that title makes no sense

because socialism.
I waited 4 months for an MRI on my knee then another 7 for Surgery, at 20/21 years old.

prime of my life.

...

im going to assume corruption. followed by brain drain to usa.

>(((Rosenblatt)))

Sad story

Girl with Leukemia dies while waiting for hospital bed. The friends of the girl sign her casket as a final goodbye.

Yea Canadian Journalism can be pretty poor in structure.

> socialism works

Canadian Healthcare is only """"good"""" if you have really minor things that can be treated easily

This

those fucking british teeth

the fuck is wrong with you england?

>that ID
>jEW
Hmm...

It would appear all those breaking bad Canada jokes are falsehoods

Do you want to know the difference between socialized medicine and US medicine?

In the US you can get whatever you need - but you'll end up in crippling debt if you're not wealthy or can't afford platinum insurance.

In Canada / the UK / etc, your care is free - but you run a 1 in 11 chance of a wait in excess of 8 months.

In Finland I knew a guy. Had a tooth infection. He was in crippling pain. Had to chew illegal painkillers just to cope. Why didn't he get it fixed?

The "free" healthcare would fix him just fine. In 4 or 5 months.

Imagine that. In so much pain you can't work, can't sleep, but it's not life threatening, so the hospital will tell you to come back in a few months.

Wouldn't you RATHER go into debt to get your fucking face fixed?

Why didn't these people just travel to another country for surgery?

Those tits have no shortage

Yea Journalism is pretty poor in anything.*

To be fair, she is 72

I'm no its only good if your rich and important. And you can jump tO the front of the line.

Happends all the time here BTW.

But it's quintessential as fuck. If only were were as unique and cultured as Britain!

>Increase taxes
Problem solved

Canadian """"""""""""free"""""""""""" healthcare is a fucking joke

>letting righteously disadvantages defective shits snuff it once in a while
>bad

Fuck off and die, insurance glutton.

Wow, that's awesome, the dumb shit stupid enough to let his/her bones get carved open for some needy bitch got saved!

It's a fucking bait article you dumb fucksticks.

They found a donor in May.
She had to wait.
Bitch had her surgery in November.
Then she fucking relapsed in January, despite the operation, and died shortly thereafter.

So fuck your meme circlejerk.

>implying a cavity will make you go into debt

You joking bro?

You can get a cavity cleaned and filled for 150$ and antibiotics are a couple of bucks in the US.

I was so tempted to bribe nurses in one hospital just to speed things up

Even if it was bait what you posted is still worse than what I see in Mexico. I can't understand how people have the gall to mention canadian healthcare and shit when this is allowed

But in Canada, you can't even expect to get a straight answer about that!
youtube.com/watch?v=ixo0V6rNqi0

Jesus, was she waiting for a dentist too?

the VA is a pretty good example of gubbment-run healthcare

Veterans go to the VA if they want to die waiting.

that doesn't forgive the greedy hyper-jewing going on between the insurance cartels and the hospital owners, though.

>not having your nurse aunt pull strings for you

It's called the triage system.

Doctors don't really tell you, but lost causes are bumped down.

the girl's friends have leukemia and they signed her casket

socialism kills! ask that polish guy

it's literally 100% free
who could find fault with that

>white

zero fucks given

My doctor only allows one checkup per year, is this a thing anywhere else?

sad, she is wife material.

>being an immigrant from russia

If only...

No, you must be ugly.

But it was good though because it was free

And as every European and Canadian knows, free healthcare is always gooder :^)
(because DUDE its FREE)

You have to learn the specific buzzwords that will bump you up. Exaggerate everything.

oy vey goyim surely you can trust dailymail

Seriously though, I find it funny a jew would publish an article that highlights the cons of socialist healthcare

Lel i get both literally in days.
For the mrt maybe 1 week, max 2
The surgery if its necessary in days

All those Eurocucks constantly laughing at us for not having free healthcare when they can barely find a fucking doctor. In America I used to be able to find a good doctor almost instantly but now I've been spending months looking for one after this Obamacare socialism bullshit passed.

Socialized medicine doesn't fucking work and you Eurocucks can keep it over there.

>be Canadian
>throats fucked up (symptoms are like Strep throat but without the fever dozens of tests came back negative)
>Waiting for 2 months now to see a specialist
>mfw online says some people waited for more than a year to see one

You what? I have scheduled checkups twice a year, but I can walk in whenever I want. I could visit every damn week if I wanted. Would get expensive and probably annoy him though.

It's actually fine. We have this thing called niggers and spics you don't account for, You live in this utopian dreamworld where everyone contributes equally. The reality is some cost more than others. Learn from our mistakes Canada. Please.

>she relapsed
>her cancer had 6 months to advance and then it relapsed after the operation
yes I'm sure the wait had nothing to do with it. fucking dumbass.

If you treat the cancer, it wins.

Because our beloved government would rather spend $35billion per year on immigrants. Why improve healthcare for canadians, when you can just slash its budget year after year, and import people that don't need immediate treatment?

I needed to talk to a doctor about a tumour growing on my eye. There are no family doctors left here. I got to the free clinic at 6:00am and waited in line until 8:30 when they passed around a sign-up sheet. I went and ate breakfast and came back at 9:00 when they opened the doors. I made an appointment at the earliest open slot, 12:30pm. I came back for my appointment and waited an hour for the doctor to show up. He referred me to a surgeon. My appointment there is scheduled for 29 August. 2017.

#MoreRefugees is the answer! Diversity if Canada's Greatest Strength!

Just come here. If you have the money America's healthcare will do right by you. Columbia would be cheaper probably, even figuring in the flight.

Those motherfuckers dont leave ER, always there for little things( scratches, cough etc....)

I'm a Canadian expat currently in the US.

While completing my undergraduate degree in Canada, I lived with my grandfather a few months. I started noticing strange behavior. His driving became dangerous and he was losing his memory.

Well, turns out he had brain cancer. The fucker was 83. They did open brain surgery on him and removed the tumor. I thought it was pretty amazing they could do that shit to an old man.

He did get much better after the surgery. His memory came back and everything. It's 4 years on now and he's slowing down again.

I've never personally had much problem with the healthcare system. I come from a wealthy family, though.

It's been known to happen.

Shit book a trip to Columbia and get that sorted out quick m8, that's fucked, what city?

Thankfully I know a few nurses who speed shit up for me

>Columbia would be cheaper probably, even figuring in the flight.
My Columbian neighbor does this for his dental work, way cheaper and better service, including the flight it's still better off.

Knock on wood, but yea if I ever found something that needed to be fixed asap, I'd be heading south immediately, this place is fucked for healthcare, unless you like being surrounding be old pakis who can't speak clogging up the waiting rooms

This. Everytime I go to ER it's full of shitskins, and they're always there for shit that doesn't mandate an ER visit.

Having to wait behind these moochers has done more to influence my racism than any YouTube video or website ever could. I hate them.

Kamloops

Yup. They could just easily go to the walk-in clinic for their oh so horrible flu-like symptoms, but no. They think that ER's and walk-ins are all the same thing.

...

That doesn't make sense. Doctors want to see you more often because they get more money from the government that way.

I waited fucking 12 hours in ER with appendicite just to get told by a doctor to drink tylenol/advil to supress the pain

>dying from leukemia
>at 18
>willing bone marrow donor
>not even considered purifying own bone marrow
Holy shit, we all this to 60 year old people almost immediately and they usually expect their 70s or even 80s if it doesn't relapse.
And we had literal socialism before, too.

I mean, I get 6600€ of IVIG pumped into me to raise my platelets for 2.5 weeks. For free. Not for long though, if my autoimmunity doesn't subside in a month I'll get my spleen removed.

I fractured my big toe, no big deal so I didn't go to the hospital. Toe started going numb from swelling on the 2nd day. RIP.

Went to the hospital, sat in the waiting room for 4 hours, when I asked how much longer they said 6 FUCKING HOURS.

Drove to Port Huron MI and got into a room in 15 min. They told me I would have lost my toe if I waited any longer.

>They think that ER's and walk-ins are all the same thing.

I don't think it's that, because whenever I've gone to a walk-in they've been overrun with shitskins as well.

I think it's that they just go to whatever's closest because they're lazy. I wish they'd just go home, I hate them all so much.

>1 France
>2 Italy

Interesting.
In Italy if you want it fast, you pay private.

>because socialism.
Why didn't you pick yourself up with your boot strap and bought private insurance?

>Shortage
This is what happens when you flood the system with more people it can handle. In the US, we have great survival rates and little to no shortages due to people not having enough money to even entertain the notion of going to the hospital. It's quite literally a system where the poor people are not part of the statistics because they can't afford to. They stay home.

>I wish they'd just go home, I hate them all so much.
Its not their fault, its the fault of the people who let them in.

For politicians, more immigrants means free votes

For the rest of us, more immigrants means reduced quality of healthcare, increased living and housing costs (price of a detached home in the GTA is now greater than $1 million. bright future ahead)

They gave my dad the run around for like 2 months and he had a fucking lung infection. The abcess got so bad they had to drain it and he was on antibiotics for weeks, all because the underpaid-couldn't-give-a-rats-ass walk in clinic guy said "its probably a cold it will go away" in response to severe chest pain for an extended period of time

Being European I assume France, Italy, San Marino, Andoria, and Malta have universal healthcare. What makes them different than the the universal healthcare system of the United Kingdom or Canada? It's obviously not concept of universal health care itself. Just how it's run.

>socialist
The means of production are still in private hands and are not democratically administered by the workers.

healthcare in canada is total SHIT, i can go on about my family's experiences and my own but we really need to fix this

>means of production are still in private hands and are not democratically administered by the workers
Pretty much how it is here

America PLEASE don't fall for the Canadian healthcare meme. I have way to much to complain about. TL;DR it's fucked. Doctor shortages everywhere. Waiting lists. Good luck finding a family DR in a major city (I'm on a waiting list .... for 8 YEARS in Montreal). Conditions in the hospitals are awful. The Dr's are so tired, they do not give a single fuck about you.

My Mom worked at a hospital for 20 years. Some of the shit she told me was ridiculous. They purposely make people wait 8-9 hours in the ER to weed out the fakers. There are people that REGULARLY go to the hospital when they aren't really sick and that trickles down to the rest of the system. The whole thing is fucked, I'd gladly pay $500 or something to get a bit of a premium service.

Quebec "health care" is a fucking joke. They force you to pay $500 a year if you aren't insured by your work too. Fuck this place really gotta move to a better province.

The only way to fix this is to astronomically increase spending in healthcare, and substantially reduce immigration in parallel

Canadian healthcare workers (doctors, nurses, etc) are some of the worst paid in the world. They have some of the least resources. The ones that stay in Canada are not the best and brightest, the best doctors all go to the US.

You need to increase healthcare wages across the board to be competitive enough to keep smart doctors here

You need to build enough medical facilities to keep up with the population growth in major cities

But this will never happen. Oh also the median age of the population right now is like 45. Good times ahead.

To be fair, Hawaii had an excellent healthcare system until Obmacare. Coverage was for ANYONE with residency and 20hrs a week or more employment and only nonprofits (and historical and traditional ones at that) were allowed to compete. They practiced very effective preventative medicine and health management techniques to keep costs down. As a result, we fluctuated between #1 and #2 for healthcare in the nation.

But alot of it is that we don't tolerate the shit haoles put up with with individualism, which is why places like Japan and France lead in healthcare. Hawaiian culture promotes very active lifestyles and visiting doctors or taking aid is considered very bothersome and imposing on doctors, so our medical system were never strained. Our fat people are Polynesians due to culture aesthetics are husky, husky fuckers rather than landwhales. Every foreigner is looked upon as parasites and as a result assimilate quickly and get with the program.

What I'm getting at is that Canadians can still pay OoP like burgers do to get fast service. The difference is that their basic needs are being met and preventative medicine (which is cheaper is being practiced) and as a result the system works. When it breaks down is when the uberculture is fractured. Here's the secret, you are still getting fucked with single payer or not by leeches. My ex was a trauma surgeon, and people used $2K ambulance rides to get to the hospital instead of taking the bus, or racked up a $90K bill and then stiffed the hospital who transferred the risk to their other patients. You pay for them every day whether you like it or not. Single payer would just help out the rest of the contributors (and some people who really do need help). So it's not muh socialism that is the problem (as Hawaii wouldnt have been so efficient without it), but the refusal for the gestalt to purge itself of dissension of inferior cultures (which the mainland US and Canada haven't done and embraced).

>astronomically increase spending in healthcare,

The UK does this, they constantly going on and on about the NHS and the money in consumes.

Doesn't help when you spend billions on govt approved tit jobs, making trans fags have babies and other nonsense.
All on govt dime.

If the infection had spread to the jaw it requires root canal, antibiotics, possible removal of mandible, a crown made of gold or porcelain, x-rays and much more.

That is not $150; it is $2000+

A filling is superficial, an infection is dangerous. You can also introduce the infection to the bloodstream and cause damage to your heart if untreated.

Your comment about shortage is untrue. Simply untrue. Poor people can go as often as they want, when they want and hospitals by law can't turn them away, even if the offer only lint and half a Big Mac for a lapro.

>But this will never happen.
Why? All of that seem so reasonable and what seems from the point of an American politically feasible. Ain't you Canadians all about muh healthcare?

>They force you to pay $500 a year if you aren't insured by your work too
Damn I knew QC sucked, but damn that's fucking brutal

I'd just not pay, fuck that shit

Because there is a major ripoff that has been going on for decades, the amount of your taxes that is supposed to go to healthcare ends up going for things like housing for migrants in 5 stars hotels, also a lot of the people in the government spend that money on other things, like promoting a gay parade for Justin and other stupid shit......

Socialism is shit and the Canadian health care is proof of that, in this news article that you have the event is not unusual, most of it doesn't get reported but things like that happens MULTIPLE TIMES a day.

The older you get, the more people you know that died while in the corridor.

I waited 6 months for an "urgent" MRI, when I got it the machine was from the 70's, the room was filthy.

I once waited for an appendix issue, for 14 hours on a chair, until it burst and they put me on a bed in a corridor, saw a doctor told me"sorry the scan is overbooked and full" so you'll probably die while you wait, have a nice day"

Get I get at least some morphine or something " are you a drug addict? you better behave because back in the waiting room on the chair you go"

Finally a surgery room opened up, they did a butcher job on me, it never ever healed properly, so I said fuck that shit, drove my ass across the border to the USA, and paid for the doctors there to fix me up (I would have died otherwise)

People that hype the free healthcare meme have never had a major illness in their life.

I know a guy that is blind because he couldn't get a surgery.

Basically if you get a heart attack you'll die.

I'm in Quebec where it is the absolute worst province for that.

I play the US Green Card lottery every time it comes up

For emergencies and primary care sure. But operations?

This is the kind of shit that happens when you put the government in charge.

I pay 2.61 cents a week for dental that will cover 100% of the cost for a root canal.

eh fuck u bradda who da fuck u tink u every fakin aunty one whale every unko fuckin get diabetes and one leg fucking stupid fuck u.

fuck off with your fake statistic bet u no live west side bah i fuckin lick u lyin sack of shet.

fukin haole fuck u.

I can attest, one of my wisdom teeth was disentegrated from acid reflux disease and the nerve was exposed for months.

Health BC stopped paying for any dental surgery at all so I had to wait to save up 2000$ for 4 wisdom teeth removal and will pay 1000$ for a root canal soon.

Also surgeons in Canada will literally cut you up in ways they have no practise in; I asked my surgeon to touch up scar tissue and fix his surgical mistakes and he goes "I'm not that kind surgeon i just take stuff out" even though he told me he could do the surgery and also do any post work needed.

Also he saw double the amount of patients as he was originally scheduled that day and my scars should have been circular and were jagged left and right like the dude was drunk.

2 of my great grand parents died after not drinking water for days due to pre surgery conditions and the surgery being continually bumped 12 hours and no nurses checking properly (i assume).

you can't, it's part of the provincial taxes. We have to file FEDERAL TAXES and PROVINCIAL. I hate the corruption here I wish people would do something about it.

You thought American healthcare was bad...wait until it's "free"...oh...wait...

Yeesh that's fucked. Glad my parents left that place decades back.

Holy fuck it sounds like some third world shit

In Canada dental insurance is usually $90 a month and they pay out a max of $700 for expenses above cleanings.

Its a joke. Easier to just save up here.

Private companies run better and more efficiently or else they will die. A private corporation also does not run outside of their means or else they will go under.

When it comes to public sector workers, you're on -their- time because the government pays them. What are you gonna do? Write an angry letter to the government?

Reminds me of my visit to "Urgent Care" I had an upper respiratory infection, I've had several in my life, I know my symptoms for one. Got a prescription for nose spray.

Said fuck this and went to my,normal doctor and hitched and said give me some antibiotics. Thankfully they did, 3 days later I felt great.

Yes absolutely unfortunately, part of my divorce was that I was at my wit's end because of fuckup patients. My ex would spend literally 35 hours on some junkie with collapsed veins due to heroin and then sleep over the hospital and save him. He would then ditch out, get high from dirty needles and get eve skeevier shit. When I lost it and and made a big stink (which her co-workers saw as being uncompassionate) was when the fucker let his foot rot off, as in like literally off which crept up his leg and devoured his mesentary and asshole. This junkie fucker has been in the ER Ward for 2 years healing but unable to leave because his skin regrows and rots off. The hospital can't turn him away in that condition.

This is the real horrifying secret about the US. We already pay for these fuckers. Ever wondered why MRI's can be up to thousands of dollars difference between hospitals? It's because of the amount of leeches on average drained revenue from the hospital forces them to roll operation cost onto you and your insurance.

And these people are more unhealthy and require things like Obese MRI's that cost EXPONENTIALLY more than existing ones. My dad ran a specialty machine shop and the difference for anodizing MRI parts between the standard and obese one was literally a 60% markup that he could charge and get away with because he had to invest in entirely separate lines to cater to the unusual sizes.

Now couple that with unhealthy people leading unhealthy lifestyles requiring unusual and expensive treatment options to cater to their delicate constitutions and you can see where we are getting fucked.

If you wanna save lives, put bags over the heads of drug addicts and obese NEETs.

Mom has a dental practice. Most people with "full" coverage still have to pay out of pocket for x-rays and definitely 3D imaging. They are also typically limited to cheaper, gold crowns that look like dog shit and have pretty big copays on drugs (which is why we tell them to just take Advil most the time)

Dental insurance is a scam for most people. Works out well if your employer will cover costs and copays, but even that is convoluted sometimes. Procedures are itemized now for each step because insurance companies like to pick and choose what is "necessary".

It is dude
Take a walk in a waiting room, you'll see shit on the floor, blood, blody puke, body fluids of all kinds
