Kind of a somber note to end.

Thanks for reading. I hope you've enjoyed the series. Trade comes out in July.

gay end confirmed

>this book actually made it to #6

surprised they didn't cancel at 4 or something

Nah, Adam's gonna fuck both Trey and Krysta, if last issue was any indication.

Most Marvel cancellations are done at issue 6. It's also the perfect size for a trade.

Poor Greg. This series had potential but two Literally Whos are a hard sale. I'll probably buy the trade to support ol Weissman.

Marvel have started to have 4 issue trades

Squirrel Girl and something else had 4 issue trades recently

black panther but they put in kirby fantastic four issue so they can charge the big bucks

Black Panther is gonna put 4 ANAD issues with 1 older issue.

Now I want to see Imani as a Starbrand.

The art didn't help it either.

Yeah. I usually get over art if the story's good enough, and this is no exception. But the cover art was terrific and it should've been more like that.

Or at least like that art shift at the college party, where everyone actually looked like college students.

oh look it's the Caged Demonwolf!

>blue
>thick
>angry
Perfect.
Too bad the art inside the issue is garbage.

Because you have good taste. Murderous muscle waifus are the best waifus.

YES.

Jesus why does this book have to be cancelled. it's so good!

Imani is pretty much Tumblr: The Character, yet she's nowhere as annoying as she should be. Why is that?

Because she's not really Tumblr: The Character?

It looks like Punished Imani is an activist for actual important issues, not middle-class+ woman issues.

Tumblr: The Character would bitch and complain about issues but never actually be involved with said issues or be engaged with them in any meaningful way.

Imani is clearly fighting

bump

Well, he is in college.

I thought hormones were usually more unbalanced in the high school years?

The human brain doesn't fully develop until age 25.

And lo, the Weisman Curse claims another victim.

What is he doing now, anyway?

Waiting for God to cancel his life.

He writes his own series of books. Pretty sure he is still on Rebels too, though I never watched the series so I can't say for sure.

Also, looking at his Wikipedia page, he's 52. Damn.

I'm sad to see it go anyone know if there will be a different book with Starbrand and Nightmask in it?

I assumed they would be added to New Avengers, but then this issue ended with Nightmask showing up and giving Roberto the finger.

Writing for Shimmer and Shine and doing WoW YA books.

The books didn't sell well past the second one and he left Rebels after season one.

Ah.

Shame. Guy's a good writer, but all of the problems he's had are not his fault.

Maybe if he actually tied together loose ends in his works, we wouldn't be so sad about it all.

>52

FUCK OFF JOHNS REEEEEEEE

I'd rather take an unfinished, but well-planned story than a rushed mess (Korra, Gravity Falls). Besides, W.I.T.C.H., Star Wars Kanan, and this series had some pretty satisfying endings.

>Shimmer and Shine
Jesus Christ. Gotta pay those bills though, I guess. At least there's pretty much no way those WoW books will fail.

>At least there's pretty much no way those WoW books will fail.

Oh yeah. Weisman's best selling comic book was the first Kanan trade, so there's that.

Reading bump

Jesus Christ, Skrulls cannot ever catch a break, can they?

She wouldn't be a Kree if she didn't slaughter a few Skrulls first.

Make love, not war, baby.

Two questions:
1) So did Imani just get jipped out of being Starbrand?
2) If Imani was the Starbrand, does that mean the Kree qt would have still kissed her?

1.) Yes

2.) Yes and now I need fanart

Kevin being Starbrand as a mistake was established before this, right?

this was neat

Yeah, during the White Pages Event they kept repeating THE MACHINE IS BROKEN like their record playing machine was broken.

Do you think we will ever see the Kree starbrand again?

Someone would actually have the desire to use Starbrand first.

There's also the chance they could just ignore what Weisman brought into the picture. The run was short and a financial failure, so they could get away with it.

Yep this is officially Kevin's day

No, the shit he brought had potential and the only reason besides below average art, that this didn't sell was because life is cruel.
