I recently watched Lucky Number Slevin and wanted to find more work that the kid was in. Came across 30 Days of Night. The movie poster is 10/10, but is the movie itself actually worthy of my time?

I like vampire films, but what does Sup Forums think about this film?

It's a solid time pass.

great premise, decent execution

worth your time

Just found out was a graphic novel. Did you read that?

Probably one of the better vampire films made in the last 15 years

Yup. Not great but enough to make it worth a watch. I might watch it when I get home from work now you've brought it up.

It's the last really good vampire movie. Only one in recent memory that depicts vampires as monsters.

The ending was pretty retarded. The dude just fights off the vampire curse, why the fuck didn't anyone else do that before him?

>mfw you guys have made me excited for this movie.
OK, I'm watching it tonight.

Enjoy bro

I like that it's very bleak and the vampires actually feel intimidating.
The only complaint is the ending could have been better.

It's a decent film but If you like snowy landscapes at night you won't be disapointed.

Pretty decent. Not the best, but not the worst. Easy turn your brain off kinda watch

Great atmosphere and vampires were done well. Overall a solid movie.

Its a fun movie just dont take it too seriously.

What's with the prequel/sequel Dark Days and Blood Trails?
Any recommendation for that?

>we will never get a solid big budget rated R horror popcorn flick again
Thanks capeshit.

technically it is capeshit since it is also based on a comic book

IIRC they're Uwe Boll Tier garbage.

I really enjoyed.

Don't even think to search for the "sequel". Never.

Great movie.

Watch it with a stupid bitch who thinks vampires sparkle in the daylight for full visual effect.

Also, the sequel does not exist. Do not search for it.

Kinda dull, and that's not how a polar night works at all.

>dat overhead shot

From what I recall, it goes like

>"Day 1"
>"Day 2"
>"Day 18"
>"Day 30"

You get like 4 days of night.
Felt ripped off.
