Favourite oh shit moments? Also what's Sup Forums opinion on all new x men just started it, is it received well.

...

No. No it is not.

And currently, the last few pages of the most recent issue (21) of Deadly Class. Caught me by complete surprise.

stop right now, dont read the bendis run of x men

>Deadly Class
huh that's back I stopped paying attention when it went on hiatus.

why is Barbara Gordon crying in X-men?

your loss. Deadly Class is great.

Stfu Jean you killed people to and mind raped them

>Wanda making excuses.
Expected.

>Captain being a shit.
Well, he was a secret Nazi all along. Go figure.

>cap's let's put 'em in camps face on the bottom right

...

>stop right now, dont read the bendis run of x men
Why? I know u sound like a newfag, but I'm kind of enjoying it, I really like Cyke young and old, what should I read instead?

Also I meant the 2013 all new X-men

It's a bad run.

It is pointless and goes nowhere.
Battle of the Atom will soon make that very clear. I still think that event is probably the most poorly thought out, most incomprehensible mess ever written for Marvel comics.

And in the grand scheme of things Bendis' Uncanny that ran alongside ANXM failed to properly follow up on any of the narrative threads from earlier to instead focus on people talking and shock value premises that ultimately do nothing but make the storyline more gimmicky and confusing.

Also the concept of "bringing back the original 5" pretty much destroys any relevancy any newer character might've had left.

It's just pretty bad over all, even if it's not inherently unreadable.

The early part was. But like with most things, crossovers and events ruined the later part.

I disagree with this picture. There's a difference between putting up a strong face for your enemies and putting up a strong face with your woman.

10/10

>Bruce is always switching cups around when no-one is watching
This sounds like it could be really funny in the wrong context

b-b-but guys. batman doesn't kill

The first six issues or so was great, and if it had been a limited series which ended somewhere around there with the young X-Men returning to their time, I think it would have been well-regarded and well-remembered as an odd interlude with some great art and competent writing.

But man oh MAN does it go off the rails quickly once the initial premise plays out.

If you keep reading as far as "Battle of the Atom," I want you to entertain this thought experiment:

Let's say you're dating someone who you have great chemistry and a long acquaintance with. Then one day a teenaged, time-traveling version of the person you're dating arrives from the past. Every moment that they're there, they threaten to un-write the person you're sleeping with from existence by doing something to irrevocably fuck up your lover's history. Your lover says they want this past version of themselves back in the past where they belong, where they can no longer threaten their present-self's existence. The bratty teenager is like "Fuck you, old-timer, I go where I want!"

Do you take your lover's side? Or that of the bratty, entitled teenager?

Once you've answered that question, compare and contrast your answer to how Kitty Pryde acts towards Iceman in that event, and tell me if you've ever seen more shockingly-bizarre behaviour from a main protagonist in an X-Men book.

Bruce's OCD is extremely debilitating and is part of the reason that the Joker isn't dead yet.

>OCD
i thought it was love

...

Actually the young Cyclops solo book was pretty good.
Weakened in the second half and ended on a shitty crossover, though.

that's Bruce Wayne not Batman

>captain america
>drinks coffee from a captain america themed mug

He doesn't, next page he gives him the antidote

...

...

Well, Rucka wrote it. Guess he stopped giving fuck after book had to wrap up to connect to Black Vortex.
And it sold better than Storm, ha.
DEEP COVER.

You know it's bad when you turn to Aaron for quality.

>I murdered the man I love on our wedding night
What

Rucka actually left after the first six issues.
Layman wrote the rest, and he had a considerably weaker artist.

...

...

What would you recommend then?

...

...

...

...

...

...

You were too good for this world, Jaime.

anyone have the one with the bat-shaped saw?

...

...

...

This was so fucking good, and during the whole max thing the art is top notch.

That explains it. I didn't pay attention, just saw Rucka and rolled with it.
Well, it was nice to see Hepzibah and Captain Pornstache, God knows next time they'll appear in five years.

And then it came down to Lex Luthor choosing between becoming a benevolent deity who successfully brought true absolute peace to all the people of the universe and giving up godhood to try and beat superman.

Guess which one he chose.

...

it's always so funny when lex finds out who superman is

shame we so rarely get to see the reveal on a batman villain

...

...

...

...

>Guess which one he chose.
and yet people complained about the irrational hatred of Lex in BvS...

...

I am the person who told you stop right now

Gillen's Uncanny X-Men is the last great X-Men run, it is from 2012 iirc. Back then there were only 198 mutants after being depowered by the Scarlet Witch, and the Cyclops team was in an island called Utopia, with most of the mutants. The others were in the Jean Grey school with Wolverine but his book wasnt very good.
Read Gillens Uncanny X-Men, the Avengers vs X-men event (not great, but necessary for understanding x-men history), and the consequences of Avengers vs X-Men, also by Gillen.

You can skip the whole Bendis run because nothing important happened apart from briging the old x-men from the past and making Iceman gay.
I mean, if you have bought it, read it, you already have it. I am telling you to stop only if you have pirated it.

Read the Secret wars event to understand what happened in the Marvel World.
And if you want to read some current X-Men, read Bunn's Uncanny X-Men, the one with Magneto and Psylocke, which feels pretty much like a continuation of Remender X-Force, it is pretty good in spite of the Greg Land art.

Bunn also wrote a pretty good Magneto run that ended with Secret wars.

The Bendis run is generally considered to be the worst X-Men run, or the second worst X-Men run after Chuck Austen's.

Shitty and irrational execution does wonders

Yeah but comic Lex has years and years of story with superman with a shitload of interpretations and stuff.

The movie had 15min at most, if even that.

...

>person who will kill millions galaxy wide thinks wanda's power switch off stunt makes her a murder

how does this guy keep getting work?

I really love this one so much. Mostly because Tony was being a real prick back then.

Now Wanda can be like "fuck you, I was in a movie that made more than the movie you were in."

...

>being a pussy saying over and over again "I wasn't me!!" to your woman is a "strong face"

Why do BvS apologists take literally every chance to defend BvS?

>Guy at my comic shop has a full run of X-Men
>Tell him how I heard Chuck Austen's run was really bad
>He says from what he remembers, it wasn't bad
Yet, I keep going there.

...

Their big movie failed hard, they are facing depression.

:3

...

...

Does anything from Injustice count?

When punisher was 2cm away from actually killing the Joker.

To that effect

Thanks user I pirated it so no harm done. However I brought the first Age of Apocalypse secret war issue. I brought one the comics with Charles son , pretty sure it was all new x men aswell and I brought a issue from the hellfire saga. I found them in a forbidden planet comic bin, are they good?

...

...

Spidey fucking up all of Iron Man's team in Civil War is fucking great.

...

...

I only ever saw this page out of context and always thought Batman was about to fight a big ring of fire

I love any time writers and artist remember Spidey is fucking RIDICULOUSLY strong for his build.

he's not johnny cash, bruh

Although he is a man in black.

That's one of my favourite Wally sequences but ruined by the awful page layout of the punch itself

>tfw I still don't know what issue this is from

...

Pissed off spiderman is brokenly powerful. God have mercy on whoever makes him mad.

...

...

Best part of the entire main Civil War series. Don't fuck with Spidey

That's a Blackhawk villain.

>I brought one the comics with Charles son
One of best runs.

You reminded me of this.

...
