they picked the wrong mara for the lead

capeshit, that's what.

They casted white actors

Look at the fucking poster: boring

The director Trank was a drug addict who only shot 70% of the screenplay when it wrapped so they had to get Drew to do reshoots and rewrites.

Little Jewish boy as Mr. Fantastic
Nigger as Human Torch
>forced diversity bullshit
Also, nobody even likes F4.

The funniest article I've ever read:

hollywoodreporter.com/news/fantastic-four-blame-game-fox-814764

>Days before Fantastic Four opened, director Josh Trank sent an email to some members of the cast and crew to say he was proud of the film, which, he wrote, was "better than 99 percent of the comic-book movies ever made."

>"I don't think so," responded one castmember.

>In Trank's case, multiple sources associated with the project say the director did not produce material that would have opened the way to a salvageable film. And by several accounts, he resisted help. "He holed up in a tent and cut himself off from everybody," says one high-level source. Literally, there was a tent on the Louisiana set. "He built a black tent around his monitor," says a crewmember. "He was extremely withdrawn." Between setups, this person adds, "he would go to his trailer and he wouldn't interact with anybody."

>Sources say Fox believed in what one executive calls a "grounded, gritty version of Fantastic Four that was almost the opposite of previous versions" — and initially thought Trank could deliver that. Several sources say Fox stood by Trank as he pushed a gloomy tone on young stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. "During takes, he would be telling [castmembers] when to blink and when to breathe," one person says. "He kept pushing them to make the performance as flat as possible."

>As Fox hurried to put the project into production before rights to the material reverted to Marvel, the studio was scrambling with multiple rewrites and delays in starting the film. They "were afraid of losing the rights so they pressed forward and didn't surround [Trank] with help or fire him. They buried their heads in the sand." Fox declined to comment.

You can find some of this in the Sony emails from Drew.

The funniest thing is to make Johnny black and not Sue that means one of them had to be adopted - so they made the white girl adopted by the black dad who is a genious scientist! Because we all know black family's that adopt white kids, especially the genious scientist blacks!

This is easily the most outrageous and hard to believe superhero flick of all time.

Reshoots and studio fuckery.

What did they do right?

It wasn't the studio, it was Trank's fault. He fucked over the producers.

No, it certainly was the studio demanding reshoots. You can see it in the movie.
Everything with Mara in a terrible wig is a reshoot, like Samurai Cop.

>What went wrong?
Hollywood can not grasp the idea that FF are not a group of superheroes, but a family that happens to have superpowers, they are a very close group, and they live mostly adventures, they have a good chemistry, meanwhile in movies it looks like they never had chemistry, and they look like strangers placed in a room together, Also they usually got the personalities wrong.

>actually believing studio shills
How naive are you?

I know, stupid. But they reason they did reshoots is because Trank didn't shoot the script he was supposed to. He'd hide in his trailer and do drugs. He'd get into fights with Teller. Read the articles.

The studio did nothing wrong.

If you look the first half of the movie, the movie is not SO bad, it is just standard capeshit movie, but the last part of the movie is shit, and it is all reshoot (Because fucking fake wig).

Trank maybe wouldn't create a masterpiece, but it was alright, the studio made the shittiest parts of the movie.

The other guy is the one believing the studio's PR people who denied the reports from multiple sources about Trank's nonsense.

Read the Sony emails on wikileaks. They talk about what a nutjob Trank is. The guy got fired from fucking Star Wars.

And don't forget about the public lawsuit brought against him by the people whose home he trashed, and then tried to blame on his dogs.

Jew weasel face.
Stone faced cunt who used Daddy's money to buy fame.
Affirmative-action nigger
Another Jew

Finally, fucking retard Director who thought he was THE SHIT!!!FACT!!!

Trank didn't make a movie. Of course they had to quickly rush the reshoots. The movie was a piece of shit, yes, but it wasn't Simon or Drew's fault.

It got so bad Jim, the president of Fox, had to come down to the set and talk to the people who owned the house, because Fox had to foot the bill. And Trank still got sued.

They took him off the project and got Matthew Vaughan in to finish it, under Trank's "supervision" because they couldn't break DGA rules.

>the script he was supposed to
Which, as you may have noticed, was terrible.
