So, now that everyone agrees that Cartoon Network's animation (as of now) is shit, what does Sup Forums feel the future holding for Lakewood Plaza?

LPT seems like a decent enough show, but at this point I'm just sick to death of animators who grew up in the 80/90s just bloating their show with dated "aesthetics" (I hate that word but there's no better term for it).

This is the nth show in however many years to do this shit.

Nostalgia and retro 8-bit seems to be the theme of CN as of recent.

That looks ugly as fuck.

>i'm sick to death of animators having influences

i don't understand

Oh boy, another show about "Ordinary kid with super powers fights evil in a suburban environment while casually spewing hip slang"

>Clarence
>Uncle Grandpa
>shit animation

Nice try, I recommend getting over yourself and actually watching those shows.

Looks like every other Cartoon network show to me.

>another "WE FIGHT EVUUUUL" Cartoon
is Originality Really gone?

Are good character designs gone as well?

The show is literally about a bunch of teenagers running a convince store.

Are you fucking dense? They live across the street from "The Evil Factory". They fight crime and protect their mini mall from evil.

I've only seen the pilot from way back when.
The entire thing took place in their store with only a few scenes taking place outside and none of them seemed concerened with fighting villains except for KO and the villain's plans seems to be extremely cartoony and not very effective considering the only thing the bad guy of the pilot did was spray paint their sign.

Unless I missed something or something changed it really just seems to be about a bunch of kids running a convince store.

Yeah, ugly as fuck.

What kind of cartoon would you like then, user?

It's not originality is dead, it just western animation has to be dumbed down until the networks are no longer run by baby boomers and x gens.

Look at the background from the image above, notice how there's neon text and the exact same font used in Steven Universe?

>there's neon text

okay?

>the exact same font used in Steven Universe?

what

Sorry, I meant to say that there's neon backgrounds, but the text as well. This isn't an uncommon thing for 2010- CN shows, and I don't really get that.

I'm interested in the idea since it seems to be a big homage to retro fighting games, but I was getting Uncle Grandpa vibes from the shorts and that's kinda off-putting. There's always off-model porn to look forward to I guess.

There's a difference between influences and being exactly like all your little Adventure Time buddies

yeah because animation trends are a new thing and haven't been happening for decades since before you were born.

A 40 year old man and his family getting in predicaments that overly exaggerate the daily challenges of suburban white life.

>another shitty family animated sitcom

Real original.

>taking my post seriously
