>tries to play the curveball and pair up Widow and Hulk
>despite the fact that he set up for Widow/Hawkeye in the first movie and he was planning on doing that

>oh no I can't have people expecting things I gotta surprise them I gotta do something CUHRAZY

It was just dumb of Whedon to set up her and Hawkeye, only to abandon it because he wanted to be lol so random.

I'm like 80% sure there isn't a single person who likes this or even remembers it

I want relationship like this.

I like Hawkeye and Widow being platonic

Probably remembered more for the gif than the movie.

I didn't understand why Widow could calm him down or where it came from. And it'll surely be ignored in Infinity War, so we'll never know.

yea. same.
spy-bros are cool.

plus it gets rid of some of the creepiness that the comics have where Nat is literally everyone's love interest at one point in time.

I didn't mind it, it would've been better if for some reason they didn't skip straight from flirting to how they can't have kids. Like, I get Nat being sterilized by the Red Room, but they brought it up in such an awkward way.

I like the idea. I think a proper writer could've make it work. Whedon is not a proper writer, though.

It was really bad
no hint on it in the first avenger
she had a thing for hawkeye but completely ignore it in age of ultron
it felt like it was just dropped on your lap

Am I the only one who is slightly frustrated that characters, in what feels like any medium, can't demonstrate closeness to one another without it being seen as romantic by the general public?

Like, Black Widow can't be concerned for her friend and brother-in-arms (for an agent) who has been taken hostage by an Asgardian god and hypnotized into doing his bidding or worried when he gets hurt without it being seen as "proof of romance"?

I wouldn't mind it if Whedon actually took the time for the relationship to develop. The fact that he married off Clint so that he couldn't interfere kinda makes his own point about men and women being friends moot though, the dumbass.

Why? Whats wrong with two partners falling in love? Ill take that over le nerd gets le hot girl anytime.

Go home Whedon. Your ship is shit.

SHIPPING

NOT EVEN ONCE

Seriously though, it annoys the hell out of me. The same people who complain about comic books being juvenile male power fantasies are the ones who indulge in juvenile romantic fantasies.

Unbelievably retarded.
Hulk and Bruce have pined for Betty for years, they barely know Natasha.

Somebody just post the gif already and
buttfuck her in the pussy

I actually liked that Hawkeye already has a family and is sort of the "Team Dad".

At least it made himinteresting as opposed to Avengers 1 where he was just sort of "there".

But yeah HulkxBW was cringeworthy as fuck.

>Whats wrong with two partners falling in love?
Nothing, but it seems like if two people even touch each other in a film, it's canon the director wants them to get together.

I'm thinking back specifically to Poe and Finn's interactions and Star Wars despite Finn clearly showing interest in Rey.

There was never anything between hawk and widow. That's just you 'shipping'

There isn't anything wrong it but it wouldn't have added shit and Daddyhawk actually gives Hawkeye some characters.

Also literally no one is saying Banner/Natasha isn't shit, because it is, we're just saying Clintasha is too.

>Whats wrong with two partners falling in love?
No one said there was anything wrong with it. Just that it was wrong for it to be the ONLY relationship that exists. They're asking for realistic variety.

>le nerd gets le hot girl
Why on earth are you talking like that? Please stop.

But it makes sense with Clint and Natasha. They were together for a while and hell when Natasha was captured no one BUT Clint was worried about her. Not even Bruce. It just boggles my mind that Whedon felt the need to make a cliche sound better than what he did.

You can still be Daddyhawk without kids. What he did with Wanda, recruiting Scott.

I didn't give a shit about it one way or another. Romance in an Avengers movie dosent really fit at all in my opinion.

>Poe and Finn's interactions
I want more gay romance for the same reason I want more platonic relationships. We don't get enough of them because of all the straight love there is. There are way fewer gay relationships in SW than there are friendships so I would love for Poe and Finn to get together.

>Finn clearly showing interest in Rey
You're right there. Finn is either straight or bi, but I hope it's the latter.

It's kinda fucked up that Widow was originally supposed to be with Clint but Joss decided to throw it out he window by retconing Clint into a family man and Widow wanting to fug Hulk.
Does anyone even remember Betty Ross or is Marvels still trying to forget that movie?
Incredible Hulk is still better than the Thor movies

Once I got the idea that Widow was just seducing Banner so she could control the Hulk, It didn't bother me so much. But initially it just seemed out of nowhere.

youtube.com/watch?v=-S00eJ-DGZE

I don't mind Widow x Hawkeye getting trashed, Hawkeye being a family man was much more interesting than that would ever be.
Doesn't mean I want Hulk and Widow, though. Fuck that was awful and out of nowhere.

That was my thought before I saw the movie, but then her behavior seemed genuine so I don't know.

it was so out of nowhere that it became super cringe and weird.

the only good thing to come out of that was buttfucking her right in the pussy

The whole scene in Hawkeye's house made it seem like it was more than that.

I like that idea too and it fits comic Nat, but the problem is we could NEVER have that in cinematic Nat because everyone would cry sexist that one of the few women characters uses her feminine charm to seduce characters. Even though real women spies often use that as a real strategy because it fucking works.

Has she even talked to Banner in the comics? I know her biggest relationahips were with Bucky Matt and Clint but hulkwidow isnt canon right?

she saw the hulk's cock between avengers and age of ultron and couldn't pass it up.

Even if they do end up going the obvious route and pairing up Finn and Rey, I hope they still hook Poe up with a guy. Played by, I dunno, Michael B. Jordan, why not.

I think she's got years of deep cover/seduction training. Tthem at the farm house with the we're both freaks things is the best example. Widow kind of changes from movie to movie but nothing has ever shown she's the kind of person to just spontaneously open up. I know Whedon didn't intend it but it seems like a really obvious I'm losing my mark, let me play the I'm damaged too card and get him back on the hook.

You look at Russo Widow She's conniving as fuck. With Steve on the ship in WS and Tony during CW. Even with Loki and those russian mob assholes in Avengers she manipulates people very well.

I think that's a reasonable way to look at it, but I really wish the movie had let us in on the secret. I feel like forcing us to debate whether or not that's what she was doing is no better than having the romance played straight.

"Suns getting real low"

"Whats a girl like you doing in a place like this?"
"Man did me wrong"

God I hate Whedons writing

Thats awful

...

I liked it
the monster and the beauty
pls no bully

>A Joss Whedon turd

>cringeworthy

pls go

obligatory

I love this ship and no, it's not Cringy at all.
>>despite the fact that he set up for Widow/Hawkeye in the first movie and he was planning on doing that
Wrong; her discussion with Loki actually establish their relationship is not based on love, but more on respect and duty.

BIG

I do.

I love it.

I beat you read YA books

I thought it was a terrible idea, but it was somehow executed better than I expected (granted my expectations were rock bottom).

Still shouldn't have happened.

This relationship barely made any sense. It was not needed at all.

And yet all would work if said by Nathan fillion

He was planning ClintNatasha. Dont deny it. Everytime we have one of those MARVEL MOVIES THAT HAD DELETED PARTS threads this is one that was in Winter Soldier and Avengers.

I think the movie did, or at least tried to play it straight, everything I said before is just my mind trying to make it palatable.

Not really. No romance between the two shown.

...

Must be why black widow was wearing an arrow necklace in winter soldier.

I kind of liked shitty loser Hawkeye from the comics, although I can see why having a team "dad" was important.

"I think that may have been my little nod to Mr. Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye. I guess you could interpret it in different ways but we thought it would be nice to have something that was a little bit personal for the Widow. You kind of forget, because she’s such a badass, you kind of forget that she’s still a woman and that she has her interpersonal relationships in life outside of work.”

Like fuck you Whedon for ruining it.

We need more GREENED.

>no good Widowhulk porn
No fair

This one?

>Implying he wasn't sorta loser before 2 days of Ultron based Russos

He wants AWW COFFEE Clint.

It was awful and added nothing of actual substance to the movie. It also makes Natasha worse since she's now the town bycicle of shipping. First hawkeye, then Cap, then Hulk, then Cap again, seriously they should talked out what they wanted out of her ahead of time and stuck with it. Her moving to a new love interest every movie is frustrating because it's like she can't have platonic relationships.

Complete slut

Cap again?

She had more chemistry with every other character but Thor leading up to this movie, and wasting Ruffalo's talent on a stupid romance arc was a huge mistake.

Chemistry with Ruffalo? I didnt see it.

>pelvis broken, femur dislocated, ribs shattered, womb, bladder pulverized

Among others

I meant the opposite of what you thought, phone posts fuck with my grammar

>set up for Widow/Hawkeye in the first movie
que?

There was setup. Dont deny it.

>Whedon sets up the commanding, sexy female character with a tender shy nerd

Oh gee, I wonder why.

He meant that almost every other avenger (besides thor) had better chemistry with BW than Banner.

Going into the movie, I thought it had potential, and there's a couple of moments in the movie that I kinda liked (mostly coming from Ruffalo, it's clear ScarJo was phoning it in).

But goddamn it, it was badly done.

I forgive a lot of Whedon, but this was a missstep.

As much as I'm bothered by how poorly handled Hulk/Widow was, I'll always appreciate HawkDad.

That he's the Hawk we're getting going forward onto CW and beyond is great.

Because Fillion has a suave rustic cowboy charm and isn't an awkward boring scientist.

no there was something you tard

>You can still be Daddyhawk without kids

Please leave.

Come watch Civil War with us

It wasn't directed by Whedon!

swimelodeon.com

Its true.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't an actual thing, the impression that I git from their 'relationship' is that Widow is Hulk's handler, and is using the idea of being a possible lover as a means to control him.

Why do people believe anything Widow says? She a professional liar

...

What is the source on that?

The concept of the ship has potential. That idea of Black Widow falling for someone that doesn't want to fight because he'd win does work for her. Banner doesn't really have a reason to fall for Black Widow in the MCU.

All that being said, the final execution was awful.

Russos are retconning it for the true OTP

At least Ruffalo got to stick his face in her tits

This is what I thought was happening. She was so afraid of him in the first movie, then this came out of nowhere.

yfw a porno six years ago predicted it

Thats why she's going to get the super soldier serum for the next movie.

Hulk Dicking.

Im fine with this

It was actually a pretty popular ship for a while. It wasn't until it happened canonically that people started hating it for some reason.

the ship itself is fine, it just was so goddamn awkward and badly handled it became cringeworthy on screen

Tony/Bruce and Tony/Cap are popular ships, too. But if you started doing them in the movie, holy shit, would it be a fucking mess and actually ruin the movies.

"We're still friends right?"
A friend of mine (where we were originally friends of friends) asked me this after our original connections were having a falling out.
Platonic heterosexual life partners is chill as fuck

I'd rather Natasha just stays NTRed by Mrs. hawkeye

>"Whats a girl like you doing in a place like this?"
>"Man did me wrong"

To be perfectly honest, this was a little bit cute. Just a little bit, as an old movie-type throwback

>she's now the town bycicle of shipping
