loved it as a kid, was probably one of my favorite vhs' growing up.

>Was it offensive?
No, is this the only way to get people talk about something?

Anyway yes, it's good. Haven't you watched it?

>Was it offensive?
No. They were literally told by the government to make it in order to keep peace with South America during WWII. The entire movie is about how awesome South America is.

It's the most underrated Disney movie ever made in my opinion. Go watch it right the fuck now if you haven't seen it before. It may be slow during the first 20 or minutes when Donald is watching his home movies but once Jose shows up, the movie really gets rolling.

It was a fun Donald Duck romp through Mexican culture. Some folk stories are told and a penguin sets out for warmer land.

so... how was it even supposed to work between a human and a cartoon?

She is literally gonna fuck dat duck. For once a duck will git raped instead of doing the raping.

Have you ever been to Bahia?

I'm not sure I'd classify it as a "Mexican cartoon" - it'd be more accurate to call it a cartoon about Mexico and Brazil.

As to whether it's offensive... not really. Sure, José and Panchito are drawn in fairly broad strokes, but if they qualify as stereotypes then they're definitely positive stereotypes. Besides, the representative from the USA is a white angry asshole who spends a lot of time in the movie literally chasing girls at the beach, so it's all good.

I just wish I'd known I had to watch Saludos Amigos first - in The Three Caballeros, José is just introduced as this guy that Donald already knows, and I had no idea why.

>offensive

Instantly made me think of how they took away Speedy Gonzales for being "offensive to Mexicans" when Mexicans were the ones that loved him the most.

Can't say about Mexicans, but here is Brazil we love Zé Carioca (or, as you gringos call him, José Carioca). He even has his own comic book and it's still being released.

I wonder why he isn't the Olympics' mascot.

I'm in love with that fucking bird.

Was this really necessary? You could have at least posted the version that edited out the dick.

On the subject of the caballeros themselves I've always really appreciated them as characters and definitely as the better trio with Donald.

Mickey Donald and Goofy never sat as well with me because it always seemed more like Mickey and Goofy were friends and then Donald was that one guy that didn't want to be there.

The three caballeros on the other hand are bros through and through and they all very visibly like each other. It's also rare to see Donald as chill as he is with them and actually enjoying himself.

I really hope they pop up in the new ducktales cartoon as recurring characters because the poster already promises Donald suffering.

>You will never live close to a Disney Amusement Park and be able to collect close to all the 3 Caballeros memorabilia.

Yeah, even in Kingdom hearts he was seen as a shitty healer. He fits in best with his bird bros.

woops forgot pic

Mexibro here, never have I heard of anyone being offended about Panchito.

Is there a reason why the fanbase for these birds is like it is?

>You could have at least posted the version that edited out the dick.
After several years, this is the first time I saw the dick. French kissing is just sexier than a plain dick.

>Is there a reason why the fanbase for these birds is like it is?

Meaning...

No!

>Error: You cannot delete a post this old.
I'm going to be banned, I guess.

Blame chaico and her delicious gijinkas.
I'm really bias, but I think she's the best Disney gijinka artist.

Mexicans love Speedy, they should love this (Plus Brazilians love Jose)

Has any user read Jose Carioca's comics?

Agreed. Even though it was marketing towards different audience, it wasn't outright racial.

>There will never be a Made for TV movie about them saving a small Mexican town from Buzzard banditos

Let's ask Snoopy's cousin

Anybody got the comics?
There was a storytime a few months back about Donald Jose and Panchito going in the woods to find treasure or some shit but the thread died in the middle of the comic

What?

>People think Panchito is a stereotype and offensive
He's literally the best part of the movie. Also he's supposed to be a cowboy so I don't know how people wanted him characterized

The Rosa ones?

Why does everything have to be offensive. Seriously, no one cares about SJWshit outside of SJW's. No one bitches and whines about representation or appropriation, hell even Tumblr itself is caring less and less about their garbage rambling.

If Tumblr is starting to stop caring, Sup Forums should definitely stop caring.

Anyway, Three Caballeros is one of the funnest movies ever and I absolutely adore Panchito's entry.

I don't like Panchito getting left out this makes 5 year old me sad why can't they have a threesome.

Poor Panchito.

They said they were "three gay caballeros" in the song.

Literally nobody said Panchito was offensive other than OP trying to bait for replies.

Panchito is love, Panchito is life.

im mexican and i used to watch it all the time when i was a kid

youtube.com/watch?v=dbCh3qTFZK8

Yeah we loved the fucker the part the federals can't catch him i was laughing my ass off. why are americans such a winny fucks those days everything is offensive learn to laugh

oh yeah also you have to remember the year when this movie was created

panchito wasn't racist at all at the time, well i don't consider it racist now and im mexican

Every other latin american i know love the shit out this, why everybody find everything offensive these days. Jose was a brazilian ladies man and Panchito was a jolly good friend what was offensive about them

Do people really call this movie racist? I don't even see how you could get that.

Is it that Jose and Panchito are dicks to Donald? Because everyone is a dick to Donald and Donald is a dick to everyone. Also they're young guy friends having a party jerking each other around is what happens (no pun intended you fucking fujoshit perverts).

I believe so.

Shit was so cash, and then OP was kill and I was left with a nostalgia shaped hole in my heart

As long as I've been coming to Sup Forums there was always an attraction to this bird

whew. I thought I was the only one.
There's just something charismatic about him...

Does Sup Forums remember all those Three Caballeros threads years back?

I storytimed them a few months ago and I'm absolutely certain I finished them, so it must've been someone else.

I can probably do it tomorrow if the thread's still up.

I wish I was on Sup Forums for longer.

2009 was the year of the Caballeros. It was great.

You are a god among men, user

Sounds like fun user!
Looking forward to being in the future ducktales threads with you.

And now burgerclaps want to build a wall. Back stabbing assholes.

Have you been to Baia, Sup Forums?

>Disney hasn't made a tongue and cheek animation of Panchito ruining all of Donald Duck's attempts to build a wall between their houses
God damnit

Mexico love the fuck out of los Tres Caballeros. The mascot/logo for the only armed forces Mexico sent to WW2 was Panchito.

why

It didnt offend me, but some parts felt scary to me

...

It is funny how he is more an anti-hero in Brazilian comics as he is portrayed as the Rio de Janeiro stereotype.

>I really hope they pop up in the new ducktales cartoon

While I'd love to see it I also kinda doubt it, since they've been wholly eliminated from use in Disney due to the whole 'negative' thematics. You know, guns and cigars. It really has nothing to do with portrayals of Hispanics, Disney just doesn't want to show characters that have positive associations with firearms and smoking.

He doesn't smoke in the hueland comic.

...

Hello, what's going on this thread?

He has a comic here in Brazil

He is a smug fuck

Have you ever been to Bahia?

We don't like Panchito becuse we can't really related to him

But if you look at Speedy, a midget browny street rat that spend his free time robbing at the authority (most of the time gringos) and screaming in joy ¡ANDALE ARRIBA ARRIBA ANDALE!
We can totaly respect that.

Brazilian Joe Carioca is a lazy fuck, allergic to work and a scammer. It is sort of like Edd ed and Eddy scams. There are also some cousins representing different regions of Brazil from the workaholic Zé Paulista to the relaxed Zé Baiano.

Here are the pics of some of them. Fun fact: Jose Carioca was based on a real person, José do Patrocínio Oliveira.

I remember liking this movie, but hating Saludos Amigos. Their best post-Bambi 40s movie is Ichabod and Mr. Toad though.

The japs really like these two.
