It would start with the US airforce getting air supremacy within the first 10 minutes and then systematically destroying any NK artillery and missile launch site while the US and SK ground troops try to move wounded civilians into safe areas.
The civilian death toll for the south would be high. The war would end with NK being occupied by the US, except for a small portion of the furthest north area that China will occupy before the US has managed to reach it so that China can still maintain some form of buffer between them and SK.

Most of the North Korean infantrymen are turbomanlets that have a grass and dirt diet, their equipment is just clearence USSR Era outdated crap. It wouldn't be very long, despite how memey it is to say X war would take 6 hours or whatever

D시가 핵공격을 받은 후 서울시청 앞 광장에는 연일 촛불시위가 벌어졌다. 처음에는 희생자를 추모하는 모임인 것 같더니 얼마 지나지 않아 북한을 공격한 한미연합군을 반대하는 시위로 변질됐다. 촛불시위 참가자는 갈수록 늘었다. 이들은 “미군 철수” “한국군 책임자 처벌”을 외쳤다.
부근에 있는 대한문 앞에서 한미동맹만이 살길이라는 보수단체의 태극기 집회가 열렸지만 각 언론엔 “촛불집회 참가자, 태극기 집회보다 10배 많아” “촛불집회 참가자 10일 만에 1000만 돌파” “촛불집회, 박근혜 탄핵 때보다 더 활활 타올라” 같은 왜곡 선동 기사가 봇물을 이뤘다.
급기야 촛불집회장에는 “오라 남으로, 가자 북으로” “우리 민족끼리 잘살아 보세”라는 구호가 등장하기 시작했다. 처음에는 몇 개 보이던 김정은 대형 초상화가 수백 개씩 등장했다. 김일성 대(代)부터 남쪽에 심어 놓은 고정간첩들이 눈치 안 보고 활개를 치기 시작한 것이다.
아직도 대한민국 영공에 진입하지 못했던 대통령은 전용기 내에서 긴급 기자회견을 했다. 작전계획 5015의 철회를 미국에 요청했으며 국방부장관·합참의장·공군참모총장을 해임하겠다는 것이었다. 대통령은 또 북한의 요구사항을 모두 수용하겠으며 자신은 대통령 직에서 사임하겠다고 말했다.

차기 지도자를 선출하는 방식에 대해 대통령은 시민사회단체의 대표자들이 모여 통일한국의 지도자를 뽑는 것이 좋겠다는 견해를 밝혔다. 사실상의 무조건 항복이었다. 대통령의 발표가 있은 지 2시간 만에 김정은은 조선중앙방송에 다시 나와 “남조선 대통령의 뜻을 수락하며 더 이상 핵을 사용하지 않겠다”고 선언했다.
서울 광화문과 종로를 비롯한 전국의 모든 거리에는 누가 준비라도 했던 것처럼 인공기(人共旗)가 나부꼈다. 평양의 급한 요청으로 판문점을 통해 북으로 간 한국의 기자들은 평양의 분위기를 생방송으로 전했다. 주민들이 흐느끼며 ‘통일 만세’를 외치는 모습이 고스란히 안방까지 전해졌다. 한때 남한에서 유행했던 북한 가요 ‘반갑습니다’를 부른 리경숙도 방송에 나와 목이 터져라 “동포 여러분 반갑습니다”를 반복했다.
