Will Thor FINALLY get a great movie? Will Hulk seem forced in this movie? How in the Hel will Hela walk around in that headdress?

>Will Thor FINALLY get a great movie?
Nope.

>No Portman
No Jane suddenly grabbing the hammer.

Shit already doomed

>Wanting Whor
She wanted out so let her stay out, though knowing our luck Miss MewMew is still in it.....

i liked thor 1 and the half of thor 2....

You forgot to mention it's being directed by this guy (Taika Waititi), who's only done fantastic work so far. I'm a bit wary about them intending for it to be very comedic though. I'd have liked for the Thor series to be more tragic like actual mythology but hey, whatever works after those last two shitfests.

Forgot my pic

Of course you did.

So wait, if they are introducing Hela, are they finally going to deal with the idea of the afterlife in the MCU? So far it either hasn't come up, or they've been dodging it.

Please tell me they're not just going to make Hela have an army of skeleton-like aliens or something.

Who really gives a shit about this franchise at this point.

Hela will probably be in possession of the soul stone and Thanos is supposed to appear as well. So we may be getting fallen Asgardians or something. I wonder if Thanos will ask Hela if she personally knows Death?

Hela will just be another name for "death".

>Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster
I'm glad they're including more of the Elders than just the Collector. But isn't the Hulk supposed to be in this movie? I'm surprised they didn't have the Champion for him to fight.

I hope Hela isnt the MCU equivalent of Lady Death

He's gonna fight thor in a fighting ring that GM is running.

>Because Hulk cant get a movie and needs to stay relevant, he's ultimately taking Beta Ray Bill's chance for a Thor team up
Honestly my biggest disappointment with this film. Although a Planet Hulk homage isnt too bad I suppose

Oh nit shigga! Could we actually get Thanos vs. the Champion in Infinity War Part 1?

So I know with Cap and Iron Man they're thinking about doing more, but this would have to be the last Thor movie, right? I mean where do you go after Ragnarok that's worth going? Asgard gets set up in the midwest and we have an entire movie about that after their cosmic "end of the world"? It would seem like a bit of an anticlimax.

>but this would have to be the last Thor movie, right?
We can only hope.

That would be a pretty big letdown after they teased the cosmic abstracts in the Morag temple scene. The filmmakers are all collaborating now, and I think Gunn cares bout getting those more strange, universal cosmic elements in there, so I don't think they're gonna get away with just making Death an Asgardian.

Well they still have Surtur, Mangogg, and Ulik to use if they ever decide for a 4th movie. But it is kind of weird to pick up after Ragnarok

Tfw no Thanos backstory if this happens

Im sure Lady Death will still be in the MCU. We might even get a scene in this movie where Thanos laughs at her pretending to be a goddess of death

It seems like they may actually be getting the stick out of their ass about Magic and general silliness finally.

If they don't go full retard and invoke Clarke's Third Law in Doctor Strange, we may see Death.

The Public accepted GotG and Antman.

Hela's not a death goddess, she's a ruler of the underworld. Those are two separate mythological roles.

Is Valkyrie replacing the black woman that got cut from the pool scene in Age of Ultron or was she also supposed to be Valkyrie?

Christ, I wish I had this much hope and naivete in general.

SKURGES LAST STAND HYPE

Oh, sweet, Mythology 101 child, the public doesn't care.

That was a Norn.

>Jeff Goldblum as Gamemaster
>Karl Urban as Judge Executioner
>Hela's bigass hat
>No Portman, little Earth

>>Hela's bigass hat
That she'll wear for 3 seconds when she makes her first appearance and then takes off to not wear for the rest of the movie.

Is Loki in this?

Is Thor in this?

The bubble will never burst they said

>When asked by The Wrap how he’s going to add more comedy to the film, he said, “Just fill it with jokes, I reckon.” The filmmaker, who released the vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows in 2014, continued, “I’ll take the second film and just add some jokes to that.”

>“Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi has a brilliant idea on how to make the upcoming Marvel sequel even funnier: Add more jokes.

>“I’ll take the second film and just add some jokes to that,” Waititi told TheWrap’s Jeff Sneider during an interview about his new film, “Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

They have to have some version of Thanos' backstory, right? I mean even Malekith got "He's a dark elf leader, and he wants to return the universe to the way it was when they ruled" and Ronan got "he's a Kree fanatic who wants to destroy Xandar because his empire signed a peace treaty with them, and he still wants them to suffer for opposing the Kree".

Thanos so far is just this purple guy who is thought to be very powerful, and wants the Stones for some reason. If they're doing two full movies, you have to explore that more.

>In October 2013, Feige stated that certain elements at the end of The Dark World hint at a direction for a possible third film, adding, "We definitely have a story we'd like to tell." As for Loki, Feige stated that the studio "certainly has ideas of where we would like that to go [with him, but] we have to see how this one does and then go from there."[165]

>In January 2014, Marvel announced that Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will write the screenplay for a third film, with Kevin Feige again producing.[166] On October 28, 2014, the film was given the title Thor: Ragnarok, as well as a release date of July 28, 2017.

>In February 2015, the film's release date was changed to November 3, 2017.[170] In June 2015, Feige revealed they were searching for a new director and that an announcement would be made toward the end of the summer.[171] As to why he was not returning, Taylor said, "The Marvel experience was particularly wrenching because I was sort of given absolute freedom while we were shooting, and then in [post-production] it turned into a different movie. So, that is something I hope never to repeat and don't wish upon anybody else."[172]

>In December 2015, Stephany Folsom was hired to work on the script.

So yes, got it.

fucking this, taika waititi is a genius

>Jeff Goldblum
THOR FINDS A WAY

>The scene were Goldblum defeats the Chitauri invasion using a 90s computer virus
I honestly dont know why that scene was cut

>everyone was assuming the soul stone would be "Hammer" or "Heimdall"
>It's Hela
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I just want Gameblum to have a scene where he's playing chess with Stan Lee.

...

Hopefully Skurge outshines Kurse in this movie

>tfw unironically want a Thor-Hulk buddy cop movie
I have no regrets.

I want him to say "X finds a way"

Childish namecalling aside, i do think it would be fun to see Female Thor. Maybe someone else will play Jane.

Maybe fucking goddamn Sif will pick up the fucking hammer

How about that?

would make more sense than Jane picking it
