FULL K I N O

Way better than the original.

I think I'll watch it again today

Wouldn't go that far, but the technical effects were amazing.

Iy went to shit in the last act. The tone became too pulpy compared to the stright horror that came before, the rain of blood was cool, but the Big Bad was a fucking joke and straight out of generic J-Horror.

...

Just a scene for scene remake but it's still good.

...

...

That sequence was amazing

Dawn of the Dead 2004.

fuck me harder steve

Great remake to A Serbian Film

>Guy reads book
>"When 10 sacrifices are made the ultimate evil will rise blah blah"
>Sketches of crazy massive demons and monsters
>10 people die
>Blood rain
>Omg omg holy fuck this is amazing
>.....
>Some tiny frail girl demon with covered nipples that can't even stand up appears

Literally could have been absolutely fucking amazing and they fucked it up THEY FUCKED IT UPPPPPPPP

ah hell yeah

This is the only thing I've seen in a theater since I was a little kid to genuinely get my heart going and make me feel that hype. So satisfying

Truly fantastic gore

> The texas chainsaw massacre
> Hills have eyes
> I spit on your graves

Yes

Evil Dead remake was pretty good, but the reason I like the original (and ED2 is one of my favoure movies) is because of the balance it keeps between horror, comedy, and surreal elements. The remake had none of the humor and none of the surreal imagery. So while competent, there's no way I can rank it as good as the original.

The dingus with the glasses provided some laughs

so

i never saw the original

i didnt enjoy this

it was like, just gore, wasnt really scary just gave me that cringy feeling of it was trying tohard to just disgust you

Not the same tbqh. Movie had nothing even close to youtube.com/watch?v=SOpcdJ_V5_M

I did like it as a straight horror, though. It's just I didn't love it.

Was it her painted up to look a bit demonic? Or was it just supposed to be a random antichrist demon girl? Because they looked too similar, it fucking annoyed me and was also a bit boring.

The necronomicon had a picture of a black goat demon, would have appreciated that more.

I think the remake was as good as an Evil Dead remake could ever be. If they tried to make it funnier like ED2 it would have failed horribly and would be remembered as nothing but a bad cash grab like most remakes, but as it's own thing which pays respect to the originals it works.

Only decent film Snyder ever made besides maybe 300

Fair enough. But the madcap scenes like you posted found in ED2 and beyond aren't really present in the first one.

I was really impressed with the gore treatment in the remake.

the original was scary and comedic (no matter what the autistic crowd claiming it was all horror try to say)

the 2nd one was action/comedy/horror (in that order)

the 3rd was comedy/action (again, in that order)

the remake was straight horror with a pulpy 3rd act

>Iy went to shit in the last act.
I thought that part was great. Mia being resurrected and going back to human (while all the other characters were killed off) was a nice change of pace.

also: has anyone watched the new extended edition, does it add anything neat?

...

clever

underappreciated bait

oh...
brb

>dude... she cut her fuckin arm off
Huge laugh in the theaters. So did "let me suck your cock pretty boy"
I personally thought Mia watching the other girl and saying "don't do it bitch don't cut it off" was hilarious.

Jane Levy has a really expressive face thats good for horror. Pic related. I still remember the scene after the trees rape her and she tells hew brother how she wants to leave. Her face was intense and she really seemed mortified.

Shaved

This legitimately. There's a couple of annoying scenes, but for the most part it was fairly enjoyable. It shocked me.

Only cause it had this fine piece of chocolate ass.

I think the remake was quite similar in tone to the first one, sort of wackiness amidst the overall pervading darkness. Didn't get really wacky until the sequel.

I like the show but I guess we're never going to get that crossover.

Agreed

...

That show kind of dragged in season 2 and became transparently directionless. I dunno if it's renewed but I hope S3 will just take one plot and follow it through and also be more about Ash.

>that scene in the movie where she freezes up and literally pisses herself
mmm

...

Imagine the blood as my cum desu and Jane Levy just wanted to share it with Tabitha from Gotham

It has been renewed, but as far as I know it has a new showrunner because the old one kept clashing with a producer.
That's why the finale especially was so underwhelming, but God knows what it means for season 3.

not a remake, it's another adaptation of a book, a FAR more accurate one at that, though it still take some liberties like different characters being Things.

it does copy the title scene from the 1950s movie however, as tribute.

How could anyone not enjoy this? It was murder porn. It was glorious. One of my most memorable and enjoyable movie going experiences

>work at a theater being an usher
>we get to see free movies
>one day on a weekday I catch it after work
>the audience are gasping myself included
>everyone is collectively cringing
>it's brutal and I'm cringing at the gore while laughing hysterically
>come out of the theater thinking, for once the audience didn't ruin it for me as if they almost bettered the experience
>as if collectively we shared that movie
>forget I took acid and wrecked my car in the parking lot

Watched it again sober the same week in theater and then a few times on video and still thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't see how anyone couldn't appreciate this. One could argue it's better than the original purely in terms of quality and and gore effects. It fully delivered and expounded upon the source material without shitting on it.

When I heard of the cross over they wanted to do I was so butt hurt it never came to fruition.

>not a remake, it's another adaptation of a book

Fair point.
