I really don't want to believe that Bojack was actually gonna take advantage of Penny but then again you look at what happened prior in the episode like giving alcohol to minors to the point of alcohol poisoning then telling them to lie to the hospital and finally asking her mom to run away with him and leave behind her family

Would Bojack really cross the line of wanting to bang her daughter?

Yes, he actually did

Or maybe she was just coming on to him and he rejected her
They might elaborate on this next season

Penny was taking advantage of Bojack.

Third Season When?

>Would Bojack really cross the line of wanting to bang her daughter?

probably, yeah

tried to do the right thing and fucked it up in the end anyway, which is par for the course

No, the creator himself said it was exactly what it looked like. They felt that not pushing it there would've been cowardly.

Penny knew what she wanted. I would've jumped her bones the second she told me that.

source?

Very much this. He probably wouldn't admit to himself that the whole date was him seducing her in place of the mom, but he'd say no maybe twice before caving in and giving Penny the horse dong. Expecting anything else would be weird given his track record.

I do hope that's true,

This

Bojack likes to believe he's the good guy whilst making very little effort to be as such. A flimsy attempt to appear like he's taking the moral high ground is always good enough for him.

>Are there stories where the writers' room conversation becomes, "Is this maybe too far"?

>We were really precise with episode 11. There was a lot of talk of how unclothed the characters would be, what step in the process is [Charlotte] walking in on. So, yes, there are things that feel like they're too far — but sometimes it's important to push yourself onto that ledge. When I first pitched the episode, it was that BoJack goes to New Mexico and gets involved with the family, and he sleeps with Charlotte. And as we were breaking the episode, someone had the idea of, what if it's the daughter? And at first we were all like, "No no no, we can't do that." But the more we thought about it, the more it made sense — and the more it was in our heads, and it felt almost cowardly not to go that far … I'm sure we lost people over that episode. But that's okay; it's not for everybody.

>Just a friendly reminder S3E11 is coming...

Only Bojack fans feel asshole clenching dread at the number 11...

I understand why they had to go there.

A lot of fans were under the false impression there was more to Bojack. I guess some stubborn notion that there has to be good in somebody somewhere? And because of this there was a lot of empathy for the character.

The creators certainly did not intend this or want this. -Bojack is an irredeemable piece of trash-. You are not supposed to like him. You are not supposed to be sympathetic for him. If you can't see this then you are getting it all wrong. So the writers put this in there as a blunt slap upside the face.

His heart isn't just going to 'grow three sizes' in some episode after he finds the true meaning of Christmas. He's on a downward spiral and its going to get less and less and less appetizing.

This why I think season 3 is gonna take no prisoners. Because you see in this thread:

>"She forced herself on him!"
>"This isn't what it looked like!"
>"There's more to it!"

No, there isn't more to it. So these hangers on are gonna need another Friendly Reminder.

When is season 3 coming out anyways? June?

bojack wanted to fug. you guys are retarded if you think it was something else.

Are you saying you wouldn't have?
She is pretty hot.

Except there isn't really anything wrong with Bojack having sex with her. There didn't seem to be any miscommunication about it meaning more than it did, so what's the issue?

^this

penny knew exactly what she was doing and wanted to do whatever it took to get a taste of that adult horsecock she keeps looking up on porn sites.

even if it meant blackmailing her mother's longtime friend into being her fucktoy or else she'll tell mom.

bojack dodged a bullet.

Isn't that usually the case though? You can make them the worst person in the world, but by making them a protagonist, people will try to find something they can latch onto and bond with that character.

The writers really should have seen that coming.

He shouldn't have been so thirsty, he should have just planted the idea of her going to California.
Jailbait pussy goes to him, master plan.

I still sympathize with him even though he's a piece of shit. What now, bitch?

See, most people this thing called impulse control. Especially when failing to suppress said impulses could lead to not just 'spilled spaghetti' but the spaghetti factory going into full meltdown. A Pasta Pripyat that will be uninhabitable for centuries. The kind of social fuck up that even the most retarded person knows not to make. So to avoid that you don't do that One Thing. You can fantasize about it but you don't really DO IT.

>Penny will never deep throat Bojack's huge cock

What a tragedy.

The writers of the show already announced that Bojack was going to go all the way with Penny because
>Bojack sees himself as a kid and not as an adult
Look it up

I have empathy for him because he is a horrible person on a downward spiral. Just like I am. I like to wonder whether there is a rock bottom that he'll eventually reach that will allow him to one day become a better person, or if the spiral just keeps swirling forever until he dies. Constantly being pulled down by the inertia of his bad decisions. Because I'd like to know whether there is hope for people like me.

>Would Bojack really cross the line of wanting to bang her daughter?
what's that? Bojack taking advantage of a girl who sees him as a father figure and who wants to sleep with him? No! He would never do that! Not even in a million years.

That was fairly obvious. I wonder if this whole 'backlash' is people just fucking with me or internet people really are that far up the creek with no paddle?

At least I can feel a little better about myself.

To be fair, that was early season one Bojack, who reveled in being a depraved narcissistic jackass. Sure, you can argue there's a negligible difference between that Bojack and late season two Bojack, but hey, baby steps.

>A lot of fans were under the false impression there was more to Bojack.
I mean, I still think there is; I actually think the whole point of each season is pointing to this.

The point of Season 1 is him learning that he actually hates himself and his life. You see him realizing his own self--hatred with the events leading up to his drug--binge ("No. You're fired"), and the immediate denial (once he realizes it) with him pleading to be called a good person ("Diane, I need you to tell me that I'm a good person."). By the end of the season, he's realized what an awful person he is, and how much he hates his life, and he doesn't deny it anymore ("Can you make it out to Blake? Thanks man, you're like, my hero!" "Really? Huh.").

In Season 2, he realizes he has to make actual fundamental change to fix it. It's easy to see it in Escape From L.A.. He runs away from LA to get away from himself, after realizing that doing the things he loves is only a temporary happiness ("Making Secretariat would make me happy… for a little while."). He tries to improve himself over the two months, and it actually makes it pretty clear that the change has overall been pretty good; the whole family loves him, but then he makes the Penny mistake and goes back to LA, having given up on improving himself through escape. The finale sees him rescuing Todd and *remembering* a good thing Todd did for him, and admitting that Todd is actually his friend, and that he deserves to be treated better. And then, in the final scene, he's doing something to improve himself physically (running), and is told that it gets easier by another runner. It's pretty obvious this is just a parallel to his mental and emotional state--by the END of Season 2, he's making STEPS to improve himself.

So, yeah. I think there actually IS more to Bojack, and he's definitely improving upon himself. I can't wait for Season 3.

Season 3 when?

Also, how hasnt this show brought upon furfaggotry on Sup Forums? Unless I missed that

There used to be a few furfags for princesspumpernickel (or whoever) but they all seemed to have died out.
Also, I remember a lot of people being gay for the dog.

According to this, they had finished the script, most recording, and a 'little bit' of animation by December 2015, so probably in a few months (before September, hopefully).

I think it's because the animals aren't meant to be sexy or fursonas or whatever it is furries tend to like, its more like the animals are there to help step away from humanity a tiny bit so that you can really see the character's personalities. Sometimes the animals are even a reflection of their character's personality, if you hadn't noticed. I think the animal thing is more symbolic and also for puns. Furries also seem to prefer characters with little personality, or a one track personality, maybe because it is easier to superimpose their own life on them.

Came out last year in the middle of July, with the premiere date being announced on May 21, 6 days from now. So we'll probably see the date within the next week or two.

I think they set up that parallel on purpose because even if he did end up breaking down (which I am not sold on him doing, but it can really go both ways), it showed him trying to hold himself high, but he did eventually break down. But with Sarah Lynn, as soon as the opportunity presented itself, he jumped on it. As everyone else has been saying, baby steps. And remember, the very description of the show says he isn't completely lost, since he has, at the very least, a 'heart of copper'.

Holy fuck I was always under the assumption that he rejected Penny after she tried to hit on him and he was caught at a bad moment but the fact that he was actually gonna do it with her make him seem like an nonredeemable piece of shit

Hopefully they'll elaborate on this more during the third season

Charlotte walking in when she did was the best thing to happen to Bojack.

She's legal stop being such a fucking baby.

> Drive to a hotel and bang barely legal horny virgin into oblivion

He subconsciously wanted to get caught.

>hotel

Watch the show. He's not that considerate. He was going to do it in a boat in her parents' driveway while her whole family was home.

/r9k/ pls
