Hey Sup Forums comic book sales for April are out.

Lets check out if our favorites comics are being cancelled.

comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2016/2016-04.html

Came out yesterday, actually, but non-Comichron.

>Omega Men finally dipped below #200

m-maybe it'll get a bump this month because of it being #12 and Rebirth is coming up

>Moon Knight
>60k

I'm anxious to see the drop in this.

Wonder what Black Panther #1's combined sales and theft numbers were.

>Black Panther is now literally more popular than Batman

It's a #1 user, followed by his appearance in a major motion picture. If he manages to stay even half that high come round 6 months, I'll be impressed.

Only that? No variants, no loot crate and whatnot?

Looks like he only had 6.

By that logic Gwenpool is now more popular than any female in the comic industry

Also
>inhumemes went from 59 to 69
>one of the inhumemes book is outside the best 100

>nigger ocelot at 250k

I don't want to live in a world where books about minorities sell well

>ASM below top 10
Suck it Slott. I don't think it will last, but it makes me happy anyway.

>Carnage 24,000
Good, good. Mostly keeping the numbers.

>Venom Space Knight below 18,000
Welp, cancelled at 12 I guess. Just when it was getting good.

Web Warriors even lower than that.

>Hellcat at 12,000
heh

I'm glad to see Spidey/Deadpool is doing great though.

Wait what Midnigther sold more than Batman...
mfw I'm angry that it's getting cancelled anyway

Hellcat stealth canceled when?

>diversity starts getting pushed
>people complain that no-one wants it
>books about minorities sell well
>people complain anyway

>all that gwen
>all that harley
>all that deadpool
I'm glad that memers are keeping the industry going but I hope they at least try to put out more decent shit

also
>marvel at nearly 50% of all sales
>DC about a quarter
damn, I didn't know marvel's domination was that bad, but then I can't remember the last DC title I bought

>Legends of Tomorrow that low
Anthologies are dead.

Eh, it's a #1 by a famous non-comics guy. We'll see how thing really are three months from now.

That would be Batman 50, which was from the previous month.

What? Midnighter sold 9k and Batman sold 101k.

Then you gotta commit suicide. It's the only option, my dude.

Just wait for the 70% drop on issue #7

Well anthologies with nobody people want to read on them are dead.

Shit meant #2

>Starbrand and Nightmask 5 5,653

Greg's lucky they gave him six issues.

I'm enjoying the Firestorm and Metamorpho portions of the book. Metal Men just isn't doing anything for me. I'm still undecided on Sugar and Spike.

>90 Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death

Well, I guess it's time for some Harley shilling

>monthly 'Highest Placing DC Comic without Batman' check
>Superman at #50

Thank God for based Rebirth

I'm honestly depressed that more than half of the top 10 cost over $4. This is mainstream now.

Is Black Panther part of one of those gift deals like Rocket Racoon and that Walking Dead comic that were #1 months ago?

DC gets to draw the line at 2.99 again because their biggest sellers will now cost you 5.98 a month to follow the story.

Shame, I'm honestly enjoying it.

well, HQ is pretty divergent from Batman. shes in in New York these days.

I still count her as part of the Bat line

>>Black Panther is now literally more popular than Batman
Keep in mind, these sales are for LCSes thinking about what they could sell and not actual purchases from customers. Shops are buying a lot of Black Panther #1s because they think they'll get a movie bump of impulse purchases. Ask them how many copies of Invincible Iron Man #1s they still have sitting in the stores unsold.

Let him shill, dude.

she's literally an equivalent of deadpool
she started as a villain in a very popular comic / cartoon of a popular character(s), and over the time she became so popular that she became a brand on her own.

nowadays, DP doesn't have much to do with X-Men, albeit he will always count as x-book

Damnit, still mad about this.

Same, only complaint is that the interior art is way worse than the cover art.
Also,
>draw a twink
>he's the straight one

come on, it was bad

Agreed, though I still kinda like the art.

Is he under the xmen editors office? I was under the impression the office only had the 3 team titles and the 2 walverine books

Only problems, story wise, I noticed were pacing related.

I'd blame that on the format, Weisman's the sort of author you need to say "You get 12 issues", "...6 issues", he does better when he knows what he's working with.

Shitty launch numbers with plummeting sales after probably sent him and his editor into overdrive, a lot got cut, and we're seeing the results.
