So how much did this guy change the political landscape and debate for the better?

So how much did this guy change the political landscape and debate for the better?

Serious question.

Seems like he got quite a lot of dems off their asses and caring about "issues" for once.

I never thought much of him until the past year, but seems like he's been a net positive since then.

well I would say that him being spectacularly sabotaged and having the nomination stolen from him by party elites definitely did a lot to advance the discussion of systemic political corruption

lel

>RNC and DNC still exist as the only two real parties

I would go with not at all.

He won't have made any change if Hillary wins.

If she blows it, they'll probably go with someone similar to him next try.

He legitimately had a lot of potential to actually get his platform heard, but at the last minute he threw it all away to endorse Hillary instead of just taking Jill Stein's offer to lead the green party

He could have been remembered but he was too annoyed at Trump and let that get in the way

he made it much worse

now a significant portion of the United States thinks socialism is a good idea

He made it easier for Trump to win so that's good.

Literally the biggest fraud in American political history

All he had to do was run independent or endorse a third part and BAM, we'd instantly have a third party in the national debates, and a third party that could actually win some states in the near future, and possibly win an election

But instead we're back to the two party system and Trump is our only hope to break the establishment

Lots of Americans thought positively about socialism/communism since before even the USSR reared it's head (ex.: John Reed). Americans are just more vocal about it since the Cold War came to an end.

At least people now know it's at least socialist. Later they can figure out the party platform is outright Leninist Communism.

It's only temporary. Once they get a job and start paying income tax, own a house and start paying property tax, buy something with their own money and pay sales tax, they won't love socialism anymore.

He made the liberals go even further left.

Good post.

He didn't change anything. Literally his entire platform was "Free Shit". American political discourse is no better for him having run for president.

Zero
Trump did way the fuck more. Even if Trump didn't win, Sanders would still have lost and would still be a footnote in history regardless.

He endured a Trump victory

I'd rather have him than this corrupt bitch hillary. I seriously hope she's in a plane that flies into the side of a mountain.

That's honestly a terrible argument if you're going to claim that the Democratic party doesn't have a huge platform which would be well utilised.

He wouldn't have become popular for the same reason people who hate Trump and Clinton laugh at me when I tell them to vote Johnson.

Despite being a cranky old socialist, he already is very popular... Did you not see any of his rallies and poll numbers? All the empty seats at the DNC after his delegates walked out yesterday?

Nobody will even care who he was after few months.

He betrayed himself and what he stand for by endorsing Clinton.

He is worthless.

That isn't the point. The point is that all those people would have scoffed at him had he run any other ticket than Democrat. That's the reality of the American political system. You can't call a binary a democracy.

What are you talking about? The Democratic party of 2016 clearly hardly represents what he was fighting for at all. His rabid fanbase would have followed him where ever he went.

And he would have killed himself with three bullets to the back of the head if he had he had lead his people from Egypt.

Yeah. As little as I like "el rato" Cruz, I have to give him respect for not endorsing Trump after all of the shit that went down between them.

Shillary was actively participating in a conspiracy to rig the election against Sanders and all he has to say "we must elect her". What a fucking pussy

Yes, but how did he gain that fanbase to begin with?

Gotta start somewhere nigga. Living here in Commiefornia, about twelve months ago a lot of my liberal friends were just like sure Hillary Clinton for president sounds like the natural flow of things why not. Now a lot of them are absolutely fucking tired of the two party system, and the incessant corruption going on in our politics. This old jew lit a fire in a lot of liberals asses, the question is if that fire will last four fucking years to the next election, or hell, even the midterms.

The absolute best outcome that can be hoped for is, regardless of if Trump or Clinton wins in the general election, it is by a cunts hair. And if Stein and Johnson accrue like 4-5 million votes apiece. That will be a major destabilizing force for both of the major parties, and may lead to some actual change that we fucking direly need.

Bernie Sanders is a man so powerful he was able to make $hillary reveal her true self before the general election in the public eye in an undeniable way. There are so many people who are upset with the way his campaign ended that for the first time in their fucking lives they're paying attention to things going around them and questioning the media and are actually feeling outrage after ignoring so many other obvious warning sings.

Trump will be elected in a landslide.

>He could have been remembered but he was too annoyed at Trump and let that get in the way
I suspect the DNC managed to dig up his hinky income tax records, and gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.

then you just have to weaponize the left's hate for israel and combine it with patriotism and religiousness, and you get national socialism
