If I liked The Witch will I like The Void?

This is quality kino that I am giving you, for your sarcastic thread.

I loved what they tried to go for, but it's not god tier. It's actually really fucking bad in certain aspects.

I wish I really hadn't heard of The Void, disappointing flick

>no Beyond Belief Factor or Fiction

The Witch is a well made suspense thriller, while The Void is a schlocky horror flick that's only talked about because it's aesthetically inspired by Lovecraft.

It's not clever in any way, there's nothing spectacular about it's writing, the acting is mediocre and cinematography is bog standard also the lack of a real budget is very apparent.
The Void is not a good movie, in fact, it's not even a decent movie if you don't give a shit about Lovecraft related things.

Was a pretty good movie, seems like it'll be a cult classic in the future. Windom Earle was a suprisingly threatening villain, and I feel like its the first movie to really give Lovecraftian cosmic horror a good cinematic platform

kys

this desu

>Classics:
>doesn't include this

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is fucking fantastic.

this is all true but it's still enjoyable

Recently. God tier a stupid qualifier.

a dark song
get out
circle

and autopsy of jane doe

gonna add these to your TV list since the only post-2000 thing you have is Black Mirror

Penny Dreadful
Channel Zero
Harper's Island (does what Scream, Scream Queens, and Slasher are trying to do but it's actually enjoyable)
Hannibal
The Exorcist (tv show is pretty good tbf)
True Detective (season 1)
The Leftovers (not really horror but supernatural themes are very prevalent)

THIS! Best horror movie in years

A Dark Song is not a horror. It's a drama movie akin to Sally Field's Not Without My Daughter

Real god tier horror -

>Arachnophobia
>horror

Shit was a comedy-thriller, yo.

Shit was too scary to watch twice. That makes it a horror.

Movie had worst script of all gd time, what a waste. The crazy doctor was cringe

Shill gtfo

>obscure horror kino

These do not disappoint
>The Entity
>Race with the Devil (requisite for youngfags)
>The Burning Moon
>Ghost Watch
>The Burning (newfags)
>The Night Flyer (best Stephen King adaptation, and he actually helped with script, amazing movie)
>Alligator (this movie is a cult classic, goofy but kinda genius, great cast)

Normie tier but god tier
Hausu
The House of the Devil
Vampyros Lesbos
Creepshow 2's The Raft segment (also a criminally underrated King adaptation)
