it dont matter
none a this matters
Disney is gonna forget about Zootopia to focus on their The Rock movie

So, this is still in theaters. Hell, at my theater its getting more daily viewings than BvS.

So why the fuck are they already putting it on DVD in June?

Shit sucks, man

It's not going to reach a billion.

Disney didn't have faith in the film and wanted to get it out and over with asap.

Didn't it already do really well, basically? I hope this movie isn't just forgotten in like 2 months like other "good but no one cares" movies like Lego movie. You don't see that shit on cereal boxes or whatever

Isnt The Lego Movie getting a bunch of theatrical spin offs and a sequel?
plus everyone threw a fit when it wasnt nominated for the Oscars

>Disney's going to shift focus to its next film to be released.
? Obviously.

>no Zootopia thread for hours
Will w-we survive?

It will probably manage 950 million at this point

We will slip into a temporary coma for a while, then after the blu-ray deleted scenes and other unseen content arrives we will spawn back up and ruin the hotpockets weekends once again
from there a TV show or whatever the fuck Disney takes it with will help keep us alive

Remember when that guy said all it would get would be a max of 700 million? Those were the days...

...

...

what compels you to be cancer

>daily dose

Why wouldn't they? Isn't it better to ride the hype train and put the home release out as fast as you can?

Did they really had no faith in the movie? They are close to 1 billion dollars in earnings without a massive marketing campaign, that shit is seriously impressive

These threads aren't allowed to stop until these two officially get together. I need it.
it'll never happen ; ;

>not knowing the difference between legitimate discussion and having perpetual cancer generals

Just let us keep lying to ourselves please

do you think Nick was bullied for being homosexual?

It had like 5 years of development hell and they barely advertised it. The lack of trying to get people out to see this movie gives off the impression they weren't initially hopeful for it, at least how I figure. Hell, I and other friends of mine had to look up the release date only to see that it was already out. The question now is how Disney will react seeing as how in just 2 months it almost hit 1billion with as little marketing as it had realizing they fucked up and start trying to backpedal on marketing it, or just let it fade off and move on to Finding Dory and Moana.

...

...

>Disney realizes marketing is a waste of time when you're fucking Disney, and stops spending half their budgets on posters
if only

"muh golden week" you forgot they are notnstoppijg to air the movie yet, some box offices weren't updated yet too.

Gee, its like you don't want to bieleve a bunny can be a cop, bogo

Judy can be a cop, she just can't be a cop without violating a huge sum of laws and protocol.

>You were born just in time to watch disney rake in billions with no advertising at all

>it wasn't nominate for the Oscars

that's the point though, it's like no one remembered it enough to vote for it or some shit.

I can only hope Zootopia keeps up its momentum in the face of Pixar sequel shit and Tumblr Princess feat. The Rock.

>implying Nick's shitposting can't transcend time and space to reach our own dimension and reality

This genuinely upset me. The one time it's totally cute and logical for the two leads to hook up and they decide to leave them as friends. For fuck sake the movie theme was about acceptance and preds/prey putting aside bias, how much more fitting story-wise than a pred and prey that saved the entire city end up loving each other.

I know it would have felt rushed but fuck it, didn't 5 months or something pass before the concert? I think Rich tweeted it or whatever? they could've hooked up.

a movie that reaches a billion or gets close to it doesn't really disappear that easily

all that matters is that Disney capitalizes on it
look at Avatar - highest grossing movie of all time, yet no one gives a shit about it anymore, and thats because they refused to even touch it after its run was over

Titanic still hasn't gotten a sequel nearly 20 years later

>You were born just in time to witness a billion dollar movie disappear that easily

>Disney is gonna forget about Zootopia
its their 2nd biggest after Frozen, did they forget Frozen 2 year later?

No, Deadpool did the opposite with the same effect, massive marketing campaign and they made quite a bit. Then I guess there's BvS, massive marketing and hype, and simple name recognition, wonder what other directors and shit will drop out of those projects.

I just hope it can weather the storm for the next couple months, as I seriously doubt either Finding Dory or Moana will be as good as it -- but one has the added factor of being a sequel to one of Pixar's most beloved films (centered on Ellen Degeneres fish) and the other is a brown princess movie being released just in time to be Oscar-bait in much the same way Frozen and Big Hero 6, unfortunately, were.

>Moana and finding dory don't do enough to come close to zootopia
>Disney backpedals super hard
>Zootopia 2 guaranteed

I know is wishful thinking and hoping other movies to fail but maaaaan I want a sequel in the future.

Careful what you wish for. How many disney sequels were good besides rescuers and pixar?

This is actually 100% true.
Disney is at a point now where they could have an entire film be about some princess singing while taking a dump and it would rake in at least $800 million and end up as certified fresh on RT without any significant advertising.

I'm fine with Zootopia's success since it deserves it, but as a film geek find myself worrying over how much control Disney has over the film industry. It has gotten to the point where they are literally sucking all of the oxygen out of the room for non-Disney films, which is even more sad seeing as the majority of their films aren't much to look twice at. Most are generic films that clearly were filtered by a focus group before release.

How in the hell they ended up with a gem like Zootopia is a miracle, especially with all of the last-minute changes.

WiR didn't do to well, yet it's getting a sequel. BH6 didn't do nearly as well and it's getting a show. Disney isn't done with this.

...

I wouldnt cite the Direct-To-DvD bullshit era of Disney as something they still do

I actually believe they can pull off a sequel these days, but maybe thats just me hoping Incredibles 2 wont suck

>saw Zootopia 3 times
>made a Zootopia-sona
>volunteered to be my school mascot in elementary and middle school (a cat suit for elementary and a dragon suit for middle)
>I post on Sup Forums
>starting to lust after one of the characters
>mfw adding this all up

A-Am I a furry?

Why do people have this stupid mentality? You do realize there is a lot on Disney's plate right? You know they aren't gonna announce a sequel anytime soon because they have a lot of shit in development. When they announced Frozen 2, there wasn't much in development except Zootopia and Big Hero 6. Now they're working on Moana, Gigantic, Frozen 2, Wreck-it Ralph 2 and an untitled film. Frozen 2 isn't coming out till 2020. Disney will make a sequel, they're just busy with a lot of other shit at the moment.

Yes.. Yes you are.

I saw Zootopia 4 times

You have even used a pseudo-fursuit, there is no going back now.

>starting to lust after one of the characters
which one

You're welcome.

Only 4?, I saw it 5 times, its not a movie, its an experience, you just want to live in that city/state.

That's why we ask for more, I want to hop on these ice pieces in tundratown, go to casino at Sahara square at night, swing on rope in rainforest.

give us at least some shorts, gisnep

The bunny

But it's not like I -was- the mascot. All I had to do was run and jump around.

Absolute madman.
I've only saw it once in theatres, I watched the camrips twice after.

Bunny is O.K. plenty of guys want to fuck the bunny, as long as you don't go any weirder than that you should be safe.

...

Post child judy

Don't lewd the Jude, you lewd crude rude bag of pre-chewed food dude.

And plenty of girls want to fuck the fox, these degenerates...

Now that's the best Judy humanization I've seen.

Nick is a more interesting character than Judy
Judy was a better lead than Nick
The sequel should focus on Nick

This just in, drawing polygons is harder than it looks.

Also, have a tiny bogo.

Man I wish I'd gone to see it earlier now, as I finally have and discussion is dead.

Anyway, its a remarkably well realized and thoughtful film. I really don't have anything bad to say about it other than thinking some scenes towards the beginning had to have been cut that would have helped elucidate Nick's continued motivations and the deepening of their friendship . . . but that's it.

Can we agree it was better than Frozen?

do it gisnep

Literally everyone here agrees it was better than frozen.

>Can we agree it was better than Frozen?
Yes

Try to draw something hard and post the results regardless of how it turned out

I've done it before, but none of them ever turn out how I want them to, and it's time consuming.

Here's my favorite of all of them...

Saved

There's something I like unironically about these sketches and I don't know what

I usually try to be accurate as possible while putting in minimum effort, because autism.

Have another for the taking.

I sincerely hope Bird Minions doesn't outsell it. It looks like utter trash and I hate what it represent about modern video games

Is this really the fastest home release in Disney history? That's a good thing, right?

Danks m8

about fucking time

Does anyone know what brush chumpy uses?

>that smug bunny
10/10

Is it? I guess if it were true, that would reflect on Disney's lack of planning for this thing's release.

It's honestly better they didn't, that'd be one less thing to look forwards to in the sequel

If there's a sequel

He's in the /trash/ right now, you could go ask?

First!

There's only one bunny that's allowed to be smug, and that's Jack Savage.

>the bullets are replaced by blueberries

Oh man it looks like Nick had a lot of fun in that no hands pie eating contest! He even won a cool little water pistol!

...

Depends, we won't know until it is released.

Early home releases are usually bad signs, but then again furries are loaded with dough and known for buyfaggotry so maybe it'll be good to just get their cash now.

...

I believe studios are releasing movies even fast now because of future 4k releases. Gotta get those regular BD bucks fast!

Wouldn't be the first time.

i already forgot what happened to the movie and im going to watch it again

are you tired about zootopia yet Sup Forums?

I still live on dvds, and now blu-ray is getting replaced by 4k?

How does Sup Forums feel about Rich?

4k Blu-rays are like 3D blu-rays, a doomed format. Considering the majority of consumers are still on DVDs and will primarily move on to streaming they will never get much adoption.

Zootopia was rendered at 2k anyways

I imagine that Byron sends him like 5 emails a day saying "Stop telling people those two are fucking!!!!"

He really is a shitposter extraordinaire. I wish I could be paid a million bucks to direct movies and shitpost on the internet

That bunny on the far right seems really sad

Maybe they'll make a radio show?

Considering how gay Sup Forums is, there is a surprising lack of Judy/Bellwether.

Any new finnick art? My folder for him is very little.

Judy wouldn't be dumb enough to fall for Jack savages suave act and let him hurt Nick would she?

Here's some Finnick x Nick

of all the pairings this is the one I'm least likely to believe
