but at least one of them is gonna break out soon.
Brandon Ross
WHAT HAVE I BECOME
But seriously, I'd be pissed off if some morons decided to protest their shit in front of the arena.
Hudson Stewart
Anthony Davis is a superstar
can't abide this level of idiocy

What's the capacity of Golden1 Center? I wonder how many people are here
>Cavs play on a back 2 back >Against the Hornets Kemba gonna drop 35, and Howard will get 25 rebounds >Sixers play the Knicks Fultz will get a solid 14 points and the W

for me it's Kendrick Lamar's Damn.
Nathaniel Hughes
Saric is a borderline star. He's putting up great numbers and no one is paying any attention to him.
Jonathan Jenkins
Sacramento police should blast water cannons at protestors is that arena private property? if so get the fuck out
Camden Hernandez
can't be more than 3 thousand, it holds nearly 18 thousand
Jordan Gray
Wiggins will never realize his potential. He just doesn't care enough.
Ayden Cox
Yes, I'm certain the multi-billion association will be missing out on the comparative pennies lost by one of the league's worst teams.
Ethan Barnes
First of all, individual NBA players aren't really significantly financially affected by something like this. They still get paid their salaries. And, I mean, yeah, sure, they lose something like 500k-1million in BRI but that's really not a lot of money once you amortize it over the whole league.
And, on the other hand, if it costs black NBA players some amount of money, the benefits of a successful protest would be felt by a much, much larger number of people. Because the reality is that the vast majority of African-American don't actually play in the NBA.
Andrew Howard
do niggers even live in Sacramento? Talk about a shitty venue to """protest""" whatever their issue-of-the-day is
people like Popobitch and (((Silver))) need to get their heads out of their ass, shut up, and play/run the game. There's a reason the NBA is seen as a corrupt/boring/fixed/drama compared to other major league sports
Camden Russell
It's not about the magnitude of the effect. It's the fact that is exactly what is happening.
Nothing will change the fact that James Naismith was a proud Canadian man who invented basketball.
Mason Parker
that's not how it works Kings sold their patch for 5 million a year they lost over 1 million in less than 5 days because of these protests
thats a fucking ton of money not even taking into account loss food sales, merch sales, etc
Camden Clark
What are the results of a successful protest? Making the injustices aware to white people? I can assure you, white people are already aware. We just don't care.
Lincoln Diaz
Superstars have an undeniable NBA brand which is why I moved him down He's a superstar on skills alone but I took the business aspect into account
Most casuals don't know who Anthony Davis is believe it or not
Aaron Ward
I really don't see why people consider Westbrook as a superstar but not Kyrie desu. That's why I like to rank them at the same tier
Jordan Diaz
Look at the game, it looks like the end of a blowout even after all the fans moved down. There's 10-15 seats empty per row. All of those seats, they have to fucking refund.
Eli Hernandez
Casuals also don't know who Kawhi Leonard is.

You're right about that I should've moved him down desu He succeeded at a young age before he was the de-facto alpha dog. >wins a championship inbetween LeBron Heat and the current 3peat >his playing style is very fundamental and not necessarily explosive on a consistent basis >small market team >injuries and recent team playoff choking
Jack Gonzalez
usually protests are for the redress of grievances. presumably, in this case, that would involve some kind of reform of Sac PD
