Tom Fucking Cruise

He was pretty good as Damian Thorne

Any film with Paul Dano becomes an instant classic

The only good part of hunger games

He was brilliant in Event Horizon, but he will always be Merlin for me.

He was terrible in the mouth of madness

One of these are correct.

Kurt Russell. I'd watch him in anything.

...

Absolutely.

>Willem Defoe
FPBP

this man

...

Fuck yeah Sam Neil

Fuck yeah Merlin

Fuck you

The first two I thought of when I read the OP. I will watch damn near anything these two men are in.

Mouth of Madness was a bad movie made good because of him.

Fucking loved him as the villain in Dawnbreakers.

His performance in Merlin is legendary.

Not so sure about the pope show he's in.

Ed Harris always elevate any movie he's in

Actors don't make films better. See: Morgan Freeman.

Some actors do indeed make films better. See: the other actors listed ITT.

If a film is crap enough it doesn't matter how good the actor is. To think otherwise is to have really some reddit-tier taste in filmmaking. Story makes a film work, not whether so and so is in it or not.

>Actors don't make films better.

He wasn't able to save NowYouSeeMe though

It was great seeing him play a fully aware Anti-Christ. The fact the protagonist is trying to kill baby Jesus makes it really funny to tell people about.

No mentions of this guy?

he's in so many sub-par movies in which he just raises the bar

>watching films for the story

>watching films

not in the way OP implies. You can't just toss good actor into shit film and expect shit film to turn great. Doesn't work like that.

The guys who made Assassin's Creed probably had this logic. We have Michael Fassbender who's a great actor so it must do well.
Maybe some could commend him for trying but his performance doesn't make the film not shit.

Not a footfag. I don't like feet and I don't care for footfags. They've tainted her.

Now You Don't

>If a film is crap enough it doesn't matter how good the actor is.

Sometimes. Bad direction and a bad script definitely does a lot of damage.

Certain actors though, like Nicolas Cage especially, can transform a film into a thing of wonder on their presence and energy alone (even if it's still obviously a 'bad' movie).

I hope you're not implying with that pic that The Drop is subpar

>If a film is crap enough it doesn't matter how good the actor is

In other news: water is wet and birds do fly.

nothing taints her

All these

Well, with those digits I can't do anything but agree.
