What was the last time Marvel's lineup of books was THIS bad?

What was the last time Marvel's lineup of books was THIS bad?

I'm literally only reading on book.

yeah it's a mess. Old Man Steve, like... ugh. Ugh. Just seeing him makes me mad. Between that and girl!Thor we had two semi-interesting concepts taken fucking nowhere. Like... they're not even the legacy character! They don't have to stall! Can't they do something interesting, at least?!

And I've given up altogether on Iron Man, at this point we've had so many writer changeovers where I went, "well, it can't possibly get any worse" and then IT MANAGED IT that I'm not even trying anymore. And it's BMB so I'm not even vaguely conflicted.

I've heard Ta-Nehisi Coates' Black Panther is okay but I haven't been able to get my hands on it (keeps selling out at my local shop) so IDK

Howard the Duck is ok?? and I enjoy X-Men 92 and Squirrel Girl

I literally can't think of a single flagpole character or team I look forward to seeing from marvel right now though

I think I dropped everything.

I haven't even bothered to keep up with Ant-Man.

I literally can't even read memevel. It's just like ugh wow you know? I don't even read comics and I know it's just SJW garbage just like how is this even allowed?!

You're trying to be le clever meme guy, but current Marvel really is garbage

I've dropped everything except for Vision and Moon Knight. Feels bad senpai.

I'm reading about six books

Heroic age was pretty bad. Initiative and Dark Reign were so good.

Wait, did that Native American guy's book ever come out? I don't remember hearing about it at all.

Yes and it's already been cancelled :-)

nope. same for the one about Blade's daughter

How is Vision? He still have the weird wife and kids thing going?

Yeah it's shit don't bother. Just stick to based DC. That's where the masterworks are.

It's fucking canceled.

It's the best written book Marvel has. It's essentially a mid 90s Vertigo horror comic but with Vision obviously.

I think one of marvel's biggest problems is it doesn't seem like writers get to stick to characters for a while unless they a. are a writer with some form of tenure or b. its a character barely anyone cares about anyway.

his wife is terrified he's gonna kill her. his daughter is a barely functioning mess after being trapped in a state of being perpetually dying for however long it took to repair her. his son has a growing urge to go full ultron. three people and a dog have died and the body count is just gonna keep going up

>It's the best written book Marvel has
lol like that's saying anything.

>this turd is the freshest turd around
It's still shit either way.

I'm reading Dudpeel, XMen 92, Ms Marvel, and Spider-Gwen.

I keep on trying other books and everything is eh or worse. I was hype for Howard the Duck and then it was a total slog

Issue six came out last week, I think. And is apparently cancelled already, to no one's surprise.

Hey samefag. Just want to let you know that I'm also a DCfag. There's no reason to try this hard. Vision is Marvel's only good book, just let them have that in peace.

You have pretty bad taste user :-/

No, user, the correct way to shitpost is to say that ONLY DCfags like Vision.

after reading all the marvel comics since ANAD started (for free) I can tell you which books are bad, the worst of the worst.

>Squirrel girl
>Hellcat Patsy Walker
>Angela Queen of Hel
>Guardians of the Galaxy
>Star Lord
>Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
>Howling commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D
>Drax
>Spider-man
>Web warriors
>Extraordinary x-men

>no spider-woman
>no spider-gwen
>no gwenpool

>not including Spider Gwen

ms marvel and x-men'92 are the only books from the ANAD era i've actually paid money for

oh btw prome wrong that these arent the worst titles.

Gwenpool is good, dont let your hate for waifufags blind you as it almost blind me.

the other two you said are mediocre at best.

>>Howling commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D
Awwww, I liked that book.

Haha yes let's see my DC pull list...

oh good it's Batman punching Rorschach in the face

Honestly, I'm down to Constantine and Grayson at this point.

no u

I'm getting kind of tired of Ms Marvel. I was having fun at first and now it's like. why does Marvel think we want Azumanga Daioh with superpowers :/

I'm mostly reading Spider-Gwen for the art. Robbi's retiring :( I miss ANGR god fucking dammit

Deadpool I'm stuck on out of habit but it feels like it's started to decompress and I'm disliking that. I'm hoping something worth caring about happens soon.

X-Men 92 is radical fite me irl

on skateboards

with backwards baseball caps and sunglasses on

2000. Everything was treading water except Avengers and Thunderbolts and even they weren't as good as they'd been a couple of years earlier.

>12/15 Red Wolf #1 - 39,288
>01/16 Red Wolf #2 - 26,662 (-32.2%)
>02/16 Red Wolf #3 - 12,211 (-54.2%)
>03/16 Red Wolf #4 - 9,932 (-18.7%)
>Red Wolf #5 - 8,445

Last issue just came out

#5 still sold more than Omega Men

Ms. Marvel was unbearable for me from like issue 2 on. I never got the hype. I always thought it must be because it was hitting the demo of casual pre-teen girls really well, but actual comics people seem to like it? IDGI.

X-Men '92 is legitimately radicool though. It is doing a good job of filling the hole in my heart that Batman '66 left.

Wait Sup Forums told me x-men 92 was afwul because some guy from comic alliance was writing it

I'm reading four books from Marvel at the moment which is higher than usual actually. Vision is the only one of them I'd like put into the Pantheon of all-time favorites and also will be over by year's end, and Karnak only has two issues left before it's done as well, but still a goodly number at the moment for one company. The only difference from usual is that the bad stuff is so horrendously bad that if someone offered me like $50 to read it and write a quick review I would still probably pass which is not usually the case.

Can we talk about how fucking bad Black Panther is? And it was my most hyped book too.

It's just bland, same as most comics. It is definitely disappointing though, mostly because Marvel has been stuck in this rut of using its same stable of overworked and burnt out authors on everything that getting someone new - and from outside the comic industry too - was an exciting prospect.

It's same as it ever was.

sounds like some salty Sup Forums faggots desu

It's legit.

this is not my beautiful house of ideas

marvel will never be as good as it was when you got into comics. i'm sorry

Last thing I read was All New Ghost Rider

Even the art is a disappointment. None of the action scenes even make any sense from panel to panel.

That was a legitimately fun book but I dropped it after the initial artist left :-/

I've only read Rage Of Ultron (which was actually amazing) and that was technically released before this all started.

It's what happens when you try to market to a base that doesn't even read comics.

Yeah it was kind of a whiplash going from GOAT art to that, but still the writing was fun

Native American here, we'll never have representation will we?

Fuck it, back to the casino I guess.

Turoks still pretty popular.

Oh boy the mouseketeers are out in force tonight, uh?

if I had my way I'd be writing a book with a Crow Nation hero but the big two don't give a shit

I can't get over the idiotic premise of Dark Reign.
It's akin to making Charles Manson president because he killed Osama Bin Laden.

Moon Knight is shit

Half of those are already cancelled.

...

>Spider-Bore
>worthy of hate
That mediocre shit doesn't even deserve to be mentioned.

DC had Apache Chief, but hes dead in the water do to rights

Gwenpool is one of the best cape books on the market right now.

wheres my boy wolverine and the x-men at? i havent read comics in years and thought id start again, im on an excursion from /tg/

I like Carnage and the Star Wars ongoings. Ms. Marvel is ok, Amazing Spider-Man has been like watching a trainwreck, Black Panther is starting off strong I think, and I don't know what to think of International Iron Man yet. Not sure why I read Spidey either.

I'm going to check out Moon Knight and Vision though since they seem interesting.

That description has convinced me to check it out.

The art isn't.

>I've only read Rage Of Ultron (which was actually amazing)
Pym's back ( still fused with Ultron Cyborg/Extremis-like ) in the latest All-New All-Different Avengers, senpai.

he dead

It's literally written by some guy from comic alliance. That's all you need to know to know that it's probably blatant SJW pandering garbage and has to be stopped.

>I dropped it after the initial artist left :-/
Me too. On the plus side I then went and checked out Luther Strode to see why he'd jumped ship.

Still better than Ellis' hackery.

Deceased, replaced by Old Man Logan

On the other half of this image that is always conveniently left out for the sake of outrage.

>Gwenpool is one of the best cape books on the market right now.
She's basically the Harley Quinn that everyone wanted and DC kept not supplying, desu.

Well okay so MAYBE I've been reading that too. Somehow I completely forgot about how that's already in a different book even though it's the proper continuation of their story.

He's in a better place now.

Old Man Logan is around and about as shit as Old Man Steve. Hopefully if we ignore them they will both die quiet deaths

no shit? they actually killed off wolverine? i gotta go wiki some stuff.

>in the latest All-New All-Different Avengers
You mean Uncanny.

in what fucking book has Citizen V shown up in?

Squirell Girl at least is funny, I don't mind it.

Every post-movie GOTG book can go die in a hole though.

They killed him off like 2 years ago, man. This is hardly a new development.

Avengers Standoff was pretty good. The worst part was we got a check list but no reading order. Went something like 2 Standoff books, then double issue of SW:CA with Spencer's Standoff continuing in the second part. As per usual, most the tie-ins were dog's balls. Hollowing Commandos was ok and I'm interested in seeing where they go with Thunderbolts.

The main problem for Marvel is they're shoving a political narrative down our throats so hard we're gagging and coughing all over the place and become to overwhelmed to notice a thinly veiled story behind it.

He hasn't and the new Thunderbolts is fucking horribly written so it doesn't matter if he eventually does

>You mean Uncanny.
SHIT. Yes, I meant Uncanny Avengers (they have too fucking many Avengers titles).

>Every post-movie GOTG book can go die in a hole though.
>Guardians 3000
>Korvac Saga
>Guardians of Infinity
You'll complain all day every day about not having your precious DnA back and then once Abnett gets some Guardians books to himself, you proceed to pretend they don't even exist.

It really wasn't. Boring as fuck after the exciting first issue and Kobik might just be the laziest creation of the last several years

>they have too fucking many Avengers titles
They have less Avengers titles now than at any point between 2010 and 2015 by a wide-margin. We went from 8 Avengers titles a month to 3.

The Wolv dead.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Wolverine

Doom in a drapey hoody, the travesty that is Old Man Logan, and "pre-emptively ruined by the movie that hasn't even come out yet" Strange need not apply

>I'm interested in seeing where they go with Thunderbolts.
I was too. Then I saw the art in the first issue. #dropped

last comics i have read were house of M. its been a long while since ive picked up an issue, and im just getting back into it. wolverine was always my favorite guy i was just curious how he was doing

>Guardians 3000 got less than 12
>Guardians of infinity was boring after 2 issues

>We went from 8 Avengers titles a month to 3.
Sorta like X-Men team books.

What is the point of imitating the way that a typical Marvel fan talk and writte, and using it to say that you hate Marvel?

Its just odd.

That's not Doom, it's Karnak

>Doom in a drapey hoody
That's Karnak. Doom wears a dapper suit these days.

Ah, well, yeah. He's dead. X-23 is carrying on the Wolverine name and Old Man Logan is running around the main universe.

>kill off Wolverine
>end up with 2 Wolverines
Logan's regeneration really has gotten out of control.

That is Karnak

If his last floppy was House of M, I don't think he would know who Old Man Logan is.

Who is that Putin-man?

Objective list of current Marvel books that are worth your time:
>Ms. Marvel
>Spider-Man 2099
>Captain America: Sam Wilson
>Howard the Duck
>Hercules
>Vision
>Carnage
>Totally Awesome Hulk
>Gwenpool
>Astonishing Ant-Man
>Spider-Man/Deadpool

Agent Coulson standing in for Agents of SHIELD written by Guggenheim

Basically it's a shit book based on a shit show by a shit writer

Shit.

>end up with 2 Wolverines
Actually they cloned Lara (so clones of a clone); so there are several sorta-wolverines running around. Also Johnathan.
