If Superman gets his powers from the Sun, shouldn't his costume reveal as much skin as possible? That was always the logic behind Starfire's outfit.

he usually goes shirtless when he has to recharge, but yeah it should be all the time

Nerds don't get off to shirtless muscle men (well most don't), so they don't design Superman that way. Starfire, on the otherhand has always been fapbait.

Yeah

To be fair, Starfire also came to Earth in her teens instead of being raised here since infancy, so Clark not only has a headstart on absorbing solar radiation, but has been brought up with human values of modesty. Starfire's other excuse for her skimpy outfits is that Tamaranean culture is borderline-nudist. I can't find the page, but there's a moment in NTT where she's reunited with her brother on Tamaran, and he's even more naked than she is.

Has Starfire's brother shown up in anything recently? Him visiting Earth seems like an obvious plot for her ongoing, and having an orange Adonis running around would ensure that no one can complain about the book cuz Equal-Opportunity Cheesecake.

The sun shines through between the stitches in his spandex.

I don't remember seeing him since Pre-Flashpoint REBELS. For whatever reason King didn't use him in Omega Men.

No, the logic behind Starfire's costume was that she had zero shame about her body and came from a planet where everyone is a bisexual polyamorous porn star person so none of them had REASON to be ashamed.

Also, Tamaran was a tropical planet so t was hot as hell there.

When he's doing an emergency re-charge in the Fortress yeah, or at the Watchtower. In some of the pre-FP books, they even had Bruce with some solar panels or some such a the Bat Cave. But they also showed the scene where he flew Krypto up to the sun and he was in his own uniform.

It's essentially Isn't her on-going history with the Rebirth stuff? I thought Gotham Academy was ending as well, but I noticed it was finally in the solicits for the summers. But yeah, good points.

So should Doomsday fight him at night or does that matter?

>If Superman gets his powers from the Sun, shouldn't his costume reveal as much skin as possible?

No? Go read about how solar radiation actually works mungo.

Fucking go for it, I wouldn't mind. But does he keep the boots?

Concerned batman with actual some funny lines is best batman.
Also WW is a whore.

>Flash's face

No it doesn't matter he has years worth of energy already stored up

Yes?

Pretty sure WW and Superman were together at that point.

Maxima just wanted to schlick to that, it had no other purpose.

It used to be that Kryptonians weren't "solar-powered" so much as their powers were *activated* by a yellow sun. This was altered post-COIE to the "living solar battery" model, which is stupid, cos he should be running out of power almost anytime he's in darkness, like Birdman in *his* old cartoon.

Around 4:15.

>cos he should be running out of power almost anytime he's in darkness

That was a plot point in Final Night.

Anytime things get more refined or updated to fit a writer's tastes in regard to super heroes, that shit always gets more stupid.

It happened to Superman, it happened to Batman, it happened to Spider-Man, Wolverine, Wonder Woman. It always happens.

Wolvarine's claws were perfectly explained in Weapon-X because the Admantium was in a near-liquid state inside him due to his healing factor, Superman's laser eyes used to just be an extension of his X-Ray vision, Wonder Woman was actually interesting when she was clay made flesh, and Spider-Man seems to get more stupid and closer to a geek than a nerd every reiteration.

If he absorbs radiation as humans absorb UV-radiation he would absorb more of it by revealing more skin since that's a larger absorption area. Kind of like how you get more energy by having a larger area of solar panels.

Yeah, Supes stores so much energy that he has to be in the dark for a LOT longer for 12 hours to get weaker. But the sun was out for a long fuckin' time in Final Night.

>not installing a solar deck for your solar-powered team member
Why is the Justice League so cheap?

Waste of money. Unlike Apollo, Superman will not die when depleted of solar radiation.

He gets it from solar radiation not just sunlight, radiation penetrates most materials.

Would probably be fair enough. But with how entrenched Supes's classic costume is, good luck getting any real shifts to it to happen.

Supergirl currently needs one too.

why the fuck is it a whole deck as opposed to a room?

Why the fuck not, if you can afford it?

No, the logic behind Starfire's outfits is that she's from an exhibitionist alien culture.

Reminder that Superman in uncircumcised

>"your treat", said one of the richest men alive to a farmboy

dammit bruce

He needs to save where he can to afford Bat-Shark-Repellent Spray.

Bruce probably doesn't carry cash.

No billionaires carry cash on them.
In fact, no one publicly known to be wealthy as fuck (net worth ~500 million+) carries cash on them.

Could have sworn some versions have a wad in his belt just in case.

Only Americans think male genital mutilation is okay.

JRJR was a mistake

I mean, books like Conan and tarzan did quite well for a while

Bruce does, in case he needs to give money to that retard of Hal

Clark doesnt even need to eat, Bruce is letting him feel like a man, Superman isnt used to be powerless, is naked, feels weak as fuck, and bruce is telling him everything will be alright and at the same time giving him an small oportunity to feel "in power".

If anything it shows (once again) that clark is literally the only guy that Bruce see as a Friend, rather than an ally, son or father figure.

Yeah but both of those characters had character designs meant to make them look savage/primitive. That's the exact opposite of Superman.

Solar radiation still hits the earth even at night. He just isn't getting as much but long as it doesn't go on for days he is fine.

Now if you want someone who throws one punch and then blows his super load then go look at Apollo.

To be fair, half of Apollo's abilities has him wasting the solar energy he stored in blasts and flares.
