Is taxation theft? Give me some pros and cons of this stance.

no, calling taxes theft is a buzzword.

No. You pay for government to build infrastructure, maintain it, protect law and order in society.

Though given a decade of EU history I'd say it's close to theft with politicians flat out handing over cash to niggers and kebabs

Is paying rent theft?

201x is the decade when words lost all meaning.
Taxation is theft.
Being wrong is lying.
Campaigning is rigging.
Angry speeches are fascism.

It is an anarchocapitalistic term. Anyway, governement doesn't use our money appropriately. I deem less taxes is better for economy. Socialism always impacts misery and messes private initiatives

Like Lithuania said ITT: taxation has turned into theft. European governments are doing the exact opposite of enforcing law and order and they are using tax money for stuff that the general populace disagrees with (like importing the third world)

Not an argument.

Yes, taxation is theft.

The only real con is that there would be some initial confusion of how the new system would work.

It is an unreasonable extreme that would mean the military would have to make a profit, turning us into a world poli... On wait. Never mind.

Taxation is theft because it is not voluntary.

If you don't pay taxes, armed men come to your door to take you away.

The level of taxation in the U.S. that is redistributed to the poor through welfare is absolutely theft, the number is around 700 billion dollars just thrown away that could otherwise have been invested intelligently instead of blown retardedly by the poor

Same here in Belgium.
But at least Americans get a decent military, police force and justice department in return for their taxes. Our government is spending so much money on welfare and social programs that there is no money left for security issues. Results: cities filled with jihadists and a terror attack

Yes, yurop is a socialist, multicultural shithole, tell me something I don't know, waffle man

Collecting revenue from your wages is the government telling you they can spend your money better than you can. If government was an efficient machine I'd be ok with this but it's not. The government is as inefficient as possible.

It's extortion, but a necessity, without it everyone would have to build their own roads/enforce laws/ etc etc
Its when the government decides "fuck you we're gonna do everything short of regulating how you can wipe your arse" and pay for all with taxes and then give half of it to the most useless of society (welfare state) that it becomes theft. 6% of South Africans account for 99% of income taxes, absolute theft by the majority on the minority.

No, it's just what the country charges to be there and take advantage of its facilities.

Don't like it? move to another country.

>at least Americans get a decent military

Lost both Iraq and Afghanistan.

>, police force

Who freaks out over an autistic man with a toy truck?
American police are incompetent.

> and justice department

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, now I realize you were just trolling, good one.

I was making the comparison with our institutions. Our military doesn't even have tanks, they lack weapons and ammo and they need to borrow kevlar vests from the US military. Prison sentences below 3 years aren't carried out because of overpopulation and politicians aren't bothered by a man who empties his AK-47 on the cops. That same man only got 4 years and he later blew up the airport

No one unironically likes it. This system has no legitimacy. Elections don't change a thing and taxes ALWAYS go up. We will soon be at a tax rate of 60%

I honestly don't mind, and I pay shitloads of taxes.

I could easily move to Belgium and pay far less tax.
But I prefer the Netherlands becasue our roads are made from quality tarmac instead of shitty concrete slabs.

I don't wanna pay for Jose and Tyrone's welfare, but I do wanna pay for better plumbing and shit like that

>Calling something what it is, is a buzzword
