pure kino

Pulp fiction

...

American Beauty is pretty dope

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

>directed by a brit
>starring an Kiwi Aussie, 4 brits, an African, a Dane, an Irishman, and a Puerto Rican
>co-written by a brit
>music by a German and an Aussie
>edited by an Italian
>primarily produced by a British company
>about a Roman from Hispania in Italy and Germany

How is this an American film again?

>Puerto Ricans not American

Still something.

Barely

...

...

...

Fargo is pure kino, the TV series is brilliant as well

...

There's a reason why americans are the kings of comedy. Not much else though.

This one, probably the best American film ever made.

>TV series is brilliant
1st season is quite boring and 2nd was ruined by aliens.

Shawshank Redemption

Oh you mean Alien?

Have neither of you fags seen Citizen Kane, The Godfather Trilogy, or Casablanca?

God, Europoorans are so UNCULTURED.

...

Don't reply to this

Decker

VERY good taste but as brilliant as alien is it's "just" a slasher movie in space. Needs something more to be considered the best american movie.

Malcolm X

>needs something more

Oh boy

youtube.com/watch?v=9tjdswqGGVg
youtube.com/watch?v=pWv5iiWfACw

unironically this. The essential American movie

youtube.com/watch?v=NBTTipJX-h4

...

yes yes, very well Mehmet, HOWEVER

when it comes to movies:
usa > asia (especially hong kong) > latin america > europe

Matrix trilogy

unironically

hehe alright cletus

European kino > American flicks

>cletus
it's 2017, you should call him jose or treyshawn

Maybe not my favorite movie but I watched it recently and was a lot better than I expected

literally the soundcloud of film

Recommendations?

Holy shit Did your parents strap you to a chair and force to you to watch all Ingmar Bergman til you have that mindset

life of Pi

show me a better cast

Got a problem with Bergman?

Depends, what genre and time frame are we talking about.
The VVitch might be my favorite newer american made horror film.

it's a shitty cliche movie by a fedora tipper who tries to rewrite history to be as anti-white as possible anyway

youtube.com/watch?v=Z6lu3l0eWF8
braap

What the fuck is "anti-white" in gladiator?

Fisting Firemen 6

Have you read the works of plato and sophocles?

memes aside I love scandi crime shows like The Killings, Bridge, Trapped etc much more than the American ones and there is just a very recent top notch German show called Dark

.. and ripped off from the American movie The Fall of the Roman Empire

...

Maybe back in high school. That was just a meme pic that shouldn't be taken seriously in the slightest.

I live a couple miles from Salem and we took a couple spooky trips there as children where they had us tour the old courtroom and they told us everything about the trials and how dark and villainous it all was. Poor women never had a chance, they do things like tie a large rock to woman then throw her in a lake, and if she managed to free herself from the sailor knots and make it back to surface it was "obviously due to dark magic" and they would kill her anyway.

But the full week before Halloween is AMAZING there. It's like Carnival in Italy only spooky.

Why is batman fisting that wolf?

>American movie
we just call them movies here
anyway this has to be the best

...

Neat.

I assume he means they put black actors in it. The Roman empire was ethnically diverse, but Hollywood has an obsession with thinking sub-saharan africans were present in it. In the movie there was these Egyptian chariots with black riders too. It wasn't really "anti-white", but it was definitely a WE WUZ but only slightly.

patrician choice
david lynch is pretty based
very popular here after Icelanders were fairly major characters in the first season of Twin Peaks

goodfellas 2bh

t. italian

Twin Peaks is also good. Haven't seen the new one yet for some reason.

literally a film Europeans will NEVER understand

but I like this movie.

youtube.com/watch?v=pWdd6_ZxX8c

my high school physics teacher has written many articles on why this movie is so great
also pic related is in Reykjavík

The VVitch and Valhalla Rising.

>inb4 flag

Valhalla Rising is danish

I want to buy some beers and drink something European and interesting. Preferably crime related but not necessary.

Problem is I have seen everything. Every time I ask for suggestions everyone posts the same shit (A prophet. pusher ect).

Can some euro link me some lesser know gems. I will be forever grateful

Pic related - New Zealand art house cinema.

I can't name any particular movie as my favorite.
One of the last good movies I've seen recently are The Warriors, Black Rain and The Thing. First two were good and the last for some reason had weird sedative effect. I fell asleep and woke up by the time of the final explosion. Same happened when I saw Alien, and, probably, Phantasm.

what genre

Er Piu with Celentano - a comedy about pre-wwi street gang
I Guappi with Franco Nero - grim eurocrime about Camorra
Brat by Balabanov
Samurai by Melville
Borsalino
The square peg
La Grande Vadrouille
Dogs of war
Fantomas

Crime

Forman is my country's only worthwhile export.

cadaveri eccellenti
indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto
non si sevizia un paperino
sette orchindee macchiate di rosso
poliziottesco movies if you like the genre: like milano calibro 9, roma a mano armata, il giorno della civetta

spanish one that I liked:
marshlands

Fear and loathing in las vegas/leboaki
Any tarantino
Heat
Goodfellas
Matrix

>favorite American films
you can drop "american" from your question
since all of them are american

good choice

this ameripost is not genuine, I rate it fake ameripost/10, try harder

@82627568
>amerimuttquote.jpg

that's fantastic

are there any good international european movies? where do they make them in europe? in paris?

why not?

Lawrence of Arabia is listed as UK and US so I'll switch to that then.

...

I remember I put that on randomly after a night of drinking and after about 20 minutes all I could think is what in the fuck am I watching? But I couldn't stop paying attention to it. Kind of hypnotizes you

>your favorite american movie is about a british war hero played by a british protagonist taking place during a british campaign in a british protectorate, also good choice.

not even yanks are this yank, every non-trailer trash american has watched european movies and thinks they are somewhat more "sophisticated" and "deep", if you want to pretend to be a total pleb do it right.

kek burgers btfo

I really like comfy movies about the "deep" America

Kino

>TV
>brilliant
Do brits really believe this?

this is the single greatest film to have come out of burgerland desu

This looks comfy. Worth watching?

The Thing is god tier. You watched the one with Kurt Russel, right?

Guess this was pretty good

That was a phenomenal movie

I remember seeing it in theatres and thought not much of it but dubs don't lie; should I rewatch it?

>should I rewatch it?
definitely
didn't fully appreciate it myself after watching it in theaters but watching it again at home made me realize how much I loved it

a shame that filmmakers haven't ventured further into the whole 3D animation thing

that movie is VERY uncanny, even more than final fantasy

>a shame that filmmakers haven't ventured further into the whole 3D animation thing
allow me to disagree

>even more than final fantasy
it's uncanny at some points but it's nowhere near final fantasy tiers of uncanniness

>allow me to disagree
who knows, if they bothered making more of them they could have perfected it and we could have been living in the golden age of 3D animated kino right now
