Astro City 35 storytime

'Cause I'm bored, and we never have a proper Astro City storytime here anymore.

Remember that story arc where the Jack-in-the-Box fights his sons from an alternate timeline, which makes him decide to pass down the mantle when his wife gets pregnant?

Also, cool to see Ross go full Ditko for a change.

This is mostly just exposition. Busiek hasn't covered this plotline in years.

Bump if you're reading this. Captchas are a bitch.

Best part of Astro City is it's been around so long, we get to see these changing of the guard type situations. Like you can imagine the dozens of Jack stories between the first and this one.

Sorry I had to crop the page. Kept saying I was posting a duplicate.

Yeah. I was kinda miffed that Busiek was retreading such familiar ground, both with this and the Steeljack story, but if he finds new and inventive ways to keep the stories interesting I'm game.

Looking pretty Kick-Ass there, Ike.

Sorry. Duplicate alert again.

Almost done. This feels like it's taking forever.

no worries, still reading

What will happen to Jack-in-the-Box?

Who is the mysterious Drama Queen?

What will Ike's major be?

Tune in in one month.

Thanks OP

The letters page, if anyone's interested. I was considering writing to him to see if he plans all of these storylines beforehand, but I didn't feel like it.

And a preview for Paul Dini's next graphic novel, an autobiography of the time he got mugged and got his face beat in.

Later.

How do you turn toy designs into weapons?
