>*violin plays loudly*

The actress who plays Jill has no range whatsoever, she's worst than MEW.

Probably the worst show hbo has ever made and yes that includes girls

every time it hits you know you're in for some kino

youtube.com/watch?v=pq3rse6e3fE

Whenever it plays I imagine the lyrics are just "kino" over and over again to the melody they are playing. Just try it.

THIS FUCKING SCENE

pleb

lindelof

...

I personally just say "this is kino" quietly over and over as long as it plays

You already have been.

Nice. I have a special hat that I wear for kino scenes.

>season 1 matt episode he goes to the casino
>season 2 matt episode he goes to the degenerate camps outside of jarden
>season 3 matt episode he goes to the orgy boat
like poetry

>dude the christian gets something he needs from a den of sin and its a mixed blessing

so dep

worth less than the material it is composed of

>its a kevin watches nyan cat for 50 minutes episode

More like
>Christian man sets off chain of events that destroys two false idols

I love Matt.

>That's that guy I was telling you about
I literally exuberated.

;__;

fuck you, I forget about that episode. That was fucking horrible

I did not like this show when i watched the first season. Then season 2 came around and I said nothing. I was told to give it another shot by my brother and I have watched 15 episodes in the last 3 days. This show takes all the best things about lost and focuses them in an incredible way. There is nothing else like it on television and never will be again. We are truly blessed to be living in the book of Kevin friends.

Agreed

Truly the age of Jesuit TV

the best thing about lost was the idea they'd tie everything together into a compelling finale.

they've said ahead of time leftovers isn't even going to try to do that

Between this and Young Pope I've been reminded HBO can still put out good shit. dare I say...Kino?

Bump.
Cant believe Theroux didnt even get a fucking nomination for Season 2.
Cant believe more people arent watching this show.
Cant believe its going to end already.
Cant believe how theres easily no other show like it.
Enjoy it while it lasts kinobros.

bretty much

>tfw you're face to face with God himself and he talks shit right to your face

I think HBO didn't anticipate just how well received S2 and 3 will be received by the critics so they gave it a planned ending.

Otherwise they would've milked this for a bit longer.

I watched a part of the first episode when it was first aired and didn't really get into it. can I skip the first season and just watch the "good" second season without missing anything?

fuck no. The first season starts a little dry but the latter half is just as good as the rest of the show.

*ill fitting shitty indie music takes over the scene

does this show get good? i watched most of season one and it just seemed sort of bad with bad acting writing etc

legit question

The idea is good
[The execution though, it's fucking terrible

No, I'm on season 3 and it's the same shit

Show has the worst music consultants

The violin is the official announcement that kino is incoming
youtu.be/nqArJAc7j4Q

Jury is still out. All depends on the ending. So far, they are shitting the bed in the final season. They have a lot of making up to do in 3 episodes.

The premise for this show is so painfully boring I still havent watched it past the 1st episode.

2% of the population vanishes so big whoop

If this is how you watch shows, you should end your life.

Go back to capeshit, faggot.

the show has a lot of ~kino~ moments in that the dramatic music starts playing and someone starts crying. sometimes it misses its mark, but the times when the show achieves its aim it's 11/10 kinography

I watched a little into the first season but I was too distracted by the premise (2% of the population fucking disappearing) to really care about the characters considering it takes place about two years after the disappearance. Considering AFAIK the disappearance is never explained I don't really see what the point of watching the show is.

DESU I would have found the show more interesting if they focused on the immediate aftermath of the disappearance.

who knows, maybe I'm just a dumb normie and don't know anything about kino TV

Oh no the religious implications of whatever the fuck
Lofty dialogue
Inadequacy of self worth
Its so mundane
I watched This is the End and had a better time

it's not, just couldn't like any of the characters in it. had the same problem with walking dead and never went back.

Yeah Justin Theroux is great in this. I didn't even like him before watching this.

the vessel is the same idea executed without all the lindelof bullshit

When the violin or piano starts playing, there's a good chance you're going to witness kino.

You just outed yourself as a turbo pleb. How's it feel?

I feel like I didnt waste 76 hours watching a trite melodrama focusing on the aftermath of an event that was literally less harmful than ever single viral epidemic you can think of

roger roger signal received captain, kino incoming. preparing all defenses for maximum kino

>violin or piano starts playing
>put on my kino glasses

THAT FUCKING FACE WHEN THIS SUNDAY IS A NEW EPISODE OF THE LEFTOVERS AT THE SAME TIME AS A NEW EPISODE OF TWIN PEAKS

You just keep making it worse for yourself. KEK

>2% of the earth's population randomly disappears without a trace
>Haha it's only 2%. That's not relevant at all
Kill yourself, retard. When a plague kills people, you know what happened to them. When they just fucking vanish for no reason whatsoever it's a bit more significant.

The book only skipped 18 months, which was a reasonable amount of time.

The series skips 3 years in the first episode and by the third season seven goddamn years have passed and people still have their asses in the air over something that can't be marketed, explained, serves no narratives to keep the media pushing it.

you're right, in the wake of a death, no one ever asks why and aren't satisfied with the real answer.

If you think knowing why someone died makes it easier to deal with then you've never lost anyone.

>no awful viral epidemic
>no wave of bodies in their wake
>no (presumably) repeat of the event

Show makes it a big fucking deal when it isnt. Who the fuck would bat an eye if 1 person in the next town over disappeared.

oh angelo

I haven't watched this yet. I have a friend that tells me I really should. Is it worth the time commitment? I've heard they're doing another season to continue the story.

That has literally nothing to do with the conversation

A lot of people will overrate this show and proclaim how good season 2 or 3 is, but it's honestly the same empty melodramatic crap over and over again strung together by equally awful writing and heavy-handed Biblical allusions.

The latest episodes of season 3 probably exemplify this best: perpetually-grieving characters reacting to the latest random, pointless or supernatural events in the most logically-bewildering way possible.

It can be intriguing and even "kino" at times, but that can only mask how bad the whole show is for a little bit. Unless you like getting baited by the bullshit of the week shit this show's writers (Lindelof, mainly) like to conjure up.

It wasn't 1 person who disappeared. It was millions, and no one knows why or where they went. And they didn't just not come home one day, they literally vanished in front of people. If you think that the reaction wouldn't be similar in real life to what it is in the show, you're fucking retarded.

Lindelof said he wanted to do four seasons at most and I guess after the second season he had already decided three would be enough.

jesus your still making these threads ?

>30 posters

lol. never change leftover thread making guy

Negro if 2% of the population vanished in an even distribution, more than half would be from asia and africa.

>oh fuck 70 million chinese and pajeets vanished!!

>... oh wait there's still a billion of them

>and people still have their asses in the air over something that can't be marketed, explained, serves no narratives to keep the media pushing it

Gee... It's almost like it's the whole point of the show

Its damon lindelof

His career is over and hes been laughed off all other social media

he might go back to being the balkifag once leftovers ends though. That'd be funny to watch.

After 3 years who cares. Shock eventually wears off and its business as usual. Millions die to disease over the course of human history its practically the same shit only instead of protracted and gruesome its just poof so, so what?

Notwithstanding the incredulous premise what person would want to watch something set around a concept so boring. Were you fascinated by Contact too?

I really don't know how dumb one would have to be to not comprehend that millions of people vanishing into thin air would be a big deal. If you honestly think that people wouldn't be freaking the fuck out and expecting the end of the world after something happening, you're an idiot.

>the point of the show is people are still upset about something that most would have gotten over by then because the writing is forcing that state

...

Because it's unexplainable, because it's the proof that supernatural is real which validates all of the religious believes thus completely changing the game

people freak the fuck out and expect the end of the world over fucking jesus on goddamn toast.

It was 2% from each country. The amount of people who vanished in one day is greater than the amount of people who have died in any war in the 20th century.

6.42m-ish people would have vanished from the United States alone. 1,076,245 died in World War 2. 2,852,901 have died in every single war from 1775 to now.

Stop posting, because you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

>Shock eventually wears off and it's business as usual
No, that simply wouldn't be the case. It's unexplainable by science, and validates what certain religions have said, while at the same time not following along with what those religions say. Nobody would know what to believe, why it happened, or what to expect next. Just like in the show. And you keep bringing up the millions dying nonsense as though it has some sort of relevance. It's not just the scale that matters, it's the fact that the event is literally unexplainable by science or anything else.

Yeah that guy is dumb. Literal MIRACLE happens in front of the entire world, not a big deal at all, meanwhile in the real world millions of people are still obsessed about the guy who maybe was it maybe wasn't miraculous 2000 years ago

No, some sort of supernatural act clearly organized by a conscious entity would validate religion.

A completely random set of 140 million people vanishing is not something that is clearly organized by a conscious entity.

It's okay.

... you realize 2% of 7 billion is 140 million, right?

Or can leftovers fans not even into basic math?

>9/11 was 16 years ago, get over it!
Suck my dick.

Golly I sure hope you aren't one of the retards trying to claim 140 million people vanishing for no reason can't be compared to historical deaths.

Not sure if baiting or actually retarded

These are correct. This fucking idiot can't comprehend how people would still care about 140 million people randomly vanishing off the face of the planet after 3 years, meanwhile people still care about 9/11 16 years after the fact. They still worship Christ/Mohammed/whoever else hundreds/thousands of years after they supposedly walked earth, and they couldn't even see them with their own eyes. You have to be legit retarded to think that people would just stop caring about people literally disappearing in front of them after only 3 years.

>According to Matthew White’s estimate on the page Worldwide Statistics of Casualties, Massacres, Disasters and Atrocities., a total of about 123 million people died in all wars of the 20th Century, thereof 37 million military deaths, 27 million collateral civilian deaths, 41 million victims of "democide" (genocide and other mass murder) and 18 million victims of non-democidal famine.

Note that I was speaking specifically about the US in my example, but there you go.

That's exactly what I'm comparing it to. That's almost six and a half million people gone in one day from just one country. Vanished into thin air. The people that are trying to downplay what that would do to the world are very, very stupid. Even if it were just isolated to one country's population, it wouldn't be something to hem and haw over.

I sarcastically compared it to how people should have just gotten over 9/11, an event where only 3,000 people died in a way that was far easier to explain. An event which still, to this day, has serious repercussions on how America operates.

>poster count doesn't go up
>clearly replying to himself

... so we we can actually compare real, explainable, and/or religious events to 140 million people vanishing for no reason? Why'd you flip on this? Is it because you don't understand people had very specific motivations for continuing to push narratives surrounding said historical events? And the only narratives that could be pushed surrounding the event of the leftovers would be from charlatans?

The post count did go up. There was 33 before, and after I posted there was 34. Idiot. Your post is literally not an argument. I don't even know what you're trying to prove at this point now that you've been btfo.

>His career is over
>Season 3 has had glowing reviews so far 98% on rotten tomatoes, pretty much all critics love it
really makes me think....

>just ignore my 2% from each country would somehow not equal 2% of the population of the world thus my failed attempt to refute the idea the vast majority of vanishings would be in shitholes like china, india, africa.

... you're hilarious.

Plenty of shit used to be explainable by science and still is. People would eventually just move on.

>the best thing about lost was the idea they'd tie everything together into a compelling finale.
lol

Yea, people are beating down his door to buy his scripts. Just look at all the work he has lined up over leftovers!

Are you being sarcastic? Don't reply to me again unless your contributing to the thread, faggot.

Are you shitposting, or are you actually retarded? You seem to think that it matters where the people are disappearing from. It doesn't.

Its cute how you aren't even bothering to read posts because of how butthurt you are over someone criticizing the central premise of the "KEVIN IS THE IMMORTAL CHOSEN ONE SHOW"

I mean, even the show has forgotten how it started off operating under the pretense of being a character drama in the wake of a completely unexplainable event.

Oh, so you'd give a fuck if 70 million or so indians, chinese, and africans vanished into thin air?

I read your post, it just literally didn't have anything of value in it. You seem to think that you are putting up good arguments, but you're just saying stupid shit to get responses.

Oh so now we're acting like no one benefited from keeping things like 9/11 in the media for 16 years? Or making a HUGE deal out of pearl harbor? Or nagasaki and hiroshima?

Whereas the fact around 1% of the earth's population died in a single war is a glorified footnote in history?

That's really swell.

It has an 8.1/10 on imdb. If you know how ratings for series work on there, that is more than enough to realize the show is not "great". I'd personally give it a 6/10.

this

I never said the vanishings from whatever country wouldn't matter based on a majority. I showed a comparison of the amount of people that vanished in ONE country (the United States) versus every war in the 20th century. All of those people vanished in one day. If you're implying that's insignificant just because a lot more brown people vanished, you're just being retarded for sport.

I also think a lot of people would care if 2% of India, China, or Africa's populations vanished, yes. Because there's no discrimination on who vanished. It could have been politicians, it could have been farmers Making this a weird racial issue is just making you sound like a dipshit.

By your logic, Game of Thrones is the best show on television, then?

The point that keeps going over your head is no one can really benefit from acting like that's a huge deal.
