Does the fact they're still making new seasons count?
...
>all the early seasons with constant references to 30s/40s/50s pop culture
The one that makes fun of the promotion McDonalds did during one of the Olympics. Something like a free Big Mac for each gold medal America won. But the Soviet Union decided to boycott the Olympics that year, so America swept, causing McDonalds to lose millions
>I like those odds!
those weren't references, they were just straight stealing jokes.
>simpsins
Oldfags in theirs late 20s, early 30s plz go
my favourite episodes are when he meets that hot older brunette who spits on his hand and wears a cool jacket
and the one where homer becomes a boxer because his head is so fat with donut juice
It's still not dated for me mate.
I would consider a lot of it paying homage, not stealing. Stealing would be if they straight up took joke dialogue from old movies and used them as their own for the show.
>jokes that are dated outside of australia
you couldn't just use the existing graphics, you lazy bum?
> tfw don't understand 2/3rds of names dropped in the classic seasons in comedic context
...
the Lollapalooza one, it's a real time capsule
>Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins
>Homer Simpson, smiling politely
Never understood this joke.
How is that dated?
But that's a joke that will never be dated.
The idea of a school having a web site isn't really that hilarious anymore.
>Sup Forums is only for me and my teenage buddies
We aren't going anywhere and one day you'll understand when some little shit says something like this in a decade
Oh. I didn't even realize that was a joke. Probably the best example here.
Get the fuck outta here al jean you hack
It was supposed to convey - "haha look how advanced this place is, the school even has a website!". Such things are now common.
>There was nothing in Al Capones vault
>but it wasn't Geraldo's fault
>"Don't worry dad, we're the MTV generation"
what the fuck was that meant to mean
Then you're probably overthinking it.
man this thread feels dated.
>aww the Denver Broncos!
became dated, then un-dated
Just Google Al Capone and Gerald Rivera.
That still applies to milennials
...
The episode (King-Size Homer) where 300 pounds was considered an extreme weight.
Yeah we should really make more room for pickle rick and blacked threads
Simpson's really muddies the waters.
how is this dated
When was the last time you saw a feed & seed store?
Brothels are illegal in all states except Nevada which wasn't the case in the past obviously.
don't see it as a joke about what type of store it is
The joke holds up quite well without understanding the reference though
it's a pun. Chuck's Fuck and Suck
Winner. It's just like that Seinfeld gag where the audience laughed at Kramer owning a cell phone.
>opening a png on Sup Forums
