Can we please stop judging movie details by the Trailer?

none of this post makes sense

people never criticized Spidey's eyes they usually pointed out the black parts on his arms and the small logo

They criticized the fuck out of it user. Sup Forums was wrong as usual

My thing about his eyes is...if he needs the blinders because they're overly sensitive, how does he function normally out of costume?

You make it sound like it was a long time ago. It was only like 2 months ago and I remember the majority of people bitching about the black strips and only a few hating the eyes. But I agree with the point you're making.

Dude, literally everyone was shitposting endlessly about how eyes are shit because they are not muh mcfarlane

with glasses

I still don't like the black stripes very much, and I'd prefer more webbing. The costume did look much better in action than it did for the brief time it was in the trailer, though.

I always liked the eyes.

>Can we please stop judging movie details by the Trailer?
The purpose of the trailer is to make people judge the movie before it's out.

Also,
>we

True, but people keep clinging to minor insignificant details, like they make or break the film and start hating or loving the movie based on them before it comes out, which is fucking dumb.

I like the black stripes, I don't get why the top half has black while the bottom half has blue though.

>bottom half has blue
?

He even says the sensory overload happens "when things happen" - I suppose his spider-sense is tied to adrenaline.

>turns out, they are automatically adjustable, because Peters eyes are light sensetive.

As if this bullshit makes it ok. And now his eyes will do this shitty mechanical sound every time he "emotes".

Soooooo, Now he can do it. IRL!
Marvel is really getting smart with these emotive mask workarounds.

>getting

as if therere any more examples of Marvel making masks convey an expression.

I wish we got a better, longer look at the cheap homemade suit. Are there toys of it?

I hope his suit gets thrashed in Homecoming and he has to wear the old one again, temporarily.

It's an unnecessary explanation that made how silly the whole thing was kind of stand out.

Deadpool's eyes didn't need any camera shutters. They just moved. No need for overexplaining shit.

deadpool

>because Peters eyes are light sensetive.
This is never fucking said in the movie, you god damn troglodyte.

His "senses" overwhelm him. Meaning is fucking spider-sense.

Deadpool came from a cartoonier movie. The MCU is too grounded in realism for "they just move" to be acceptable

He says all his senses were dialed up to 11 when Tony asks how he can see in his crappy goggles.

All it really means is his vision is so good that even terrible dark goggles don't impair it too much. And the reason the goggles are dark, though not stated directly, is obviously so people can't see his eyes.

He doesn't actually need to block out light or anything. It's not like Riddick.

It's acceptable. And it's not only acceptable, by not bringing attention to it you avoid making how silly it is obvious.

Was the suit completely CGI? Or did they make a physical suit for Holland to wear for reference?

Even the bit in the airport where he took his mask off seemed like cgi

Or Spider-Man 2099 with Miguel being sensitive to light

I'm thinking it was probably Holland/a stunt actor in a mocap suit. I really hope they go with an actual suit for Spider-Man after this, the CGI isn't going to age well.

I hope so too

Granted these films are CGI heavy and that's completely understandable, but if they don't have Holland ever wearing a physical suit for his solo film it would kind of ruin the magic. I like the idea of there being a tangible suit for the actor to wear on set. I suppose for civil war it may have been because of a time constraint sorta thing or maybe because they didn't have enough time to get Holland into Spider-Man shape to look good enough for the suit

Deadpool's eyes were just that, eyes, all you need is to assume that his mask was made out of a material light enough to move along the face's muscles

Spiderman's eyes on the other hand cover much more that just the eyes and are usually depicted as made of more solid material like glass, that shit can't move period in a real life scenario

>All it really means is his vision is so good that even terrible dark goggles don't impair it too much.

>what is "spider-sense"?

Goddamn casuals.

You had to assume his mask perfectly covered the inside of his fucking eyelids and had white plastic lenses underneath them. Don't be stupid.

Thank you, I thought I had to fend for myself there.

>real life scenario

>What the movie says is wrong even though it doesn't actually contradict anything in the comics and I'm just being a contrarian dipshit.

>What the movie says
Has, literally, nothing to do with with light sensitivity.

>m-m-muh realistic fan theories!

are there any good images around yet of his amateur homemade suit before Tony upgraded him?

Thanks for agreeing.

>Can we please stop judging movie details by the Trailer
were you born yesterday?

It's pretty much this but with less detail, black eyes and one-piece mask, no hood. There is no good shot in the movie, we only see it in shit quality youtube videos and folded.

>the spiderling.
I can't blame him, the name fits for that at least.

>Even the bit in the airport where he took his mask off seemed like cgi
Nah, it's just because it's flat and there's no raised webbing - precisely how it should be.

Not really, it looked like CGI still.

Its a mocap suit. Its an actual suit, but they CGI'd the Spider-Man texture over it.

So in essence, it is CGId.

Are his web shooters mechanical or organic?

Mechanical
please not here

Mechanical. And now they house a surface projectable stark tech computer interface...which he is also gonna use as a spot light to scare crooks.

Was anyone else weirded out that Peter and May were in an apartment and not a house?

I mean, change with the times and the viability of home ownership but still...

Watch the fucking movie.

As long as they keep the movable eyes and design of the suit.

It's whatever

>And now they house a surface projectable stark tech computer interface

This is literally never stated in the movie. Quit making shit up.

The only thing it has aside from actually shooting webs, is the spider signal.

>wuz

Why so hostile friend?

Because they flat out say whether or not its mechanical or organic in the movie. Watch it. Listen to what the characters say.

He was just asking a question though. What's your problem?

>Watch a movie you otherwise have no interest in to gleam one detail that could just as easily be answered by asking one question on an image board

>maybe 10 or so people complain
>Sup Forums is wrong!

I wish you faggots would stop trying to start shit.

>btfo toby fags revisioning history
Cry harder

I actually didn't care for the raimi films or the garfield films. Please kill yourself anytime

Not marvel, fox.

I was one of those people OP. I criticized the mechanical eyes narrowing because I thought it was fucking stupid. I get that they did it because it mimics the way he was drawn in the comics. It gives him a little more personality (which is a big part of how Spidey fights) and it was a fun little grab for the trailer.

But you know what. It was like a 2 second shot from an otherwise pretty damn great (but definitely not perfect ) movie. Didn't ruin it for me.

My problem wasn't the narrowing, it looked fine during fights. My problem was the stupid mechanical whirring it made.

In the post credits scene, it's got all those widgets rotating around it. If it was just a spotlight it would be a spotlight, not have all those stark tech projection thingies floating and turning around it.

It has an options menu as shown in the fucking movie, did you not pay fucking attention to the fuckinh ring around the spidey symbol you fucking mong?

Nigger you wot?

Did you miss the after credits scene? His web shooters host a computer now full of stark tech shit. It's got email, phone, tv, internet, etc.

Go pirate it then, asshole. Watch the scene.

>It has an options menu
It literally does not.

2 posts above yours

Did you not look at the corners you easily impressed sperg?
There is a fucking ring of options around the signal you dumbass, go watch the actual movie instead of the cam and pay attention.

>Did you not look at the corners you easily impressed sperg?
Yeah, its just generic tech porn. There are no actual "options" or "menus" so to speak of.

>b-b-b-but my headcanon is fact!

>there is no actual menu
Software dev here, ever heard of minimalist interfaces?
Pay attention, it's a menu.

>b-but it doesn't have words
Do you know what a menu is is you dumbass?

>Peters eyes are light sensetive

Aren't everyone's eyes light sensitive?

>Pay attention, it's a menu.
Not until it actually is shown being a menu on screen. As it currently stands, its a spot light. That's, literally, it.

It literally has a tv, internet, phone, and email icon rotating around the side of it. What the fuck did you even watch?

Why the fuck would spiderman need a spotlight? That's about as stupid as batman having the batsignal on his wrist.

"Oh shit, there's some crime here! Better summon myself by aiming my logo at the sky even though i'm right here! Best give the baddies warning that i'm like right outside their door!"

>Why the fuck would spiderman need a spotlight?

You just outted yourself as a gigantic fucking casual.

Spider-Man has ALWAYS had a fucking spotlight. Pic related is from ASM #5, published in 1963.

Nice way to deflect the fact that you're getting anally destroyed on the fact that his mechanical shooter is also a stark computer.

He used it as a flashlight when investigating sometimes, and scaring criminals. I feel like spotlight is the wrong word to use

>is also a stark computer.
Screenshots as proof?

>Why the fuck would spiderman need a spotlight?
He's had this since ASM #2, when he develops his utility belt, moron. We first see him use it in ASM #3 (pic related).

In the 60's animated series, it was moved to his webshooters.

Read a comic or two.

Better yet, why not go pay 8.50 and see it in action?

...

>and see it in action?
I've seen the movie twice. What you're saying is not in there.

Until you supply actual screenshots with hard evidence, you're just making shit up.

>I almost wish for a foe who can give me any real opposition
>gets the shit kicked out of him by Doc Ock hours later
Oh Peter

It's your word against the internets, dude.

...

what site do you use to stream from?

putlocker

It's also a menu?

Looks like menu options to me. You think they're gonna go full Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and give him electric webs Ben Riellys impact webbing?

*or maybe Ben Reilly
also didnt he have a bunch of extra stuff in the cartoon like a targeting display?

You want a bunch of internet nerds to stop whining and bitching about nothing? Good luck, mate.

There are two post-credit scenes. You missed the second one.

I saw it. Twice. How else would I know about the spotlight?

No one complained about the eyes, at all, infact most of the more positive comments were aboit the eyes. The main complaints that people had when the unfinished cgi trailer came out was the lines on the arm and the lack of webbing over the costume. I have no idea what you are on about, but you are wrong.

Sup Forums was wrong!

There were some complaining early on. But it died quickly.

Most of the whining I saw was about it not being Toby, and that the suit looked too CGI:y

Go watch the second scene again and PAY ATTENTION, just because you are a fuckinh spaz that can't notice details doesn't mean everyone else is also retarded.

Yes, why do people argue against shit they didn't spot?.

You did see the SC yeah? You saw it twice and missed twice. Why argue like a tard?

Can someone point me to a decent camrip of this movie?
