Give me your honest opinion about him

Give me your honest opinion about him.

the only succesful black director

Has not evolved as a filmmaker

Same shit, different premise.

I liked him in Stargate Atlantis

he's a very skilled director and writer, but his films are usually mediocre.

He's a great director but some of his stuff just puts a bad taste in my mouth

My 16 yr old coworker called him the god of directors

Creative and original.
Doesn't mean I have to like all the shit he makes

Pulp Fiction is legitimately good. His other movies that I've seen are mediocre.

Great at making movies where everybody needlessly dies for shock value

JUST

That's because he peaked at Pulp Fiction and then decided to make the same movie again and again.

He should stop doing ">le revenge porn spaghetti western" and maybe try something new for a change. It's actually quite sad because i think he's very talented and it's hard to admit he's a one trick pony.

normiecore

Makes good movies, but thinks he makes film. I enjoy his movies for what they are, but he himself is annoying.

He didn't go to film school, he went to films, and it shows.

>make movies in a recycled style from shitty genre movies that nobody cared about
>pander to the nostalgia of generation X through "retro" movies full of ebin pop culture references and curse words
>younger people can now pretend that they like exploitation genre films because they like Grindhouse or Kill Bill
>get called a genius by ironic hipsters who think B-movies are 2cool4school

He's my litmus test for judging people's taste, honestly. Not saying he's horrible or anything, but if you like him for more than he is worth it's wildly clear that you're underage.

>edgelord
>cuck
>50 year old wigger
>ugly as sin
a couple of his movies are ok despite that

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are good. I also like Kill Bill personally. Basterds was OK, Django was a complete mess of a film that became even worse at the end from djangos capture onwards. Didnt see Hateful Eight because QT has made the same plot in his last 4 movies.

He had a few good ideas but now hes run out of creativity.

"I've got this fantasy: a giant, muscular black man is vigorously fucking my wife like he was trying to exorcise 6 million years of oppression. I watch on my knees , sucking her toes. He is like a steam engine, speeding up. My wife can barely take it anymore. He growls like a mad beast: "PREPARE WHITE BOY!". He gets his dick out of my lady and pulls me by the hair then cums a river in my mouth. When it is almost done a rabbi ( from behind ) snaps clapper-board on my tiny balls and screams "CUT". For some reason Brad Pitt is in the room and he's watching" - Quentin "Nieggerjewfaggot" Tarantino

Films like Pee Wee Herman goes to.
Everything is a jerk off session.

You could never see any of his movies and your life would still be exactly the same as if you had seen them all.

>the only succesful BLACKED director
ftfy

Pretty good, but overrated, I wouldn't rate any of his movies above 8/10

I miss this meme

All his good movies are rip offs of better Asian films. Pulp Fiction is an awful movie that wannabe movie buffs on r*ddit parrot as their favorite movie for cred.

also

everything he made after Kill Bill suck

A great filmmaker who has yet to fulfill his potential because he went back to making juvenile entertainment after Jackie Brown flopped. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are my two favorite films of his, btw.

For those of you who want to make movies the Tarantino way, follow this simple recipe:

>Drink lots of coffee.
>Watch 20 B-movies in a row without sleeping.
>Write a script copying sequences verbatim.
>Cut up script and rearrange the sequences at random.
>Insert conversation you had with racist/sexist wino on the bus into script.
>Record for 2 hours as you channel surf through white trash oldies radio. This will be your soundtrack.
>Send script to Harvey Weinstein.
>Get a big head (literarlly and figuratively).
>Direct with big head firmly planted up ass. Tell actors to treat your dialogue like its from the Bible.
>Make sure the running time is over 2 hours.
>Go to imdb.com and look up obscure films. Claim them as your influences.

I hope he gets out of this spaghetti western/white hate phase soon and takes a swing at more current events.

A boy in a man's body. Adolescent in his core as filmmaker. Makes movies purely for himself, not for the art, audience or money. That might seem commendable, but it affects the quality of his films.

He makes Sup Forums autists jealous because he is what they wish they could become

FEET

No I don't want fries with that

Never made a film below a 5/10 but hasn't made one above an 8/10 either

That being said you'd be deluding yourself if you claimed his movies aren't one of the few things worth getting even mildly excited about in mainstream Hollywood's current climate. No matter your beliefs on his recent output.

Weird literal cuckold who loves niggers and feet

This

OH IT SHOWS QUENTIN IT SHOWS

How should a filmmaker evolve in your opinion?

I like his movies, even thought they're not masterpieces and I've still many to see
The problem is that this man is probabily rotten inside
>Sniffing coke from a negress foot
>Watching your wife getting blacked

I enjoy his movies most of the time. I don't think they're especially deep or anything. Some of them are far from masterpieces but at least they're novel and that's really all I'm looking for when I'm watching a movie i don't really give a shit about.

Liked
>Reservoir Dogs (Favorite)
>Kill Bill
>Pulp
>Hateful Eight

On the fence
>everything else

He's a more authentic and honest director than Fincher, Nolan, Inarritu, and all their dog shit.

I agree with you except for Fincher.

He's an excellent film maker but he only has interest in making exploitation films. For some people that might be the appeal for others they think it's a waste of talent. I loved all his movies but I would like to see him making something completely different, like when he talked about making a horror film or just another movie like Jackie Brown.

go out of their comfort zone

Why?

Otherwise they are just repeating themselves. And then there aren't any need for them to keep making movies, when everything they can do and say has been already done by them. So what is the point of reiterating the same stuff in a new shell?

True Romance is the best thing he's been involved with

Makes some of the most entertaining movies going. Even his lengthy dialogue scenes are engaging.

He makes people furious because he makes popular movies, and that just makes him even better.

Le autistic looking genius. A great director but most of his movies are rather bland and childish.

Good posts.

I think most people here would agree that his movies are entertaining, but not much more than that. People take issue with him here because he's held up by normies as some sort of god of film.

In times of absolutely empty capeshit movies dominating the market, "entertaining, but not much more than that" is godly. Besides movies like Andrei Rublev or Barry Lyndon simply don't have it what it takes to appeal to a wider audience.

So a comedy director should do a war drama just to get out of their comfort zone? Chris Nolan should try a musical? Wtf

You are too stupid to understand. Back to r*ddit.

>le bad movie made on purpose! Le ninjas and blaxploitation! xD

Cancerous trend for hipster manchildren started by a hipster manchild, go figure.

You're pleb, user.

These

hack that appeals to the masses, great creating fast pacing dialogue tough, do not mistake this with well written dialogue

He's made some great movies and some turds.
He's a very annoying person.

>it's another feet scene

As Kermit says, all his dialogue is just him talking.

Uno farto @ 3:16

I never got Pulp Fiction but I love Jackie Brown, Inglorious Basterds and Death Proof. Maybe I'm just retarded.

>literal cuckold
source???

After his father left, his mother only dated black men. And as you know, California has a warm climate, so the walls of the apartment were paper thin.

>off by one

Yeah but they were cool, alllriiiiiight? They took him to see movies, these blaxploitation movies, alllriiiiiiiiiight

All style, no substance

I bartend tho

Decent until 2012. He's awesome when he teams up with Robert Rodriguez though.

More proof that coal-burning single mothers create mentally deranged men.

True Romance and Natural Born Killers are great. Let him do the script and get someone else to direct and its next level shit.

Good writer, above average director. Didn't see Hateful 8 but Django Unchained was not on the level of Kill Bill and the earlier ones.

I wish he pulled the trigger

Great writer, ok director

i think he makes really good films that aren't really too my own taste

A good filmmaker but he writes scenes, not really movies.

As I get older I enjoy his older films less but appreciate the density in his scripts. Like I just enjoy watching his characters talk and interact, I still think he's an excellent writer and storyteller in that context.

However, Hateful 8 was a deeply flawed film but one I still rewatch and enjoy pretty regularly. I think he peaked with Inglorious Basterds.

Juvenile.
