There are people who unironically defend this crime against good taste

>there are people who unironically defend this crime against good taste

Cartoons as a medium are dead, as far as I'm concerned. After Korra, I'll never be exited for another one, for as long as I live.

Well, i guess you dont need to browse Sup Forums every fucking day anymore, then. Bye.

...

Your loss.

ATLA was so good that certain "people" knew that they could use it as a vessel to promote degeneracy of all stripes. Thus, Korra.

>implying girls loving girls isn't the purest form of affection

It doesn't matter when they're boring together.

Hey, as long as they're hot, who cares?

...

Lesbianism is like two squares bumping into each other, or mist and cobwebs. It's a sterile and meaningless thing. A nothing.

And that's what makes it great. It's passion without any kind of agenda.

>liking Failure

this meme

I don't really see how that's different from a girl and a guy or two guys.

Also, of the reasons I was never really impressed with Korrasami from a progressive standpoint is the fact that lesbians aren't a daring jump for any writer or storyteller. Everybody loves them. Women love them because they see it as a passionate love that doesn't need a man to be meaningful, and men love them because 1+1=2. You literally CANNOT go wrong no matter what you do.

I'd be a lot more impressed if Bryke had actually tackled a homosexual male romance. It's almost NEVER done, and when it is done, it's usually played for laughs. Lesbians can fuck off at this point, for all I care; they've literally become a cry for attention in lieu of meaningful content in modern western storytelling.

>passion

No such thing exists in lesbianism. Just issues rubbing against other issues, and rolls of sweaty fat grunting like pigs. Afterwardshysteria, neurosis and cats. So many cats.

>meme
that's not how you call the truth.

...

>no passion
You clearly have never seen two lesbians go at it.

I find it quite disgusting.

...

This. The series actually managed to end on a Lesbian Kiss Episode. It's just about the most pedestrian and empty stunt they could possibly have come up with.

Korrasami is best

I want to fuck Asami tbqh

...

It wasn't that good. Korra just took all the bad stuff and amplified it, thus making it worse in comparison.

>talking down about homosexuals
>while being a homosexual

Fuck, that was meant for

Its nowhere near that bad. There are plenty of worse cartoons from animation and writing perspective. I mean I know this is just a bait thread like practically every cartoon thread on this board but seriously calm down a little man.

/fit/ chicks are pretty rare, that's why LoK kinda gets a pass for facilitating a lot of delicious fanart.

But at least there are some other options.

It's trash though.

Jesus fuck why are you people so overdramatic?

I've never actually seen anyone defend Korra's merits as a cartoon - it's always defending the lesbian ship for the sake of porn.

That's the show's legacy. Lesbian porn.

Bryke should be ashamed.

No, they got their progressive brownie points. They're satisfied.

Let's hope their new YA books fail spectacularly.

I liked it better than the original, regardless of what other people think.
I wish Zhu Li did the thing to me.

>quality of love being affected by gender

Literally Tumblr with a different coat of paint

Go back to /u/ or kill yourself. The latter option would be less embarrassing.

The shows been over for a fucking year dude. Stop making this thread.

We're going to continue to have this kind of thread for the next decade, so you better learn to ignore it.

I don't watch it but I like the porn.

>there are people who genuinely believe Korra is anything other than amazing
Were you people fucked in the head when you were babies?

Lesbians can't save everything. Not that lesbians are that special anyway.

Nick had Bryke reigned in for ATLA because it was experimental.
Because of the success of ATLA, Nick gave them much more control for Korra.

Funny how that works.

This meme needs to die. It was a great show except for some stuff like the love triangle and weak beginning to season 2.

>I've never actually seen anyone defend Korra's merits as a cartoon
Try /u/.
And also the shippers who liked seasons 1 and 2 and felt that 3 wasn't better than those two.

But /u/ is only about lesbians aswell.

Also 3/4 endings were shit, the pacing was awfull. Almost every idea they came up with was horribly executed etc. etc. But outside of everything wrong with it, it was great!

Please kill yourself

>Let's hope their new YA books fail spectacularly.
They've burned all their bridges. And bisexuals don't buy things aside from food, so their future endeavors are shot.

>some

...

Nah.

While I think it's a stupid reason to excuse some poor directing and writing, I do agree it's nice to see different types of leads and main characters. Which is one of the reasons why I never understand why people get so rekt'd when you have a non-white male as a lead for something.

There is nothing truly terrible about korra besides it not being as good as its precursor. If it had come out before avatar did it would have been seen as an good show. Because it came after everyone compared it to avatar which they had nostalgia glasses on for so it was literally impossible for it to measure up. This hate spiraled into a meme until saying anything good about the show was met with massive shitposting.
The animation was gorgeous. The writing was decent and sometimes bad but nowhere near truly awful. The comedy was good. The only major flaw was characterization which for a character driven show I will admit is kind of a big flaw, but even that isn't anywhere as bad as people make it out to be.
Boom you saw someone defend Korra. Happy?

Korra is much better than a majority of cartoons ever made

That's just the usual wrong reply, trying to disregard critisism because of nostalgia. It is mostly only compared to Atla by those who wish to defend it. Those who dislike LoK very rarely compare it to Atla, they simply state things that were poorly done.

I watched it with Avatar nostalgia goggles and still loved it for the most part. Especially season 3. I have no idea what the big fucking problem is.

>boom

back to plebbit you cancerous fuck

also, i agree with you

the "criticism" for the show is so bad it discredits itself

hating on korra is a meme

>hating on korra is a meme
The critizism is usually spot on. The writing was poor, and that is the extent of it. Blaming nostalgia when no one is comparing it to Atla is the problem because it stops actual discussion.

Hating on Korra is a Sup Forums meme. Everyone else likes it.

in b4 >le dumb imdb ratings dont matter AT ALL lolz

False, Tumblr and /u/ likes it. And even then only certain parts of tumblr likes some of it.

Imdb ratings don't matter when only 60k people voted. Same as Rotten tomatoes who is based on 1 or 2 reviews.

Not that ratings explain away the obvious problems LoK had, that no one can defend without using Nostalgia, Porn, Lesbians or Nick interference.

>only 60k
Compared to the 1000 tops who talk about it on Sup Forums?
This has to be a shit post

Atleast on Sup Forums you can have arguments. Numbers mean very little for the quality, it just shows how many bothered to vote. And people like shit things regardless of quality.
