I watched Jumanji recently for the first time since I was a kid and for me it didn't hold up very well. For that reason I don't get why so many people are so upset about what the new one is doing. It was never that great if you ask me. Robin Williams is at least good like he always is and there is a little bit of decent comedy in it but other than that it's nothing special. The way the lion appears out of the shadows was still pretty good though and it scared me to death as a kid. James Horner's score was alright too.

t. a guy who just re watched it on netflix a few weeks ago and was sadly let down. The scene where the flubber divides and performs a huge dance number in the living room for absolutely no reason is particularly painful.

I said Titanic-era, like in the pic when they were promoting the film (which if you weren't a fetus you would know was in theaters longer than any other film theatrically) and winning oscars.

VHS. They could hold less runtime than betamax. Anything that ran too long had to move on to a second tape.

I think 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World' was multiple tapes, and I recall watching a 'Guliver's Travels' movie that was 2 tapes.
