Isn't there a history board now?

it's all been downhill since the fall of Rome for Italy

All fascist countries other than Nazi Germany were shit-tier. Franco only won the civil war because the Nazis helped him.

Portugal got BTFO by fucking Guinea-Bissau.

Did you know German and Russian use the same word for "bitchstate"?

I don't think Italian soldiers at the time had the kind of morale and not to mention training the German soldiers had.

South Africa was decent, considering what they had to work with.

Japan did pretty well before America got involved

Rommel mentioned that Italian troops performed well with proper supplies and good leadership, problem is they rarely had it.

Dubs speak the truth

One of the reason the Soviets won the Battle of Stalingrad was because Hungary and Romania couldn't hold the flanks for the Nazi armies, weak allies essentially costing the axis the whole war.

This is why America will the lose the wars to come.

Kill your stupid polak

There's no proof that battle ever happened.

Imagine this

the EU starts to talk about extending their powers and creating an empire.

Would you fight and die for the EU?

Italy was a new country at the time

also, bad leadership, bad equipment, bad training and zero morale

None of the soldiers believed in the cause - Italians are quite wise as they have been through it all as a nation and know how futile it is perhaps

Because modern Italy is flawed by shit organization.

When Italy were small states, like Rome, Vatican, Venice, Florence, Genoa etc. they were better structured.

As said the Italians perform very well when commanded properly. But if you try to expand an offensive war without good organization, leadership and logistics you'll lose to anyone.

>Italian invasion of France
mfw

>cappuccino breaka
>taka da napa now
>brb ina fifteena minuta

Ciao

Italy was raped by arabs for centuries.

And we all know about arabs and war.

>One of the reason the Soviets won the Battle of Stalingrad was because Hungary and Romania couldn't hold the flanks for the Nazi armies
Germans knew very well what is their situation, but they had nothing more. They fell for soviet trap, gg.

so you can give shit to the French with the surrender monkey meme but the italians got an excuse?

>They fell for soviet trap, gg.
That Russian encirclement took ages. No one fell for it. Hitler just sucked at strategy and this time not even the excellent General Staff could convince him otherwise. It's what you get for entrusting an Austrian with...anything, really.

...

...

They didnt fight until death shame

Bad commanders. Look at world war 1. After the first battle lost we changed the general and everyting gone fine.

Nigel please you are embarrassing yourself

Japan (a small island nation with almost no natural resources) fought well (not perfect) against a superpower and even inflicted more casualties than they took at the battle of Iwo Jima. You argument has flaws.

same reason the soviets performed piss poor at first: no leadership. Mussolini purged royalist generals

Because they built the other 1/3 of Western Civ

They dont need to fight anymore

Ever heard of the Moorish invasions? Seriously, why does every Greek/Italian believe they wuz Romanz and sheeit? That entire southern part of Europe got cucked by Arabs.

bad training
bad equipment
bad leaders
low morale, due to Italy not being a real country yet.
bad support from civilians/country

Japan was not fascist.

Italians are just lazy. No point in sugar coating it. Have you ever met one?

>That entire southern part of Europe got cucked by Arabs.
You entire family was cucked by niggers if your education is that bad. The boot was never controlled neither by Arabs nor by Turks. Only Sicily was lost for less than 200 years, with mudshits expelled afterwards by Normans.

>being a weeb

Japan's ideology during WWII predates Mussolini's development of fascism by decades.

The veneration of the emperor and the emphasis on imperial expansion have their roots in the Meiji Restoration.

Japan was expanding into Korea and China when Hitler was still a child.

Meanwhile elite German troops were fighting pointless battles and Africa and essentially doing nothing in the Caucasus mountains. The Romanians and Hungarians should've been sent there instead, I remember reading they weren't because of a traitor from within.

American education told us it was. WW2 was against the fascists we think

The only anime I ever watched was DBZ and this masterpiece as a kid

...

who care pablo

>WW2 was against the fascists we think

Off yourself.

He's probably an expat, most likely eastern european from the way he types. If he really was English he'd be posting wiki articles about Italy getting BTFO'd and repeatedly typing pasta nigger.
That or he'd be down the local mosque

>italy

The last one where the germans and italians surrendered were at the end of the war. Hitler was dead. You cant count this as a decisive victory. The victory was already had.

What are you trying to say?

It's just what we were told as children

>New Algeria

The alpine battle was fucking intense. They were shooting at each other with mounted guns while the French and Italians both dug tunnels through the mountain to place explosives underneath their men.

It was really a horrible place to be fighting in a horrible war.

I see that battle happened long after Italy surrendered and joined the Allies. Why were they still fighting with the Nazis, then?

WWII, they had awful military leadership which was largely appointed by King Emmanuel through nepotism rather than by merit.
Erwin Rommel initially blamed the Italian soldiers for their lackluster performance in North Africa. He later recanted this and said the blame was not the soldiers or their fighting spirit, but their military leadership and outdated equipment.

Clue: Those giant symbols on either side are called Fasci

During this battle, I think it was operation little Saturn? Anyway Hungarians, Romanians, and Italians were in charge of defense of the Don River, protecting the German supply lines and whatnot. The Hungarians and Romanians flanked the Italian force, but they were quickly defeated and pushed back- leaving the Italians alone in the middle of the Don. Outflanked know both sides, equipped with rifles from the 1800s, cardboard soled shoes, and very little anti tank equipment (often using Molotov cocktails) they held the Russians back for another 9 days against huge numerical superiority before finally getting the order to retreat to avoid encirclement.

Commies started a civil war so there were basically two Italy. One sided with the allies and one with the axis.

lol retard, lrn2flags

>9 men
>9 prisoners
Fucking cowards frogs.

I didn't know that, thank you.
They surrendered because they ran out of bullets.

could be worse

Could've committed sudoku.

>blue
shame on me.
ARRIVO ALLEATO NIPPONICO

Folgore at El-Alamein, battle of Keren, Alpine divisions in Russia, Italians un Tunisia, Italian frogmen etc
There are countless examples of Italian bravery in WW2.

Let me tell you a story about the Carabinieri in nasariyah, Iraq circa 2003.
Carabinieri were training Iraqi police, who were corrupt as fuck.
Corrupt police officers working for Jaish Al Mahdi army vbeid and kill a bunch of them.
Answer:
>Donned blue pajamas, and went from to every sheik/local leader and assassinating anyone with connections to jam.
>drag bodies out into street and use them as bait to kill other iraqis
>bodies were left out for at least three days to make sure they would go to hell (bullshit reason, muslims believe martyrs to to heaven even w/o burial, but the war was early)
>the find the surviving person in charge of the neighborhood/construction company/what-have-you and allow them to bury the bodies on condition they sign peace treaty with the new trusted police officers in exchange for protection from jam retribution.
>mfw when iti police who are in charge of fighting mafia use mafia tactics to defeat shia militias.
>Left iraq having trained a competent and relatively clean police force
>Police chief gets vbied'd after they left
>Iraq is a shit-hole but they will forever fear two things: Blue pajamas and beretta pistols.

Based Carabinieri.
Damned Bush though, many problems would have been avoided if not for that war reckless war

Italians aren't pathetic at war, they were brave. It's just that the enemy counted with a previously unknown element that haunted them away

Yeah you're a weeb?

>literally one of the few countries where washing your ass after pooing is a must
I don't get it, must be some of those jungle Orangutan memes.

Yes but its more of an italian hate thread

>It's just that the enemy counted with a previously unknown element that haunted them away
You do realize we are talking about France right?

Eat your heart out.

I guess italy just lacks good tactics and leadership and they have powers to create 900 planes

There is a book that explains the bad military performance of Italy called Iron Hulls, Iron Hearts. The main reason is that italian industry was unable to supply the army with modern weapons, especially tanks- it took years until a production of a newly-designed tank started. The result was that Italians fought in the 1940's with tanks that belonged to the 1930's (with a few exceptions). The second reason was that political motivation of Italian soldiers was not that strong, Italian propaganda was not as efficient. There may be more reasons, but I do not recall them.
