Netflix 4K has been cracked; lossless 4K shows are being leaked online

A group called PLAYREADY has found a way to download the original Netflix streams from the Netflix servers in their original lossless 4K HEVC format. All the latest seasons of shows are being ripped as we speak without any need for capping, ripping or encoding. They can literally download the original file from Netflix servers the same way you can download original YouTube streams with youtube-dl.

Many of you may have noticed this on private trackers as PLAYREADY is currently working on getting as many Netflix shows downloaded and leaked before they patch the exploit.

The method is being kept secret, so this may go on for a long time.

Has Sup Forums downloaded any of these original 4K rips yet? They are better than Bluray quality. Not even joking. Better start buying more hard drives to store that 4K tvkino, boys.

>the same way you can download original YouTube streams with youtube-dl.
You can't. You can only download the shitty encoded versions that YouTube present.

Vimeo sometimes offers the original stream.

Are they releasing 4K masters before Netflix bitrate starves them so they can be streamed off the internet? Or have they just found a way to copy 1-1 the streams Netflix proffers?

>he fell for the 4k meme

my projector can't go any higher than old school 'hd' which is 720p. Maybe I should get an upgrade for this shit.

No way streamed 4K is better than blu-ray physical.

>he fell for the better resolution meme
Yeah and so has everyone else since the invention of the television you blithering idiot

Its a 1-1 copy of the HEVC stream Netflix offers. Nobody said the masters are available. Those are only available to Netflix in IMF and ProRes format and never see the internet.

>projector
Jesus Christ user why don't you just use at that point

It is when Netflix encodes their 4K stream from the original masters using their in-house standards. Most Blurays are shit.

OP called it 'lossless'
Netflix "4k" is blurry and bitrate starved as shit.

>Netflix original series
Yay, so you can get the good stuff like S1 House of Cards, The Punisher, and the weakest season of Arrested Development.

That's still a lossless download. An original master would fill up a 1TB drive with a season or two.

First of all
>4k
el o el

Second
>implying Netflix has anything work watching in the first place
el o fucking el

If you look at the releases that are being leaked out, they are working on releasing all the most high demand stuff first. Stranger Things S1 is out, for example.

The rips are lossless in relation to the streams you would normally get.

it's not in a lossless 4k hevc format
it's in a 4k hevc format that is ripped without a (further) reduction in quality from reencoding
i could take a video of myself shitting, bitrate starve it and say "here, i am giving you this video and you are going to get without any quality loss, it will be a lossless video" but in the end of the day it's still shitty quality shit

>lossless
the bitrate is still shit though. it's not like they have blu ray tier quality on the servers and they're just encoded to look like shit

where can i find it all
where are they being uploaded

You are autistic

what about amazon? there are fucking incredible amounts of 4k streaming options for shows on amazon, including lawrence of fucking arabia and on the waterfront which aren't available on 4k blu ray yet

Are you autistic? Lossless doesn't mean that they magically got access to the original master file in Apple ProRes or IMF format. Lossless means they cracked the Wildevine DRM and can slurp up the raw files that Netflix hosts on their servers.

Secret club

nice! i'll wait for yify though

Netflix 4K is fucking worse than 1080p Blu-Ray

If you want actual 4K 10bit HDR, get 4K Blu-Ray discs

He's right though. Calling it lossless is misleading

>Stranger Things

Such pretentious garbage that show was

You need your autism meds, boy. If I download the original video from your iPhone or whatever, that is a lossless rip of you shitting.

>pretentious
it was nostalgia pandering to the LCD. It's far from pretentious, holy shit

If you don't have a Netflix subscription at this point, you are a loser.

>Lossless doesn't mean lossless, it means lossy!

so like private trackers?

it's not though you stupid retard. your phone encodes videos to save space you fucking idiot. You'd need to save in a raw or lossless format in order for that to be true. The only accurate thing to say is "higher quality." it's not lossless, just "less lossy"

+5 cents

That's not what's happening here though.

Never had one and never will

Private trackers. They aren't on public trackers yet, but they will be. What content do you want to download? I will tell you if they uploaded it already.

Do you know what pretentious means?

Lossless is not misleading. If you rip from a source without a loss in quality, that is a lossless rip. You have to be autistic to say its not losslessly ripped just because its not the original master produced by the shows editor.

That is what is happening here. The source is the Netflix server farm. The rips are being downloaded without any loss in quality. Untouched. That is a lossless rip. You are being autistic.

no, it's still lossy

imagine if spotify was cracked and you could download the mp3s of all of their songs without them being reencoded to further quality loss. You still couldn't call them lossy because they're encoded with a lossy encoder in the first place

the netflix rips are not lossless, they are just higher quality and less lossy

but the source isn't lossless in the first place. there's another term for this kind of thing called "remux"

>What content do you want to download?
idk i havent given that much thought
whats already been ripped?

The ripping process is lossless you idiot.

As long as you rip the original file from the source, it is a lossless rip.

but the vide files aren't lossless. they're encoded in a lossy format. this is similar to a blu ray remux.

It doesn't matter if the phone encodes to h264. By downloading the original file from your phone, I have performed a lossless rip from your phone. The only issue is whether or not something was taken from the source without a loss in quality. The source is your phone's memory just like the source in this case is a Netflix server.

We're talking about compression here though. The files are not using lossless compression

>you can use the term lossless to refer to the transferring of lossy data
"no"

It doesn't matter if the files are lossy. As long as the file being downloaded is the same, the file was ripped losslessly.

Do you think FLAC isn't a lossless rip because the CD is lossy?

Remux refers to putting a stream into another format like from the original disc format to mkv. It is a lossless rip even if the BD is lossy.

but cds are actually lossless though
see

You're all using the phrase lossless wrong. Lossless refers to encoding techniques, not the act of ripping a file.
CDs are lossless and so is FLAC. But of course you would have a lossy file if you rip it to FLAC from a lossy format.

You literally need 120"+ or sit right in front of the screen to notice a difference

>all these plebs arguing quality even though most of them are redditors with iMacs and razor laptops
lmao

>it is a lossless rip.

Of lossy data. Sure, it's technically a lossless rip, but the only difference that makes is that there's no further degradation of already degraded data. To make a big deal out of a lossless rip of a lossy encode is disingenuous or stupid. The whole point of a lossless rip is to have peak quality because you have 100% of the original data. Having 100% of the original data of a file that represents less than 100% of the original data of some raw file is completely meaningless.

Holy shit, this is real. I guess it is time to buy some HDD's. 140GB for a season is madness.

>it's another autists shitflinging episode

CDs are lossy. The 24 bit master is the original. CDs are a 16 bit down conversion.

>not the first post from this IP
you used the word wrong. why should you be allowed to? why is it OK for you to do?

>everyone is stupid but me

I don't give a shit for your gay debate

The 140 GB is actually not the ones being discussed in these threads. The scene has been encoding Netflix rips to x264 about 3-4 times bigger than the origjnal 4K files.

Checked and keked

Damn, didnt know that, thanks for the clarity.

Wrong. The one you're looking for is the H265 rip. That is only 42GB. The other rips are just bloated rips that weren't ripped from the server but just capped and encoded again.

you sure are lmao.

You guys are right, it looks like the PLAYREADY uploads are significantly less in size. Its insane how much bloat those other "4k" uploads have.

>13 GB for one shitty movie

Autism is a hell of a thing

>ywn get BTN access for 4k rips

Nigger the 5K iMac is the most high resolution color accurate screen you can get

its not loss lmao.

I can't even run 4K, but this is good for 1080p encodes.

Just find a decently reputable tracker with open invites. Get a good ratio and try to stay active in the message boards/irc if you can. Get an invite to an invite only tracker and do the same thing.

Back when I was trying to get one there were users on private trackers that would give you an invite to ptp/whatcd/btn based on your upload ratio, activity and longevity.

Not if that route is still viable but it worked for me about 4 years ago

Only one that's working as a start up point by my understanding is Redacted. Which I'm in, just currently going through the problem of having no one download my uploads. I had the same issue with WCD since I live in Australia so have fucked uploads, but worked around that by exploiting requests with the free Audible trick. That doesn't work anymore, so you gotta do shit the good old fashioned way of paying for a seedbox

How low IQ do you must have to think an ET knockoff with a magical girl is pretentious?

Damn, I guess I would proabably lurk the forums and see if anyone is willing to give up an invite if they are on btn or ptp. Offer them a blowjob or something.

Also one of them are giving invites to any member that donates. Offer them the money for the donation and a good ratio screenshot and you might get lucky.

Yeah WCD dying was a bitch, although I probably didn't get hit as bad as most people. I wish the porn trackers had a better standing, cause that's the one place I've got a good ratio on

why are you speaking with inverted syntax?

I imagine there isn't much to do in Dagobah other than shitpost on spacechan

is there anything worth a damn in there?

It's Netflix, of course not

>He's never watched the comfiest show of all time "Samurai Gourmet" now available in 4k.

I dont really watch movies anymore, I was just curious.

>They are better than Bluray quality.
What is each movie a Terabyte?

I was kidding man lighten up.. but there really isnt much on there to be honest, I ended my subscription about 4 months ago and switched to just using private trackers and PLEX. My ISP is cool as fuck and doesnt question me downloading terabytes of data in the same month.

Hey poorfag did you know a 4K tv increases the quality of all HD video and imagery?
Don't worry you're really showing how much smarter you are by saving the extra $100 and opting for a caveman display instead :^)

i'm sitting in front of one right now thats 43" and i see a huge difference.

get some money poor nigg**

>shit in 4K

>13gb
>big for a movie
>big for a 4k movie
that's right senpie just be cool with your 900mb yify rips and pretend that anybody with higher standards than you is retarded

It's lossless. You don't know what you are talking about and you're not masking this by using more technical language.

A properly-ripped FLAC copy of an album is a lossless copy of that album. If the album was mastered from mp3s, then that is not the fault of the lossless rip, nor does it magically mean it is no longer a lossless rip. GIGO.
I fear you still will not be able to wrap your head around it even with that pretty easy-to-follow example.

My nigga. 49" here.

I don't even enable 4K for my games and most things and I know for a fact it's still a sharper image. The tech is simply better behind the glass 4K resolutions are only part of it.

If only there was anything worth watching on Netflix.

(5 cents have been deposited into your account)

t. autist with superiority complex

Did he have internet access? His cabin was pretty comfy

>imagine being this autistic about the quality of shitty movies, especially ones you downloaded for free

HDB is back on the anti-piracy menu.

you have this backwards senpie
>I only watch good movies
>I only watch good movies in good quality
>sometimes I pay for them, most of the time I don't
it's that easy. Imagine being so lazy that, even when both movies are free, you download the shit quality one when it takes no effort to just click on a different link

It was an Outer Rim planet right? Can't imagine he'd have great internet access

>imagine being this triggered over shitty movies

Why would they announce this before grabbing everything they want? Why would they announce it at all, even after grabbing everything they want? I don't know much about this sort of thing – is it because Netflix would know regardless?
