I like that he wants to limit businesses going oversees, which would damage companies using child labor over sees as well. Also it would help businesses stay within the country and to also stop using illegal immigration to fuel their businesses. I remember talking to a co-worker of my wife's, whose father own a small pizza shop. A $15 dollar minimum wage would put him out of business. He didn't say "lay off some people", he said "out of business".

In commiefornia, they are already having a hard time filling positions because they don't hire illegals. If minimum wage goes up, they can't compete to provide people with jobs.

The place wouldn't become unprofitable but would probably end up changing hands after being sold off at a discount. A rise in the minimum wage is bad for the current owners but good for employees and good for the overall economy in the end by increasing purchasing power and restructuring the economy.

Stock values are massively inflated by private bank credit, high stocks just means companies have to resort to external instead of financing out of internal profits since profitability is so low. Tanking the stock market would be great for the working class but you're right very bad for boomers who live off the interest and debt extraction.
