This is confirmed as the GOAT animated movie of all time

This is confirmed as the GOAT animated movie of all time.

And now they're doing a live re-make.

How will this work? Will the entire thing be CGI? Disney is going to continue to rape my childhood, aren't they?

It was about lions not goats, there isn't even a goat character in, and really you don't have to watch if you don't want to. Stop whinging about everything

Humans will play the lions.

Lion King was an uncredited remake of Kimba the White Lion, which in itself was based on Hamlet.

Nothing is original, get over yourself.

why the fuck id Disney just remaking all their classics as live action movies?
>Guy Richie's Aladdin with Will smith playing Genie
Jesus fucking christ

because it's awesome and everybody likes it

Underrated post.

not everybody is a braindead mouthbreather like you

rude

kill yourself

rude

Jungle book was at least watchable so this will probably be the same

So it's just Hamlet in Africa? I could live with that

>they're doing a live re-make

IN A FIRE

Do we get to see Nazi imagery with Scar in the remake?

You know that Beauty and the Beast made a billion fucking dollars, right?

I had no interest in Beaty, but The Jungle Book was decent. That's all it was. It was nice to sit through, I wouldn't do it again. Unfortunately the small breaks into song are what reminds you that the one good part of the original was the music.

>GOAT animated movie of all time
>not NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind or Laputa: Castle in the Sky

Lion King was a really bad movie once when you think about it

>Simba goes into exile
>knows these two cool guys totally portrayed in a good light and star appreciating the world
>suddenly, ghost dad appears (deux ex machina much?)
>tells Simba that everything he knows about life is bullshit
>most of the time we spent with Simba learning about life? worthless
>Timon and Pumbaa? worthless. The internal logic of the movie should tell us that they were a bad influence, because Simba only gets shit "done" is when he left them behind
>the "epic climax" is Simba just fights an older lion and weaker lion and kills him. Weak conflict resolution
>for some reason, movie portrays that Scar is to blame for the fact that there was no rain during his reign

because it's guaranteed money and they don't even have to write new scripts or put any effort or creativity in

literally not how those events occur.

Beauty and the Beast was garbage too.

>asshole prince starts being an asshole
>gets turned into monster and his persona staff turned into furniture
>surprise, he's still an asshole
>Belle gives him a chance

>asshole Gaston is an asshole
>doesn't get turn into a monster
>he's still an asshole
>Belle gives him no chance

Maybe Gaston should have been turned into a monster too

Yes, except they'll all be wearing hats saying Make The Pridelands Great Again

Mufasa was betrayed and Simba was cheated. Scar is a bad guy that did everything to get into power, we know. But it doesn't negate the rest of the points

>CGI Mufasu voiced by Idris Elba
>CGI Simba played by Michael B Jordan
>main villains are now white male poachers
>CGI Scar is now gender confused and voiced by a white male
>The female lionesses tall constantly about how the evil white man must be stopped

It will be kino.

>that moon
Islamophobic propaganda trash. Really disrespectful and hateful with the important symbols of the religion

>>CGI Scar is now gender confused and voiced by a white male
So, Scar?

>Scar is to blame for the fact that there was no rain during his reign
Scar fucked EVERYTHING up. He basically messed up the whole ecosystem by letting the hyenas do whatever they want unchecked.
