I wasn't here to talk about it at the time, but what did Sup Forums think of Kung Fu Panda 3?

And why is Mei Mei so cute?

I actually didnt see it but the discussion here made it seem pretty mediocre before drifting back into shipping talk.
I assume Poe didn't smash that, which is unfortunate cause she looks like a qt

It was cool how the movie showed that Po is actually in pretty good shape for a Panda.

It was underwhelming but okay enough.

>Kung Fu Panda 3
>Po's two dads get ''married''
>adopt Po
>turns out Po is gay too
>has to help him fight prejudice in the dojo
>muh evil bigots
>muh oppression
>two hours of literal gay furry porn
worst movie I've ever seen

I will not bother seeing this movie because the romantic subplot that was set in KFP2 was ignored. That was the only remaining dramatic question unanswered and KFP3 never answered it. Instead, they tell us about some fucking village full of fat retards that no one wanted to see. KFP2 teased us with "where did Po come from?" but also pretty much answered the question as well because, well from some place with pandas, duh. And? Fuck that. Fuck this movie.

The villain was underwhelming. It kinda dampened the rest of the film for me. Tai Lung and Shen were amazing. Kai was just kinda there to move the plot along.

Oh, a new KFP3 thread!

Better late than never!

it's great, but I was disappointed with the lack of exciting combat sequence despite of the spirit world scene

The trailer's made this incredibly apparent.

I didn't really feel like a movie, it honestly felt like I was watching a long, well animated TV special.

*it

Pretty fucking great. The focus on le funny panda village shenanigans is pretty meh, but it makes up for it with a more prominent use of Chinese spirituality philosophy and sheer visual beauty. It's also a great continuation of Po's character arc and growth as the Dragon Warrior, tying everything up neatly. Makes me wonder if there's gonna be a 4th one if this one was such a good ending to Po's story.

Also holy shit this fucking music.

eh, it's good but lacked of John Powell's melodic punch

not as good as 1 or 2 but a fine film none the less.

Honestly I think with the first one and it's sequel where flummoxed that these ended but any decent at all so by the time three rolled out we had higher expectations.

Oh, I agree that the previous movies had much better music overall, KFP2 will always be my favorite movie score. But The Dragon Warrior is the one track from KFP3 that reaches that same level of quality, or at least comes very close.
The way I see it, I can listen to every single track of the KFP2 soundtrack a million times, every single one is amazing. With the KFP3 soundtrack I can listen to like half of them a million times and ditch the others. The music was always at its greatest in the action scenes, and KFP3 just didn't have as many of those.

>Reading the art book
Holy shit it's obvious this movie went through a LOT of rewrites throughout production. Like half of the stuff in this book wasn't used at all in the final movie, like Mei Mei's love shack and her entire marriage subplot.
Fun fact: Kai originally had four arms and thousands of root-like tendrils he used to suck the chi from warriors.

>Dreamworks exported their studio to China
>Then gets bought off
Fuck KFP.

They should have stuck with the darker tone of 2 and tried to make a villain as interesting as Shen. The panda village was awful and fell into the obvious trap of overloading on goofy characters. It only makes it worse that the climax of all their pointless shenanigans was a Jar Jar Binks style battle. They honestly should not have set up Po's dad at all. It adds almost nothing compared to what it could because big surprise he's a fucking idiot as well.

It might have been more interesting if the pandas were in fact actually competent chi masters from the beginning. That would have given Po something to work for instead of stumbling into yet another achievement. Does his character earn anything anymore?

Attention paid to the furious five apart from Tigress was pointless, as it always is, but here there was way more of it. Beating these guys adds so little intimidation factor to the villain that it somehow made Kai look even more pathetic.

Really the only good parts were the spirit realm and Oogway. With such a beautiful and spiritual setting they could have upped the stakes, even past 2. But they didn't care about any of that. Here's some fucking pandas.

All the scenes with Oogway were the best scenes in the movie. Fuck, I'd forgotten how much I missed him.
>Our battle ended 500 years ago!
>Well, now I'm ready for a rematch.
>Took you long enough! Heheheheh!

I would pay to see this just to witness the varied reactions the audience might have.

Yeah, the opening was great
>tfw the music of this scene isn't on the ost
