I feel like this is the most awkward and unwatchable episode in the series

what do you expect watching Family Guy? seriously, is like wanting friendship and feelings on a Ralph Bakshi movie.

you perfectly know the revival is not the same than the early seasons.

I fucking loved it, although I have to admit I do actually like Family Guy.

I like family guy too, but there was something very unsettling about this particular episode

Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q

It made me want to murder any incompetent asshat involved with making that episode.

Nah, the domestic violence PSA one is.
At least the bank vault one's awkwardness was partly intentional.

As far as serious episodes go, I thought this was alright, definitely a lot better than the episode about Quagmire's sister. And I haven't seen the episode where Brian dies, but I really wish they went with the new dog for at least a bit longer. We've seen them take risks story wise, with stuff like the James Woods special, or the Road To episode.

I agree

bump

>Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q
This

it wasn't even a good at being a "very special episode"

i'm so ashemed of myself

that episode is the only moment in my life when i started to cry watching something in tv

i mean

i admire brotherly love
i'm such a faggot

Nah the Hurricane and Dead Dog ones are worse.
That one too.

>That episode where Brian somehow mistakes a middle aged tranny who just transitioned for an actual woman

i think this episode is pretty comfy

>middle aged
Quagmire is 61 years old.
She's at least 70.

>Quagmire is at least 61 years old
I've only seen the first couple seasons of Family Guy. Did they pull a Ned Flanders?

>Did they pull a Ned Flanders?
Pretty much yes.

That's even fucking worse, Jesus Christ

It was Seth MacFarlane talking to himself.

The episode itself was only mediocre

But it spawned a wave of tryhard 'so serious' episodes where the writers through they could turn fucking Family Guy into some deep thought-provoking bullshit

The tone of it was all over the place. Like, I'm not talking about the gross-out and violent and drinking gags interspersed with the serious content, that's just Family Guy being Family Guy.

But Stewie telling Brian how worthless he is, then undercutting it later by going "oh I just said that to hurt you, I didn't mean it, I actually like you." was pretty absurd.

the show was always like that, desu
it was based on those old 1980s sitcoms, seth wanks about them all the time
and they have some brutal fucking subject matter
>watch night court
>silly judge and lecherous prosecutor, bimbo defender
>kid takes court hostage because they arrested his dad for being an immigrant and he has no place to go
>russian guy pleads for asylum from soviets because they torture him and killed his family and he wants to be free
>lecherous guy meets the love of his life who can set him straight but will only be with him if he throws a case
I mean, there's fucking child molesters in different strokes.

the idea was it to be just 2 characters alone in one room together for one episode
all they have to work with is just the energies of both characters
pretty interesting stuff right?
but fuck they went to Brian eating shit real quick

OMG. Its all on tape.

How is Quagmire 61, but still couldn't by beer in the drinking law episode?

My nigga.

Fuck these faggots, it was a goodass episode.

Even though I don't care for FG, I actually really like this ep. I like heavily character based stories where the characters just sit and talk to each other.

>Quagmire is 61 years old.
