So much of the first X-Men movies, especially Iceman and Pyro, feel like that Chad's World thing Singer helped produce with Den, that early Internet based entertainment network that got exposed as being a front for this same pedophile ring to lure in young boys to their web. It was literally a fake ass show about teen boys coming to live in a gay orgy mansion. More subtle than that of course, but still. All the boys acted and dressed the same way that Singer had Iceman and Pyro act.

It didnt do that good because it's BOOORING. Apocalypse should of been an epic villain but instead is just lame. And of course Magneto(the Master of overacting) has to chew the scenery and do a Vader NNNOOOOOO. JLaw gave a half-assed performance (it's obvious she didn't want to be in this shitty movie). The Wolverine cameo was pointless and it's surprise was ruined by the trailers. Fan characters like Psylocke and Archangel get next to no dialogue and banter and are just generic henchmen while Magneto shitty gwen-stacy family get more development.
Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver, and Jean were the only watchable things in this movie. But they take a backseat to Magneto, Prof X, Magneto, Mystique, Magneto, and, of course, freaking Magneto (WHAT A SURPRISE! I KNOW!).
It doesn't help that general audiences prefer heroes to be inspiring and not emo and gloomy like in this movie. And they don't want to watch roland emmerich destruction porn (shit, Deadpool made fun of these cliche kind of movies).
