Bryan Singer wants next "X-Men" to go to Space

>He continues, “But we’ve also introduced the tenants of time travel, which already exists in the comic book. Also I imagine – and this is the first time I’ve actually answered the question this way – but another thing that’s been introduced in the comics is a big alien, interstellar tenant within the X-Men universe that hasn’t been explored. And to me, that might be kind of fun because I’m a huge Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and exploring the X-Men universe and being able to utilize that would be exciting, visually. "

That's one of the few classic places they've yet to take the X-Men. Go full-on Shi'ar.

I want Bryan Singer away from these movies

Just in time for DPS.

>I want muh own Guardians movie for X-Men
Go home Singer, we're tired of you.

i want to see apocalypse less and less as each day goes on

>shi'ar
>trial of the phoenix
>scott's dad
>vulcan

finally

>Singer
>bad
not a fan of this new meme tbqh

Are you ready for Jean to eat a planet?

you know how it is now, they really have to work hard to make this movie flop. and even if the movie actually gets good reviews every day, people still remember the initial negative reviews from disneyshills

I wondered when someone at Fox would look at Guardians, look at Starjammers, and then start to see dollar signs.

>apocalypse teases phoenix
>AGAIN they depict it like it's some kind of internal force jean has deep down inside instead of some outside entity

why is this allowed

She does look kinda hungry. I be she could eat AN ENTIRE GALAXY!

probably exactly what happened, and Star Wars being popular again.

I've been bitching about him since DOFP

About damn time.
Before, the Fox movies had to deal with a butthurt "grounded" exec that refused to allow outlandish things that obviously audiences could never like such as Giant Robots, time-travel or aliens. Now the X-Men movies can use all these crazy things.

>singer leaves after x2 and the franchise is at death's door
>singer comes back and delivers one of the greatest superhero movies of all time
>suddenly reviews are saying it does the same stuff
>suddenly singer is horrible

Man, I wonder who would want these X-men movies to fail...

Bit late for variety. Should have had this thinking some time before allowing 3 installments of Jennifer Lawrence presents X-Games.

majorit of the reviews are actually positive

>starjammers movie
don't tease me

I don't want Marvel to get the X-Men rights back but Apocalypse and the whole new timeline is already a fucking mess, so you can fuck right off.

>new timeline is already a fucking mess
gee, just like in comics.
maybe you should fuck right on?

Fox owns Aliens so they can include the Brood and not even have to worry about a lawsuit.

>if the comics are shit then the movies should be too!
Thank god you weren't in charge of Civil War.

hey good point kek

Thank god, I don't care for Civil War.
I have a good taste both in comics and movies

As cool a some of X-Men's space concepts are it kinda neuters the "Humanity vs Mutantkind" theme they've managed to keep up by sticking to their own universe.
Which, hey, might be a good thing. We've had 15 years worth of angst. Might as well ditch the persecution angle and get into the mindlessly fun stuff.
I feel like there's still a lot of Earth-based X-men stories yet to do though; Onslaught, New X-Men, AvX, ayy lmaos should really be a last resort.
Or, I dunno, sell it to Marvel: Carol could really use The Brood.

That's no fun, show that the Brood have beaten Aliens before

>it's a shill post

>WELL I DON'T LIKE IT
>WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

Why did you even bother responding?

blah blah blah. I want Imperial Guard

Rude.

He does for the eternal glory of Disney

what's the point of having the Brood if Carol can't genocide them?

Just like that Steve Dude

What's the point of making a Captain Marvel movie?

Who is slutty and busty enough to be Hepzibah?

Some pornstar perhaps?
Bree Olson? She starred in human centipede iii

Savage Land when?

Bolstering a 50 year old brand name for starters.
Plus, you know, grrlbux and all that shit.

How about they fire Singer and hire someone who doesn't hate everything about the X-Men that isn't bears and twinks?

>29
>500 porns already
Wow.
Anywas, wouldn't mind her.

I think Marvel owns the Ka-Zar rights actually. He was allegedly one of their discussed projects a while back, around the same time Cloak & Dagger were first mentioned.

50 years of failures, you mean
it took a paki muslim to make ms marvel interesting

albeit, I liked both Claremont and Starlin's stuff, albeit Claremont's was heavily x-menish

I don't follow.

Is that new Tarzan movie Disney or other? Cause if it's a hit + Jungle Book being a hit I can see why they'd start looking at Ka-Zar

Too bad

The Sony leaks confirm that Marvel has the Savage Land, since Sony was interested in using it and they asked Fox if they had it, which they said no.

When you think about it, X-Men are basically 50% of marvel universe.

Which is why I never want their rights back with Marvel. They're more than capable of supporting their own universe, and would likely just blot out the chances of more obscure Marvel properties ever getting to the silver screen.

Not really, they mostly exist in their own little bubble. The only things about it that matter to the wider MU are the Savage Land and the Cosmic stuff.
The FF are more important to the MU.

I agree, not to mention that x-men would be used to boost avengers. I don't want wolverine in avengers

How does one remain muslim when faced with Cosmic Entities?

But muh Spidey & Wolvie bromance.

I want Beast in Avengers though.

She quirks at them until they leave.

I think he means when you tally up all of Marvel's IP half of it is X-Men and X-Men accessories.

Because the words of Mohammed are infallible so if something in the universe contradicts it, it's the universe that is wrong.

Maybe in the 90s, but it hasn't been the case in years

Dude, beside cosmis stuff (Shi'ar, Phalanx, Brood, and other shit), you have madripoor, Savage Land, Limbo, Tabula Rasa, demons like Adversary, N'Astirth, Sym, Belasco, N'Garai, The Stranger, an amount that would put Strange to shame, Arcade, Captain Britain / Excalibur, Alpha Flight

Not to mention crossover stuff, like Power Pack, which is not an x-book, but very frequently crossovered with x-verse

People have like forced themselves to forget how fucking huge the X-Men were

And I don't want Beast in avengers.
And frankly, so far it will be my way.

You sure, just before AvX, there were like 12 x-books (in 2011) and thousands of minis. I copypasted it for you:
Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine, X-Men: Legacy,
Astonishing X-Men, X-Factor, Deadpool, Uncanny X-Force, New Mutants, X-Men Forever 2, Daken - Dark Wolverine, X-23, Namor - The First Mutant, Deadpool Corps, Deadpool Team-Up, Deadpool MAX, Generation Hope, Wolverine & The X-Men, X-Men, Ultimate X-Men,
Alpha Flight, Wolverine - The Best There Is, Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine, Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis, Avengers - X-Sanction, Age of X: Alpha, Age of X: Universe
Chaos War - Alpha Flight, Chaos War - X-Men
Cyclops, Deadpool Family, Deadpool Pulp, Fear Itself - Deadpool, Fear Itself - The Deep
Fear Itself - Uncanny X-Force, Fear Itself - Wolverine, Gambit & The Champions, Iceman & Angel, Magneto (Vol. 3), Marvel Girl, Marvel Universe vs Wolverine, Onslaught Unleashed
Storm + Gambit, Ultimate X, Wolverine & Deadpool - The Decoy, Wolverine & Hercules,
Wolverine & Jubilee, Wolverine & The Black Cat: Claws II, Wolverine: Carni Brawl, X-Men vs Vampires, X-Men: Prelude to Schism, X-Men: Regenesis, X-Men: Schism, X-Men: Smoke & Blood, X-Men: The High Hand, X-Men: To Serve and Protect, X-Men / Taco Bell, X-Men Evolutions

>Limbo, Tabula Rasa, demons like Adversary, N'Astirth, Sym, Belasco, N'Garai, The Stranger, an amount that would put Strange to shame, Arcade, Captain Britain / Excalibur, Alpha Flight
Aside from Captain britain (who isn't an X-Property and I'm doubtful that Fox has him) and Arcade, none of those things are big losses.
Marvel already has plenty of much more famous and interesting demons and evil entities, it doesn't need any of those guys. They don't put Dr. Strange to shame at all.
And The Stranger? Seriously?

They still kinda are. Ironically, New Avengers #9-10 lost to X-Men 92 according to the top 100 released recently. The only Avengers book that can compete with X-Men is ANAD, albeit it goes toe-to toe with EXM, which is the worst selling main x-book

>Marvel already has plenty of much more famous and interesting demons and evil entities
like who? Nightmare? D'Spayer? Mephisto? Blackheart? Don't make me laugh.
also, keep in mind that Fox also owns FF

it's funny, because shuma gorath bare appeared in Strange comic, which is weird considering how popular he was due to the game. Apparently, Strange doesn't have much to show beside Dorkmamu and Baron Mordor

Yes, Mephisto is much more interesting and famous than any X-Men demon will ever be. And so are Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, Chthon, Blackheart, Murduk Kurios, Son of Satan and several others.

*barely

Because that's what it originally was casual

lel, keep being delusional
when was the last time Shuma Gorath even appeared? Dormammu has the shittiest design possible, Chthon and Marduk are non-entities, and Blackheart is an emo, albeit he recently got bendises. Son of Satan is supposedly a hero, though

Allahu Akbar

Spoken like a true disneyshill, in case I had any doubts that you are shilling for disney

>also, keep in mind that Fox also owns FF
Yes, the FF properties are a huge loss to the MU.
Doctor Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Kang, Annihilus and countless other

I notice that you're avoiding mentioning Mephisto.
Shuma Gorath showed up just last month in Dr. Strange.
Dormammu's design is cool, fuck you, way better than N'Astirth.
Adversary, Belasco, N'Astirth and Sym are complete non-entities too, so you stop being delusional.

This images raises an interesting point, who has Cyttorak?

>when was the last time Shuma Gorath even appeared?
In the comics? He fought Luke Cage's little group and recently Strange is dealing with fallout from a group encountering him.

Seriously? Just because I think that the X-Men's supernatural villains aren't as famous (fact) and aren't as good as other Marvel demons?

How the hell does this timeline even work because Moira doesn't look 20 years older and she doesn't even have the excuse of being a mutant with slower aging.

Mephisto is kinda boring.
A walking cliche trope Satan-for-dime
That's why avoid mentioning him, because there's not much to mention.

>Shuma Gorath showed up just last month in Dr. Strange.
full appearance or a cameo?

>Dormammu's design is cool, fuck you,
No fuck you, a matchstick man in purple
N'Astirth at least looks menacing.
The rest appear mostly in x-books, which is fine by me.

I would argue that marvel demons suck overall

They gave her slight wrinkles and greyer hair. Just go with it.

>this weak bait
If you said pic related, I'd believe you.

Is that the same guy who ruined Deadpool in X-Men Origins and was adamantly fighting against the Deadpool film adaptation? What's his name?

Fair enough

I think Something Roth

he also was fucking up the FF movies iirc

Who cares about the timeline. Why do you want Rose Bryne to look old? She's hot

>The rest appear mostly in x-books, which is fine by me.
When was the last time they showed up though? Despite Magyk's increase in importance she hasn't faced any of them in years, the only demon she faced in Bendis' run was Dormammu, and now that the X-Men are in Limbo they just fight generic mindless demons.

he is currently working for sony

Good question. Not much demons recently. I wish that Belasco would return.

>Taco bell/ x-men

wut

FOX, he comes with the Juggernaut BITCH

Probably this.
>An untitled story featuring Kitty Pryde receiving training in the Danger Room after complaining about not being allowed to go on missions with the more experienced team members.

genociding the brood and assorted skrulls in glorious 1080p

yeah, somehow creating free giveaways wasn't a no no in 2011, but is in 2016
it's kinda funny that as far as 2012, marvel wasn't afraid of big numbers either, hence Captain America and JiM being published with #600 numbers rather than #1

all things done much better by x-men and FF. anything else?

Oh for a second I tought it had something to with a villain attacking a taco bell and the x-men were responding to the attack.

orbital hulkball special?

Yeah, that would be awesome, just like that KFC special by DC

topkek.

If he wants them to go to space, why did he make Christopher Summers a normal guy and not Corsair.

Because hack, that's why.

I kind of find it amusing that the X-Men movies sort of now have a sliding timescale like the comics where Scott Summers and Alex Summers are youngish brothers in the 1980's and Alex was an adult in the 1960's.

Say what you will about Carol, she got a decent aim.

That is cultural apropiation of mutant culture

Alex was a teenager in the 1960's. At about 16 years old.

He'd be 36 years old by the 80's.
