Grest start.

I don't know I think the guy's a pretty good actor and director. I liked him in Signs.

The Patriot and Braveheart. Fuck the English

>are you a jew?
>this is an inherently mean thing to say or whatever they're implying
lmao
>did you know that he was jewish?
>he was 100% right.
he's jew-radar is spot on.

What Women Want

Triumph of the Will (1935)

literally everything besides Bird on a Wire (?) and What Woman Want

Lol at this faggot
Those are unquestionably his masterpieces
Check your privlege, son

Payback. It's literally just a better version of John Wick.

fpbp

As a director, everything.
As an actor, Payback and The Patriot.

cool guy desu

Hacksaw Ridge was shit.

Lethal Weapon is the GOAT buddy-cop series

As much as I like Gibson, his only really really good movie is Apocalypto

>ignoring Passion of the Christ.

This was pretty fucking good

Anything using the Mel Gibson soundboard sourced from that infamous phonecall.

youtube.com/watch?v=MLbXgRwXPSg

Lethal Weapon, pretty much. One of the best movies ever made and one that pretty much every single fucking person has seen already, so it feels dumb recommending it.

But if you somehow haven't, what the fuck are you doing?

Braveheart, Apocalypto and Hacksaw Ridge are the best but just about everything he's made is worth a watch.

Even his low-budget films are kino compared to the rest of Hollywood

I reckon it's more like a realistic version of Sin City, kinda like Marv's story in a way

Full Contact is better than Payback.

holy shit this

His big three:
>Braveheart
>Passion of the Christ
>Apocalypto

his character actor magnum opus
>Mad Max

80's heartthrob to the max
>Year of living Dangerously
>Lethal Weapon

00's end of life world stomper
>What Women Want
>We Wuz Soldiers
>Signs

and Hacksaw Ridge is the beginning of his '10s revival and ascension into the upper echelon of souls piercing cinema

also forgot the 90's "I think something is off with this guy" tier
>Conspiracy Theory
>Paypack
>The Patriot

Chicken Run

oh man I can't believe I forgot he was in this. Absolutely.

Maverick is charming Mel at his finest.

Gibson is 10/10 in Signs.

youtube.com/watch?v=8_NmxgdYUpk

obvious what women want

Mel did so much with just 16 lines of dialogue
youtube.com/watch?v=W3CUQvUvqac

two of those lines are "I only came for the gasoline"

Blood Father and Machete Kills.

Starring: The Road Warrior
Directing: Apocalypto

The first 3 Lethal Weapon movies are fun.

Oh yeah, Signs is good too.

>Payback
Should I watch the original or the directors cut?
Looks like the ending changes

Air America

Lethal Weapon I isn't that great. The one with the South Africans is where it's at

DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY!

directors cut.
its shorter but it has the perfect pace.

I think it's just been revoked

Just pick one. He's literally that good. Of course, some are much better than others, but as far as films he's made, you're in for kino without a doubt. I'm absolutely not memeing here. One of the best to ever live.

> That opening scene where he quickly steals / scams his way from pennies to wealth.

Fucking best scene, i'm amazed more people haven't ripped it off.

Both, they're pretty different. I prefer the DC: slicker, less Hollywood mooovie-feeling (whole ending of theatrical is kinda dumb).

I remember watching Apocalypto completely through without subtitles on my first watching due to a weird DVD glitch which didn't allow the showing of subtitles.

I know others have had similar experiences with watching these mostly-foreign movies without subs and just trying to guess their way to the plot and had a lot of fun with it, and all I can say is that they're spot on.

This is the only one I've watched of his, by accident but it was alright.

it's the best rom com of the 00's, easily

Check out Tim, it's one of Gibsons first films, the whole thing here on youtube. It's a nice feel-good film about Mel playing a slow-adult, Tim, who gets involved with an older woman (Piper Laurie) whose garden he's "working on." Piper Laurie is milf tier in this film.
