Why did his FBI login still work after being AWOL for 25 years? Even if you just worked in retail I'm pretty sure your company website login would be shut down after the first week of bailing on your job.

STFU NONEXISTENT REEEEE

this normie butthurt lmao

This is the evidence. the reason it worked.

Lynch is a hack

I'm pretty sure Evil Coop is at least in part a parody of ridiculous crime drama characters, right down to the laptop thing.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Twin Peaks originally kind of parodied the style of the popular soap operas of the time, so why wouldn't a modern Twin Peaks do the same thing for current popular TV, which is all about brooding dramas and crime shows?

I'm pretty sure BOB is having a great time having a willing host for the first time in who knows how long. One he's able to occupy 24 hours per day.

Why did the casino guy give doppelcooper a bunch of free stuff. Casinos give free stuff to people who spend a lot and lose a lot and kick out anyone who wins too much. Coop spent like a maximum amount 8 dollars

He was trying to convince Cooper to stay. Comp a room, give him free food, offer hookers, etc so he'll stay at the hotel longer and then spend his winnings back at the slots or game tables and lose it back to the casino. The last thing a casino wants is for someone who just won a shit load of money to leave, so they offer free shit as a lure.

Good point

Same reason the download process looked like the source script running through the screen.

Dude BOB Coop looked depressed as fuck in literally every shot he was in

What did the midget tree mean by this?

FBI is public sector.
Dumb shitty civil servants, you can't expect the bureaucrats to do anything right.

A possible answer to the FBI log-in angle would be two-fold:

1. After possessing Cooper, Bob used the trauma of what happened at the end of season two to get the FBI to transfer him out of Twin Peaks and onto a new assignment.

As such, dirtbag Bob Cooper is still considered an FBI agent but is undercover. Except that he's truly gone rogue and the FBI has no fucking clue and think Bob Cooper is a deep cover Fed in the criminal underworld.

2. Bob Cooper didn't go AWOL until recently and has been covering his ass so the Feds still think he's on assignment wherever they posted him at.

Don't analyze Lynch, you just can't.

Why does he look like Tommy Wiseau?

OG Coop will from hence forth be referred to as Coop.

Bob Coop will from hence forth be referred to as Boop.

Dougie Coop will from hence forth be referred to as Doop.

Probably because BOB realizes that being free to be a murderous asshole isn't what it's cracked up to be for 25 years, especially since he's had to stay one step ahead of everyone constantly. My theory anyway. He probably is extremely miserable but doesn't know what else to do.

Albert told doppelcoop about other FBI agents on assignment, which led to him taking them out or stealing their logins. He only uses the ones belonging to agents he didn't murder of course.

Albert and Gordon made it clear he hasn't been with the FBI for a very long time now and just bailed on them years ago. And Denise is head of the FBI now so they would know if he were actually undercover. Him saying he was undercover came rightfully across to them as a psychopath telling a bad lie to try to get out of jail.

Bob is not human, he is supposed to be emotionless.

Evil Coop is basically playing 4000D chess to stay out of the Lodge

He had a while after escaping Twin Peaks to set up a backdoor to the FBI before his credentials expired, either through Albert or by mere virtue of being a rogue demon hellbent on power

It was a black lodge laptop. You can hack through the time and space. Just like in Interstellar.

Because ghost magic, now shut up!

That's the same organisation that gives Mulder his job back after 20 years of living as an anti-government hermit.

I'm pretty sure Cooper didn't have any login to begin with. The Internet barely existed 25 years ago, it was only availabe in some science labs.
I assume evil Cooper has developped some connections all these years. But I was more nervous about how he was using his laptop. You can tell David Lynch doesn't use Internet.

The whole way that computers are being dealt with either shows that Lynch has no idea how computers work or that he is making fun of the way they're used in TV.

>the internet barely existed 25 yrs ago

But the guy just won 30 jackpots in a row. Surely even the most hardened disbeliever in the supernatural must suspect something is not right and that it's probably best to get rid of the guy and cut your losses.

>Lucky 7s

HEEELLLLOOOooooOooOOOOO!

The vibe I got from the scene was that Bob was using his powers to make computer do what he wanted. There were some weird glitches and artifacts on laptop monitor while he was using it.

Not sure if that was what Lynch was going for though.

top kek

>Thicc Cheeks

I think BOB's momentum has just shriveled up over the span of 25 years, hence why he shows little to no fury in S3.

They keep you around while they figure out how you did it, Triple 7. Then it's into the basement and your head in a vice.

I'm down with this.

>Doop

Yeah I got this vibe a lot in the first two eps. Like when the chick opens the "scan fingerprint" software on her computer, with a big red "START" button and complete animations to find which finger is the middle one and which finger is the pinky. And the conversation between the conniving bitch and shaggy in prison ("I know you've been cheating!!! - you too!!!")... Really everything to do with the well-known-in-the-neighbourhood-cop-arrests-his-good-friend-the-school-principal plot is filled with subtle CSI tropes, top to bottom. But with fun touches, like the cop's flashlight strobing when inspecting the trunk.

How old do reckon BOB and the other Lodge spirits are?

Bad Coop writes literal gibberish in every text field and it works. The plot is poking fun at itself.

they exist outside time.

Now if only the laptop didn't have the Microsoft logo on it.

>another autist can't figure out that tv shows aren't always realistic

Are you the moron who read law statutes to try figure out was going to happen next in Better Call Saul?

So he spends his winnings there and loses it?

youtu.be/EIihUx0SSrs

The product placement is shameful. I'm still scarred from the Mercedes nearly bumping into the camera to shove its logo in my face.

Will Invitation to Love still be on the air? I need to know what happens to Chet.

it's not meant to make sense, it's parody. it drives the plot forward while at the same time having goofy, self-aware execution
same as james' song to donna and not-laura

>777

underrated

>Bob is not human, he is supposed to be emotionless.

Source: your ass

>go to a house last night
>new fancy house security system
>pass code is 1234#

you think bob is human?

Doop is just a little gold ball, though.

this desu

Anyone got a name of that spooky music that plays during Evil Coop's first scene when he's driving in the woods at night?

Hes miserable right now because his 25 years is up and he might have to go back to the lodge, there seems to be a bit of desperation there

Bob isnt human but I dont think hes emotionless

For example he shows extreme pride when he explains to the goon that he doesnt "need" anything, he wants

Hes like a concentration of negative emotions

That reminded me a bit of Tom Waits' contemporary music direction. Really weird but catchy.

I think it is a remix of American Woman that David Lynch did. I might be wrong though. Just remember seeing it in the credits.

Have you ever read the credits for any show or film before?

the show is bullshit, stop trying to understand it

Huh, weird.

you just need love

Why is Mr. C so DAMN COOL?

because it doesn't matter to anyone else but gay nerds

HEEEELLLOOoOoOOOoooOOOoo

he is in cahoots with phillip jeffries

Came here to post this.

you mean jeffries' dopple?

So did Boop already exist as far back as FWWM? Is that what Coop is chasing in the FBI office and the reason why Bowie says "who do you think that is"?

Are doppelgangers different from having Bob infect you?

he clearly used one with the 'cooper' in the username

Yes, but it seems like BOB can posses the dopples, since he seems to be chilling with Bad Coop at the end of season 2.

it's almost like a show that stays around for 25 years and loses motivation. Just characters going through the motions.

Is Mullet Coop just evil Coop or is it Bob?
Also, what the fuck is/was Dougie?

sauce?
Who is this woman? Sauce besides s3e3.

>. You can tell David Lynch doesn't use Internet.
Sorry to break your bubble my dear underaged friend but Lynch has been using internet for personal art projects since the late nineties. This is a stylistic choice, a parody. CSI's IT shit is as much retarded to say the least.

The Lure him back in explanation is fine, but Cooper, being the strange voyager that he is currently, was literally walking out of the Casino leaving his winnings behind.

supplied screenshot as partial evidence.

yeah, he turned five dollars into 20 quarters. He won twenty times I think, I don't remember if the old lady's 2 jackpots were included with Cooper's.

damn those 7777

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO

youtube.com/watch?v=wie8uPgQOYE

Don't know if you guys respect David Foster Wallace, here is a short clip of him talking about David Lynch, it might help make the surreal closer to firm earth...idk

what the helloooo is going on???

Isn't Boop basically a copy of Cooper's body (or his original, who knows) with BOB in it?

I'm having troubles understanding if these doppelgangers are actual "persons" or if they're just husks, body doubles to be used by the lodge spirits.

From a guy who hates product placement no less. Like I didn't know why the camera was centered on the merc badge, I thought it was going to some a number plate or some unique identifying feature for later. But nope it's just a merc he puts in storage. Then the fucking surface laptop. In a 25 year old FBI case-laptop, I honestly had no clue how to take that entire scene. Certainly it's out of date/traceable but how'd he move the fucking software to a surface.

Parody can only go so far until it's stupid when mixed with a serious plot.

this old lady represents all the old tp actors who are still looking for their fortunes to be made. coop is lynch, using his intuition to direct them to jackpots but he doesn't really care about the money. casino = hollywood

He just types a bunch of random letters and numbers in every field.

It's either some of his black lodge voodoo, or a parody of modern crime dramas, or both.

was matthew lillard 40 when Scream came out?

late 20s but he looked younger.

I was surprised by how old the guy looked in this show, I thought he was in his late 40s at best but he looks 60, that sucks for him.

Dougie was a copy that BOB made with the intention of it going back to the lodge instead of him

Is there any kind of precedent in the twin peaks canon (which I think also includes Lost Highway) that explains Dougie's existence?

Is it safe to assume he was created by BOB to escape from the lodge?

its not coopers original login jesusssss christ you guys are retarded

NICE AND WET

>uses a surface pro instead of a thinkpad

Evil Coop is not Bob's host they're separate beings. It hasn't been confirmed yet but I'm fairly certain that Bill Hastings is Bob's new host.
