I've only just begun browsing /pol, but I've been interested in politics for some time.
Why do americans vote for Donald Trump? I mean no harm or disrespect, I am just genuinly interested. Tell me if Im wrong, but are you guys voting for him just for fun? Do you want to see how far you can drag your flag in the dirt before it rips?
Here's a reminder: He's just some guy who had a TV show which was decent at best. Even Tyra Banks (Top Model USA) can compete with him.
1.) Because his competition is a criminal. 2.) He wants to keep cartel violence from spreading further into the United States.
Ryan Rogers
>He's just some guy who had a TV show
Shill or mentally deficient?
Sage
Aaron King
J/k this is absolutely meant with harm.
Hudson Brooks
Ronald Regan >Actor from California Donald Trump >Actor from New York
Yes we are voting for him Norway
Ian Jenkins
Because we hate the opposition so much that we're willing to make a deal with the devil.
Kevin Jones
honestly id vote for bill cosby if it means stopping hillary
no meme just simple hate for that cunt
Jonathan Edwards
Hello, proxy shill. Nice to meet you faggot self!
Logan Murphy
Donald Trump is a consequence of the political elite ignoring a prevailing public sentiment that their government is, to a large degree, untrustworthy.
That's about as succinct as I can make it for you.
Isaiah Nguyen
I love you guys but you are fucking up. I'm not saying socialism or communism is better, but atleast you could've voted for the lesser evil. Nothing is set in stone but he is leading by quite a lot
Robert Stewart
Thank you, that might be the first sincere answer I've gotten.
Nathaniel Wilson
Dude, Im not even from Burgerland but even i know that a wet rag would be a better president than Hitlary. And now excuse me have to go to the mosque, dont wanna miss the weekly stoning.
Justin Jones
Check'd and nice answer. For once I'm getting some actual answers, and not just shitposts
Oliver White
But Trump is even more untrustworthy. >Willing to abandon our NATO obligations >Inviting the Russians to hack our secret emails Voting for him is pretty much acquiescence to turning the USA into a puppet state of Putin's Russia.
Christopher Sanders
Politics are about to become defined not by left vs right, but by Nationalist vs Globalist. Donald Trump is on the side of the nationalists.
Levi Nguyen
Thank you for your opinion friend from down under. I agree with your opinion. Norwegian news are riddled with warmongering these days. Every week we read something about the USA being aggressive, or Russia being on the move for world domination. Our newspicture is corrupted, and I'm glad I can ask for opinions here.
Henry Gonzalez
>lesser evil >globalist kike puppet who will start more wars for israel and bring in more mexicans and mudslime
fuck off you stupid nigger. you don't know what you're talking about.
Jason Jenkins
>nato obligations why not fucking bring up the majority of nato countries obligation to pay up?
Asher Wright
But nothing Trump has said or done or said he will do is evil you idiotic fuck. MAYBE the thing about killing Terrorist families but still.
Cooper Jones
Please remove your tinfoil hat. Hillary is corrupted and crooked but atleast she has some expeirence.
Thomas Wood
That's not untrustworthy, that's just reckless. And he very well could be a reckless and dangerous president. Hell, he could even prove to be untrustworthy and just as corrupt as Hillary. But his supporters are willing to take that chance because they are _certain_ that Hillary is as corrupt as they come. It really is a "devil you know vs the devil you don't" kind of trade. Some people are even counting on him failing so miserably that some kind of democratic reform is forced into action. But that may very well be a case of the cure being worse than the disease, we don't know because he's so unpredictable.
Blake Richardson
The whole, USA is aggressive and war mongering actually doesnt hold much to scrutiny.
We've fought a bit, and we spend a lot of military, but due to this, we're relatively peaceful. (We're no Switzerland or Iceland mind you)
Personally, I find Globalism to not be the best course of action right now. Especially considering over population is soon to become and issue, and with a Globalist view, its unlikely we'll solve overpopulation before people die from it.
From a nationalist view, it's easier to manage the country's overpopulation, and to manage on a smaller scale in general.
Thomas Taylor
Again, you it seems like you are voting for change rather than for your country. I would never vote for Hillary, but you seem desperate. I can understand this, but why not take the slow route to hell rather than the train speeding into the brick wall?
Ayden Garcia
>has some experience >this includes turning Libya into a complete shithole
Liam Butler
>but why not take the slow route to hell rather than the train speeding into the brick wall? The same reason as why Germany recovered from WWII much faster than the UK did. It's a lot easier to rebuild something from scratch than try and make something that's half-destroyed fully functional again.
Luis Perry
I'm curious; how do you see globalism as a hedge against overpopulation? I always thought that overpopulation was a rallying cry for nationalists and isolationists.
Xavier Davis
Great answer. Question: Are you not afraid that the american way would corrupt itself if not anyone can benefit from "the dream?"
Jack Thomas
Here's a tip from someone who actually lives in the country: Mind your own fucking business.
Samuel Robinson
i like it when shills say things like "no disrespect" and "im genuinely interested" to hide that they are shills but then continue by saying obvious shill shit.

Hillary represents a globalist desire to open borders in order to import a voter base that will reliably vote blue every single election; globalists use this to create a pseudo-1 party system that gives them unilateral control over arguably the most powerful nation to ever exist.
Trump is a loud nationalist who represents the concerns and sentiments of the informed, economically oppressed, every day American: we have been thoroughly fucked by our corrupt leaders. Trump is not one of those leaders.
I'm voting Jill to split the Dem vote but I earnestly hope nobody can Stump the Trump this year. It's too important that Hillary loses.
Eli Gray
I might seem like a complete robot since I've answered every (you) in this thread the same way but: Good answer. Question: In Norway the "meta" seems to have shifted towards integration rather than segregation: why would that not work in america, or even GB for that sake? (I would like to point out that even in our extremely liberal country, this works barerly, but poorly)
Mason Brooks
No worries mate, enjoy your stay. Just remember, you're here forever :^)
Tyler Hall
If you have no answer that makes a contribution to the thread, please fuck off. I don't care if you live in the country or not: you are probably part of the reason why your country, which was once a force to be reckoned with is now the laughing stock of the world. You are part of the problem, and not the solution. This board, from what I've gathered, houses some people with some understanding in politics and I would much rather have their answer here rather than your shit opinion.
Hunter Reed
Are you saying that between two corrupt politicians, I should vote for the one that's better at being corrupt?
Colton James
I probably am, but I would like to gain SOMETHING from this shithole before I die
Blake Howard
We've been trying to integrate for longer than you have, so we know it doesn't work.
Andrew Cruz
>yes goy, vote for the candidate that's been corrupt for longer, yesssss!
Connor Baker
Kill yourself my man. The rise of nationalism is a worldwide movement and you socialist northern european kikes need to mind your own fucking business. If you want to suck muslim dick on the regular that's your decision, but we're sick of it.
Adam Barnes
If I wanted to drag my flag into the dirt, I'd vote for HRC. Trump is the first nationalist, despite his faults, that I've seen take the podium and actually make an impact in a long time.
Aiden Young
Yes I do. Please remember that I am looking at this from my perspective, and while it might be stupid, I think the global view of your country is important. She might be the most corrupt bitch in the universe, but atleast she seems more serious than Trump. You are free to respond however you like, but I would love if you tried to correct me.
Elijah Sullivan
Here are the 3 biggest redpills from this site 1. The jews control everything 2. The holocaust is greatly exaggerated 3. Women should not be able to vote
Jose Jenkins
it isn't just the ones in europe, the faggots in minnesota act like complete cucks as well, they even voted for rubio for fucks sake. they're genetically predisposed to being complete weaklings.
Isaiah Bailey
Pretty good bait, you had me for a few sentences.
Josiah Kelly
That is true. He seems like a force to be reckoned with, but do you think he is fit to be president?
Dylan Anderson
Trump wants more jobs, Hillary wants more welfare. Trump wants more nationalism, Hillary wants more globalism. Trump wants to enforce the border, Hillary wants open borders.
I like the things that Trump wants and dislike the things that Hillary wants.
Hunter Cruz
I started out liking him just because I wanted to see him cause chaos and shake shit up. Then he started getting serious about changing things the establishment that's been in power loves. I have a lot of hate for the government, so the man is speaking my language.
You have to understand, there's a big difference between America the people, and America the government. This is why, for example, Putin can write an open letter specifically to the American people and a lot of people respond very positively to it. Only minority groups actually really like the way the government is going, and I'm talking really specific minority groups (ie lazy criminal welfare leech niggers and not all blacks, and illegal wetbacks and not latinos as a whole). Everybody else has some grievance with the government, and even those groups still have grievances.
Most Americans despise the government, and it's rapidly approaching the point where they become absolutely intolerable, which is the exact word the founders used in the Declaration of Independence before they went to war with England. The government needs a serious change, and either the politicians will do it at the hands of a radical new generation spearheaded by Donald J Trump, or we'll burn it down and start over.
Kevin Williams
Part of why Reagan was effective at negotiating was because he let people think that he was going crazy and thus was willing to the the bomb
Christopher Barnes
global view of our country? what the fuck do you think electing a merkel tier dumb old cunt will do for the US's reputation? our reputation has always been built on doing our own thing, not what other countries want us to do or what is popular. keep your worthless opinion to yourself.
Isaac Watson
Is the government untrustworthy when compared to the past though? I understand that people feel that way, but are there facts to back that feeling up?
Ryder Rodriguez
1 and 2 are mostly true, but nr. 3 is exaggerated. Women should be allowed to vote, but all people should be tested beforehand.
Dylan Thompson
Fuck off, you dumb snownigger.
Jack Sanders
>OP claims to be new >everyone welcomes him
Wow this board went to shit. Fuck you pussies. Fuck you newfag.
Colton Perez
Incredible answer. This actually gave me some insight. Thanks amerifiend.
Jaxson Evans
I love you.
Juan Nelson
Not him, but honestly, I do.This guy has a lot of good points. I think he might make a few unpopular decisions, but I also think he'll shake things up, which is what a lot of people want right now. I honestly think he was the shot in the arm the GOP needed, however they may feel about that. Meme candidate or not, most politicians on the right have issues with presence, charisma, and spreading their message to the American people. He's proven he can do all that.
Jaxon Gomez
You read that backwards. Overpopulation is cured by nationalism. Instead of swelling the burgeoning shitskin population by giving them aid and also bringing them here to breed like roaches, we let them deal with it themselves.
Bentley Brown
You would seem future-driven and progressive.
Dominic Russell
...
Ethan Miller
That is my opinion aswell. Obama was not a good president but what he lacked in political know-how, he made up with charisma. Trump seems to be "somewhat" the same guy. He's incredibly charismatic.
Adrian Gutierrez
Dude dont you see that's why america's great someone like that can run against someone who has done so much sneaky peat shit in the past its crazy. At least Trump is honest for the most part. But you know what else is great about our country the electoral collage which will make sure Trump doesn't win.
Dylan White
You type like you're twelve.
Leo Watson
If only it was bait
Justin Peterson
But what if he does win? The idea about the american dream is splendid. "If you work hard enough, you can become anything or anyone".
Anthony Lopez
So correct me if I'm wrong here, but you want us to vote for the president that will continue to fuck over our country because it'll make the other countries feel better about us? That I shouldn't put the livelihood of my own country, my friends and family, before our reputation with the rest of the world?
Because if that's the case, you're not really going to be swaying a lot of people.
Aaron Jones
His opinion matters just as much as yours and mine.
Honestly, it's because his competition is just that unlikeable.Personally, I think Trump is acting retarded, but I'd rather have him than a Madame War-Time President
Camden Stewart
You forget Congress controls the purse. He will be checked hard and forced fall in line.
Camden Campbell
>He's just some guy who had a TV show he's also one of the country's most successful and well-known businessmen since the 70's, the name "Trump" has been synonymous with self-made success, wealth, and power
but now he's being smeared because he's running against Hillary Clinton, a cunt-in-waiting who has leeched so much political power through being married to the president that she commands an army of jews to do her bidding
Ten years ago, Trump would have an approval rating of 95% plus, meanwhile 75% of the nation would call hillary a shrill battle-axe leeching off her husband's success
through hillary and the DNC's smear campaign, now trump is no longer a wealthy self-made businessman who has been successful for decades, he is a stupid ugly racist who steals all his money, hates mexicans, and wants to kill all muslims in the world
but trump hasn't changed he's an intelligent, experienced, polite, tacticious, powerful man who represents the absolute best of the american people
don't buy into the democratic party's jewish lies. hillary doesn't represent anything about america except lmaowomen, and she never will
Jack Adams
I'm not trying to sway the vote in any way.
You make a fair point, but what makes you think that Trump will make a better job than Hillary? I'm going to admit that Hillary is crooked, and that she is a warmongering maniac for the most part. I'm not trying to undermine your opinion, I just want to learn.
Robert Scott
That's a good question. I think that Americans have just seen enough anecdotes (scandals, impeachments, broken promises, etc) to believe it to be true. Weather or not it actually is true really might not matter so much as the perception of it being true. Politics is a popularity contest often enough, but I think the US has hit a point for the first time where it's the contest that is really more unpopular than the people in it.
Fuck, sorry, I read that wrong somehow. Thanks for clarifying.
The American dream also hasn't panned out for a lot of people. I just realized - that might be the biggest broken promise of all. (See above reply to )
Easton Howard
That is completely correct. I had almost forgotten about congress.
William White
This is all true. He is incredibly charismatic and successful, but do you think he would fit as POTUS?
Blake Peterson
women should only be allowed to vote in times of peace and economic prosperity
they lack the primitive instinct to protect the tribe
Joseph Wright
Yah as stupid as anyone is if you dont have the votes as president to back up what you are saying you are fucked. Unless he plays ball with congress he will be the biggest lame duck president ever and out in four years.
Brandon Ward
What do canadians think of Trump? Is the general public more leaning towards Hillary or Trump?
Camden Brooks
better than hillary or gary johnson and frankly that's all that matters they love hillary
Kayden Fisher
I've entertained this thought aswell. I've always had the idea that women are good at keeping things they way they are, but men are better at making drastic changes. Agree or disagree? How is Brazil now btw? Thinking about traveling there.
Ian Peterson
Do you think he fits better has potus simply because he is a man, or because he has the proper credentials? I would like to point out that I am pretty conservative about this, and think that men are more suited for major politcal roles. However, I think women often make good political changes aswell.
Aiden Nelson
The way things are right now, this won't be a problem for Trump.
In case you didn't see the headlines, the Democrats are going bankrupt financing Hillary's campaign (and facing a class action lawsuit by Bernie supporters). Her big strategy sure appears to be to spend as much money as humanly possible on attack ads that do nothing for her, as almost 50% of people report seeing Trump ads that didn't exist until a couple days ago. This means they're going to have no money to finance the campaigns of down ticket senators and governors and shit.
Compare to Trump, who spends basically nothing and is still tied or winning. This means the Republican warchest can be nearly entirely devoted to downticket campaigns, and since they're being dragged kicking and screaming into being the Nationalist party under Trump, you can bet the next couple elections are going to see a lot of governors and congressmen elected that share a lot of Trump's ideas (say goodbye to Paul Ryan and Kasich, for example).
Add to that the two or three Supreme Court justices Trump is going to appoint and you have a serious chance of seeing all three branches of the government, and many state governments, controlled by Trump approved nationalists for at least eight years (and if it goes well, probably much longer).
Hunter Murphy
Which are two things America doesn't give a single shit about. Americans are the offspring of pilgrims who tamed a wild land, they are present-focused and pragmatic. Which is why Donald Trump is doing well, he's the one addressing the real issues (isis, china, nato, immigration) in a pragmatic blunt language that resonates with the people, even if he hasn't proposed anything feasible yet.
Isaiah Thompson
I believe in the qoute misattributed to Alexander Tytler (I dont know the real source sadly.) "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilisations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage."
I believe the US is nearing its end of the cycle, and is soon to renew itself. It will be an interesting century, Im sure.
Isaac Young
Unpopular opinion which I would like to have confirmed or denied: do Trump attract non-voters and/or idiots? I'm not saying this is true in any way, I'm just asking.
Luke Cruz
The thing is does Trump really care who is gonna get those positions? He is gonna appoint whoever the fuck he wants Democrat or Republican He is gonna find the most hard core judge he can find one who just deals out real Justice. Those may be good for the US.
Lucas Ortiz
Nice answer. Thank you huebro
Wyatt Perez
>How is Brazil now btw? crime-ridden hellhole that nearly underwent a party coup a few months ago >Thinking about traveling there. pickpockets and motorcycle muggers will be at an all-time high when the olympics come through
his policies don't violate the constitutional liberties of the american people, nothing at all to do with his sex deport people who are here illegally, stop taking in refugees, cut foreign aid spending, create insurance plans and social welfare plans that benefit the struggling working-class rather than the do-nothing worthless dregs of society, etc.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, and I cannot stress this enough, we absolutely 100% NEEEEEEED a republican president in office right now, because the president who is inaugurated in this election will be picking two supreme court justices in their term.
Supreme Court Justices have terms that last an entire lifetime, and can change the constitution with a majority decision. the best conservative judge on the bench died a few months ago, and the worst liberal judge is so old that she could die at any minute. right now the court is split at 4 conservatives and 4 liberals since justice Scalia died, and if a liberal majority forms in that court then America is seriously literally actually doomed to become a nanny-state feelings-based eurocuck nation that will succumb to the muslim caliphate in the next 100 years. 2016 really is the most important american election in recent history, and conservatives need to win
Isaac Williams
>but atleast she has some expeirence
So? Being part of the establishment doesn't really give you any competences other than maybe keeping that establishment alive and running.
When the establishment is the enemy of the people, do you think that's a good thing?
Eli Moore
The Canadian public leans more towards Hillary, of course. We've always been more left-leaning than the US. But Trump does have his admirers in certain pockets - not that you'd catch most people admitting it outright in public. Some of us understand the pushback against perceived corruption in the US government, but still think Trump is too unpredictable and dangerous. Most people, I think, are just anxious to see who wins. We're typically one of the first nations caught in the wake of major political change in the US.
Now mainstream Canadian media is another story entirely - if Hillary had a dick they'd suck it so hard her cock would stretch clear across the continent. They literally run pieces called "Donald Trump's Lies" and such while pushing puff pieces about Hillary's high school classmates and the struggles of women in leadership positions (and all that is just from the state owned media). Not that I pine for one candidate over the other, but the bias is so thick you could patch boat hulls with it. From your earlier posts I'm guessing Scandinavian nations are subjected to something similar.
Matthew Robinson
Incredible quote. Wish I knew the source. That quote is absolutely fitting for your friends in the North aswell. It feels as if we've ridden the black wave of oil for too long.
Austin Gomez
God damnit Norway stop getting your info from facebook
Evan Robinson
The biggest factor that drives me to agree with Trump is that he doesn't see the US as a huge charity for other countries. For me, a country's highest priority should be its own survival. We shouldn't need to accept illegal immigrants and refugees when we can barely employ our own citizens. We shouldn't need to put up with unfair trades with other countries or weak offshore company regulations when we're currently amidst our own economic problems. Doing so will just hurt us further, and if anything will just assure that we won't have anything more to offer other countries in the future.
James Davis
See this is why I started this thread in the first place. Norwegian media does NOT clarify why the americans actually want Trump, or a conservative win. Thanks for your insight
Alexander Morgan
We cant fucking help it. The only newsupdates we get are bloggers and euorpean terrorism. I must seek out news about this on my own, and on top of that, I have to read it all in english.
Kevin Brooks
Reagan was notable for using the bully pulpit to support or condemn the campaigns and careers of politicians on an almost weekly basis. Considering how much Trump likes to talk to the people and how much he hammers the point of appointing the right people, I'm sure he'll do the same.
Idiots, no more than any other candidate does. There's a lot of idiots and you need them to win no matter who you are. Non-voters, I think the term first-time voters is better. I know there hasn't been a serious nationalist candidate in my lifetime, and I could have voted in the last two elections which I declined to do because neither candidate represented me. Trump is energizing a lot of people who haven't voted before to go out and do it. If you thought the primary turnout was huge (which is was) wait til you see the general.
Hudson Allen
>Norwegian media does NOT clarify why the americans actually want Trump, or a conservative win. of course not even if they knew the answer, globalist media needs to keep up the "trump is a stupid bigot" image so they can continue doing what they're doing
globalists believe the world would be better off if we took care of the world
americans/conservatives believe america would be worse off if we were burdened with the world's problems
we just want to be fucking left alone and cultivate our country for ourselves
Nathan Rivera
What do the Norwegians think of Anders Brevik?
Matthew Cox
>From your earlier posts I'm guessing Scandinavian nations are subjected to something similar.
This is completely true. I don't think you can even call it a nonbiased newsoutlet anymore.
David Nelson
Damn I didn't realize the supreme court ramifications this election. Although, correct me if I'm wrong - doesn't the Senate need to approve court appointments? Or is this just a rubber-stamp formality? It tends to be up here.
This all lends more weight to whoever it was said earlier that this is really a globalist vs nationalist contest. And likely not just in the US - the west has been telling itself for a long time now that "globalism is good!" I think a lot of people are starting to ask "for who?"
Well we just had July. 22 come around which is the day the went overkill. Right now people are a bit over it I think. Seems like people justs want it to be over. Norwegians and scandis get bored easily, even if it is a mass murder.
everybody attracts idiots, but it's only acceptable to call it out when they're white southerners
yeah the senate does need to approve court appointments, but i don't think they've ever been able to veto a supreme court appointment just because the of the justice's political views
besides, justices are supposed to be impartial, so that's how they present themselves until they get on the bench
look at that fucking kike ginsburg, who straight-up has said multiple times that our constitution sucks and she votes based on her feelings
