As a kid I didn't mind the Lion, but I screamed and yelled at the TV when the Bear appeared because he seemed insane to me

youtube.com/watch?v=LUxH-m60eSI

I came across some fuck up shit with the bear.

It's started several years ago in a simple dicussion about kids TV. I mentioned the bear from tellytubbies and several people not only didn't remember it but they straight up hardly denied the exsistance of it. No matter how much I said it was real they where sure it never happened. I of course showed them a video of it and their faces where completely shocked.

Everyonce in awhile this happened over and over with new people. All denying the bear was real until proven. And when I show them it's kinda like they get a little PTSD. Very few people remember the bear.

It's such a repressed memory for so many people I've never seen anything like it ever.

What the fuck was this. I don't remember any of it.

And I watched Teletubbies a lot when I was little, and I remember a decent amount of things from it but not these animals. I'm scared.

I looked it up and it's real.

Is this some kind of creepypasta shit? Am I gonna die now that I watched some of it?

Wait, what? Teletubbies had bear and lion skits? What the fuck, I don't remember this at all. Was this a regular part of the show?

This shit is all new to me, too. Apparently the sketch was completely banned from US airings because it was just too frightening for little kids.

Ya'll want to see something unnerving?

There's little to no information about it what-so-ever; It's the stuff creepy-pastas are made of.

I don't remember this at all. And I guess I'm not the only one. Is this another example of that theory that some people cross over from other dimensions without realizing it?

I don't get it. It's just the intro, various scene transitions, and credits for another early childhood show I barely remember.

I had recurring nightmares about these two for years.
They tried to make them less scary by giving them wheels instead of legs, but it just make them worse. They way they glided over the green knolls of tellytubby meadows was the most surreal shit.
fucking tellytubbies giving me ptsd as a toddler

I didn't mean that exact video; that's just the dissection of intermissions between the cartoons. But, those in itself are creepy.

A singular white-glove greets, as it begins today's event, erecting the circus as the music seemingly gets louder and faster. So much is going on at once, and yet everything is so lifeless and still, placing that happy facade that everything is alright, but coming off a little unnerving. In between these intermissions, it plays a variety of cartoons in different styles, and at the end of the day, we watch as today's sets go by while the white gloves systematically discard them from that plan of reality, ending the show telling us they'll see us again soon.

Add in the fact that there is little to no information about this show other than it existing. The intro video and a few photos of books published under that umbrella are all that exist online, and even the website listed in the credits brings up little when put into the Waybak Machine.

There's just something there that rubs me the wrong way, and I remember that I used to watch this show every day when I was a kid; and outside of the white glove and 64 Zoo Lane, I could recall nothing from it until I saw that video again.

isnt this from the new teletubbies they made? i dont remember it from old

That's some trippy shit.

I think there isn't much information because the show was apparently just a showcase of content from other sources. In effect, it's just those elements - intro, transitions, credits. Everything else is licensed from different productions, and the show may have only existed because the network fell into unexpected acquisition and decided to fill some airtime. It aired on Fox Family and I don't remember that channel being amazing.

Fuckin eat a dick for reminding me of those.

...

it looks like an attempt to make fat kids exercise

Yup, had horrible nightmares when I was wrong, developed a phobia of sleeping ever since.

Doesent this belong on Sup Forums?

Creepy

Puppets and stuff like that are Sup Forums.

At first I thought that going just by appearance the bear was scarier if only because the lion dident look scary at all.

Until I got to the bit in your pic between the angle and the shadows it was terrifying

Also I thought they were running from the bear at first

And sticking your tongue out and making silly noises is not a joke

Wait there's more then just that one video of them

Also yeah the wheels were the truely scary part

Seems a bit odd but ok

Was way out of the Teletubbies demographic by the time I aired, but the one time I sleepwalked, it was on the day the show premiered. I walked into the living room, put on PBS and passed out on the floor in a puddle of my own drool.

It's not Baneposting, so it clearly doesn't belong on Sup Forums.

...

this is giving me PTSD man

keep it on Sup Forums, i'll call it in

Scared me as a kid, but not so bad.

On the other hand, I can't even watch this fucking clip even now because of how much this fucker scared me.

Never watched Teletubbies because I was a little too old for it when it came out, but even I have creepy memories of this. I'm guessing I must have come across it while channel surfing as a teen, stumbling across some British TV station and I just couldn't switch away.

What's the problem here is it the way the house fades i-
OH JESUS FUCK
It stops being scary once he opens the window though

Jesus Christ, I remember this shit. I thought I repressed those memories, and now it's all coming back in one horrifying experience.

Why is British kids' TV so fucking weird, damn.

I can't stand its face. It just looks so wrong.

I liked the dancing bear.

The site is still up! And it's still amazing!
danryckert.eu/

How deep can you go?

>I'm scary at the top
>and I'm scary underneath
Did that lion just brag about his dick?

WHEN I KILLED YOUR BROTHER! I TALKED! JUST! LIKE! THIIIIIIS!

Holy fuck the bubbles have some trippi shit if you click them

I can't see in which way this is supposed to be scary, but I'm sure it had a bigger impact on younger Anons who watched it.
When Teletubbies came out, everyone at my school, parents and teachers alike, was talking about how fucking retarded this show was, so I head no means of watching it without expecting it to be stupid.

FUCK

I do not WANT to remember.

I think so, he chuckled at himself saying underneath.

Same demographic. Sup Forums is a different demographic entirely.

Put it this way, Sup Forums is for the real humans. Sup Forums is the rest.

NO FUCK OFF

Zzzzap!

This show had a creepy ass intro. Why is the sound all quiet and throbbing and shit? Why does everyone look so creepy and weird? Why

youtube.com/watch?v=QtbWuYEp_eU

Thought the bear was funny though :(

I love how freaked out everyone here is.

Noooope, I buried these creepy fucks years ago and you've dragged them back to the surface.

watch if you dare

This thread triggered me. This is one of those things that I'd totally forgotten. I swear I had it on VHS or something and I couldn't work out how to fast forward.

Shit, man.

This segment was subconsciously scary because some of the shots were mirrored. No idea why that was necessary.

I do remember the lion, but I bearly remember the bear

youtube.com/watch?v=c80vV0aE1Nk
I remember watching this when nothing else was on. Not nearly as fucked up as Teletubbies or Boobahs, but it's weird.
It's been repressed in my mind for ages.

So what's the deal with the Teletubbies?

Were they siblings? Just a few of their species?

They just live in the middle of who knows where, underground with a robot and other weird technology.

They randomly dance sometimes.

And only one of them can get a signal on their stomach each day.

Then they know when these "magical events" are going to happen beforehand and they just sit down and enjoy it.

Also the speaker in the ground. Is it an AI? Or is someone communicating with them from afar, lazy babysitting.

And then the baby sun of course.

What the fuck is this show. AHHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHH!!

Its a German television show intended to help toddlers to learn words or something.

Same here. That waving tongue freaked me the fuck out.

...

>tfw you didn't remember the skit until you heard people on the web talking about how much creepy it was
>you accidentally find it on TV during your night zapping
>in the local dub (Italian FYI) the lion haves the same voice as Eeyore, MCU Nick Fury and Mojo Jojo
>You actually find it funny just for that

German? I thought it was British, but German makes more sense if you go by nightmares per minute.

>their fucken eyes

user I must tell you something...come closer

I fuck I remember those things.

God when I remember getting really tense when the camera was going to the next sketch.
Also I had no idea that was Neil Buchanan.

wow that really was. At least he did the parody skit of his own shown

youtube.com/watch?v=NmOoekbK6YI

Fun Fact: one of them was voiced by pic related

Apparently it was cut out from US airings of the show.

>he way time speeds up when the lion roars
>the way the bear's arms move
>the eyes

boo

>The show was designed with deaf children in mind, and so the style of the show is predominantly visual, with the sound only providing music and effects. The audience in "The Handymen" segments would also often sign clapping instead of actually clapping.

tl;dr it was aimed at retards

Porn when?
