>"Such a constitutional treaty has to be written by a convention that includes civil society and the people."
>"This constitutional treaty will then have to be put to the member states and those that don’t approve it will automatically have to leave the EU."

truly causes one to ponder

Germany truely is the best nation
Not Balkanising them was the best decision we made
Not leaving the Russians to genocide them was the best decision we made!

>United States of Europe

(。・ω・)ノ゙baibai

>tfw socialism actually will win and there is nothing that Sup Forums weenies can do about it

they're losing it
but by all means, they should push through federalisation under such pseudo-moral dilemmas. we see before us the last acts of this freakshow called European Union

LET ME IN FAGGOTS

Soon, insallah

Sure.
But I want my wages to be equal to the wage of a German citizen working in the same field.

Otherwise they can go fuck themselves dearly.

Remember back when the Euro was adopted and "conspiracy theorists" would say it was a plan to federalize Europe?

Real Talk: This is a good idea. Less countries is the future

You mean brits and Norwegians?

We wanted to keep them separated, so did France. It was the US that pushed for reunification because they didn't want the EU to collapse.

>socialism
*judaism

IF IT'S COUNTABLE YOU HAVE TO SAY "FEWER"

GOD DAMN NORTH AMERICANS

*incoming eubots*
>poles are lazy
>poles are corrupt
>poles are ungrateful

I want canada to be U.S territory.

Protip: native speakers don't give a shit about arbitrary grammar rules. We can understand each other perfectly fine no matter what.

>Remember back when the Euro was adopted and "conspiracy theorists" would say it was a plan to federalize Europe?
Not really? It was obvious since the beginning.

People pushing it were claiming it was just a conspiracy theory.

>Fewer
>Fuhrer

Less countries is the future you nazee trash gtfo

We're on a Mongolian basket weaving forum. 'Standard English' isn't the appropriate register to use here.

>We can understand each other perfectly fine no matter what.

I'd rather not be "America 2". I'd support a fusion only if Mexico was on board as well.

>Not leaving the Russians to genocide them was the best decision we made!
What did you mean by this?

>I'd rather not be "America 2".
You already are

>prescriptivist autism
There are exceptions to the rule anyway, nobody says "fewer than 10%"

That's because 10% is [a] percentage.

Could you provide a source for your claims?
Because I don't recall it ever happening
Maastricht Treaty was signed in 1992 bub and it was a massive milestone towards federalisaition.

LMAO
leafy education

And a percentage is a fraction of 100. Fractions of 100 can be counted.

Side Thought: Canada is kinda partially Chinese in origin. I get that this triggers nationalists, but they were around in large quantities during the early years. After all, they built the railroad.

Also, before you say it- I'm not a triggered "chink". My family is very much from Europe.

are you dumb? a percentage can't be counted, its a proportion.

Absolutely vile

>20,000 chinese imported workers in BC built the entire CPR
Zhang pls

Countries aren't an exception though.

>numbers can't be counted
Wew

Not to mention that less is used when referring to specific units of distance and time as well.

I wouldn't mind.

Malaka, I long for the day when I will see English going to study in Germany and Cyprus, lmao lmao.

Sup Forums must be imploding right about now.

I'm all up for it.

Alex Jones was right

Malaka, was I the only person who read the EU leaflets they gave us at school.
It is the same with the politics of the United states.

THEY LITERALLY PUBLICLY ANNOUNCE THE GENERAL PLAN YEARS AHEAD, WHILE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT BOTHER "WAKE" AFTER YEARS AND ARE LIKE:
>MUH CONSPIRACY.

ΟΤΙ ΝΑ'ΝΑΙ!

im ok with this

>Greece was """""bailed out""""" by poorer eastern European countries
>Greece so ungrateful
>maybe it was a mistake to take them in

>Eastern Europe doesn't obey us completely
>Eastern Europe so ungrateful
>maybe it was a mistake to take them in

>Southern Europe spent all their mooney on alcohol and women
>Southern Europe so ungrateful
>maybe it was a mistake to take them in

why is the e""""u"""" so much into virtue whoring?

A proportion can't be counted. Its a proportion, a rate, a fraction of an item, items, or sets of items.

you don't go, fewer than 13.6% of a plane got destroyed in the test scenario.
nor do you go, less than 42% of marbles were sold.
You impart "less" or "fewer" depending on the nature of the item you are describing not just because there's a percentage.

>have no political skills
>become president of the EUparliament
ruin it
>be chancellor candidate/leader of SPD
Fuck up both, ruin the SPD
>lead the EU into federalism

What is possibly going to happen next?

Germans are getting cocky again. We need another war

More countries is bad, if you're looking at from a historical perspective, empires grow and suppress what their inner sub-cultures want and destroy other, smaller foreigner cultures. World War 1 ended up happening iirc because there was too many outdated empires that didn't match what their cultures wanted.

Does he think anyone but Belgium would be willing to sign? Even Macron would most likely tell them to fuck themselves and make his own EU, and just forget about any Eastern country.

>socialism
>winning

I just want the Commonwealth Dominions to unite and take their rightful place as the Anglo lords of earth

Love it.

implosion

a united states of europe would be a good thing though.

also good.
(really Greece wins either way - in a United States of Europe you'd get fiscal transfers from Germany, and outside the EU you could abandon the shitshow of the Euro.)

>EU
>Socialist
laughing at this
their stupid competitiveness directives make nationalisation a pain in the arse. (i.e. you have to have railtrack and trains owned separately, which doesn't stop nationalisation but is a stupid waste of time when you have no interest in private rail companies existing and want closer integration of your rail network.)

Sounds good. Go ahead, Martin, wir glauben an dir!

its honestly history repeating itself
germans looking to expand their borders AGAIN
i am mind blown
i guess the post-war anti-german propaganda was right
never trust a kraut

Fucking hell Germany I swear, if we have to come over there AGAIN

oh the famous german autism

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy's_EndWar

"With the price of crude oil at USD $800 a barrel, the EU member states are forced to consolidate political, economic, and military power to form a united European superstate, the European Federation (EF), which has a greater population and Gross National Product (GNP) than the U.S. The United Kingdom and Ireland opt not to join the new state, however, and instead form their own union known as the "New Commonwealth," which remains neutral but allows European forces to man the missile defense uplink sites on its territory.

As EF membership is restricted to only the richest entities in Europe, nations too weak to join the EF, notably those in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, collapse completely and are subsequently taken over by Russia, who refer to it as "their land."[7] The U.S. and the EF regard each other's power as a threat to their own, and the fractured former allies embark on a costly space arms race with each other."

Ids habbeding

If it looks more-or-less like this, then fine.
If the member states will be the present nation-states, when fuck no.

But if they're conspiring to federalize Europe, how is that not a conspiracy theory?

>and outside the EU you could abandon the shitshow of the Euro
this is much more preferable

cute

...

>Ireland.
>Not joining.
Dropped.

Everyone knows a federal Europe has been in the process of being constructed.

The "Oh my god it's a conspiracy!" shit just comes from Britons who don't want to be a part of that and seek opt outs. It's not a conspiracy to say there are people who seek European unification, it's a conspiracy theory to say Britain would have been forced into such an arragement against her will. (As demonstrated by the fact we're now leaving.)

And it's a good thing we're leaving too. A United States of Europe was never a project we'd fit into and always one we'd fuck up for everyone else.

Incidentally we're miles behind track on what was expected after Maastricht. Play any 90s videogame with political elements (i.e. military or business simulator) and you'll find a United Europe.

>If it looks more-or-less like this, then fine.
>turkey

2 - 1
Also there's only 300k people there, so it's fine if it stays toghether

>if we have to come over there AGAIN
you wont the guy is trying his best to destroy his own party

A federal planet is the future for mankind
We, The Baltoids, approve of this plan and volunteer to lead the Eiropian people towards this goal.

>Ireland siding with Britain over literally anyone else

A conspiracy theory is a theory that a conspiracy is ongoing or occurred in the past. (i.e. "Thatcher let the Falklands get invaded so she'd be popular for going to war and getting them back")

It's not a conspiracy theory if it's known to have happened for certain, or generally accepted to have happened. ("Vladimir Lenin and some communists conspired to overthrow the provisional government in 1917")

It would probably be a conspiracy theory if you said, for example, that Schulz, Merkel and others had high level plans to force federalization on other states by 2018, since that's a much more specific and unverified claim.

>it's just a bunch of trade agreements, there's no ambition to create a...
>IT WAS NEVER A SECRET, WE WERE ALWAYS OPEN ABOUT OUR AMBITIONS TO CREATE THIS

another kraut politician who thinks it's smart to intimidate like this
this is nothing but "how to destroy the eu 101"

It actually makes sense. Ireland isn't some pro-EU boogeyman. They actually got fucked pretty hard by the German banks and have strong cultural and economic ties to the rest of the Anglo world.

>It's not a conspiracy theory if it's known to have happened for certain
Well of course not. If it's been confirmed it stops being a theory and becomes a fact.

>spent years fighting the brits for independence
>happy to cede government power to a larger supra government which shows that it operates in nebulous terms.

each time ireland posts, I lose respect for them.

HEIL

They got raped by the British so much historically, to the point they volunteered to the Central powers in WW1.

>it's just a bunch of trade agreements, there's no ambition to create a...
literally never happened.
in particular pay key attention to the words "monetary union"

>doesn't join because got fucked pretty hard by the German banks
Right and britain did absolutely nothing to us.

good post

You do get the difference between voluntary and involuntary, right?

What are you doing in Germany Stannis?

Congratulations, this was the most retarded post ever made on Sup Forums

Why?

Yeah, about 50€ billion, a currency in the tank, and some pensions

The EU's done more good than bad for us. They give us money, support us on Irish issues and most importantly treat us as equals in a union, something that the "United" Kingdom of England didn't. Retards don't seem to grasp that the UK still insists on treating us as one of their own as recent negotiations show. If Ireland ever left the EU then we'd be at the mercy at British imperialists trying to sway us back into the commonwealth.

>ted heath
Should be dug up, burned, and his ashes flushed down the toilet. Everyone knows he misled the British people to get us into the EU.

>"There are some in this country who fear that going into Europe we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty. These fears, I need hardly say, are completely unjustified."
-Your source.

>sway us back into the Commonwealth

Yes, you wouldn't want to live in a shithole like Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, much better to live in a paradise like India, South Africa, or America.

>really Greece wins either way - in a United States of Europe you'd get fiscal transfers from Germany, and outside the EU you could abandon the shitshow of the Euro

This and I want to enjoy the circus desu. I'll be out of here before USE happens anyway.

Stop copying us and simultaneously calling us retarded

We didn't sacrifice independence and sovereignty, as demonstrated by the fact we're leaving the EU.

The situation is perhaps best analogised to the situation of the Scottish parliament. Legally speaking, it isn't independent of Westminster but acting on behalf of it. At any time, Westminster can decide it's had enough and tell Nicola Sturgeon to shut it. Parliamentary sovereignty is maintained by taking that approach. The same is true of all EU legislation, etc. (Perhaps in individual terms, it's a bit like a lukewarm power of attorney.)

Incidentally think it's worth adding on here that I'm glad we left and I voted to do so, so this shouldn't be read as subtly defending the EU. It's just important to remember our actual position which has a lot of typically British fudging.

>I'll fight to win my independence just to voluntarily give it up again to a larger, more diffused, organization wherein the voice of my state would statistically be less represented than in my past rearrangement. Not to mention that the state I'm ceding my independence to doesn't even have a sound constitution and charter of rights is as nebulous as it can ever be.
stop branding yourselves as hypocrites. You fought so you could dictate the terms of your own government.
The only good thing the EU is at the moment is the Trade Union it represents and even that is falling apart.

Enjoy your dead end timeline Britain. Without Germany world had a chance. Now Earth is drained.

>much better to live in a paradise like India, South Africa, or America
Joining the commonwealth would allow any amount of pakis and Indians to come over here as they wanted though.

Who the fuck cares what the Schultz says ? Does he have any power ?
