Sup Forums: Boondock Saints, American History X, Fight Club, The Dark Knight

This 100% there have been multiple threads up every day for years.

Dear lord it's like being back in high school

If it makes you so fucking bored you fall asleep it's a Sup Forums movie.

If it is in another language with excruciating long shots of nothing, it's a Sup Forums movie.

If it sucks, but you are convincing yourself it's good, and Sup Forums says it's good, it is a Sup Forums movie.

Case and point: The Tree Of Life

This movie made me want to go to sleep it sucked so fucking bad.

You realize this board is infested by redditors right? There's like a 90% overlap in what reddit's movie/tv boards talk abotu and what Sup Forums likes and talks about constantly.

Watchmen
BvS
LOTR Trilogy
Taxi Driver
American Psycho
The Dark Knight Rises

starship troopers is as pure a Sup Forums movie as it gets imo

To this day there are people who can't see the satire and parody in ST and take the whole film at face value, very much like newfags exploring Sup Forums for the first time. Yes gore can be funny, deal with it normie.

Leon The Professional.

Y'all faggots forgot August Underground.

In general OP either a film that has been banned in some countries or a science fiction designed for kids.

Drive, TDKR and Fellowship are the quintessential Sup Forums movies

i drive

Carpenter's The Thing and Alien are about the only horror movies which ever get discussed here and are less popular on reddit

Sup Forums has about the same taste as /r/movies, so just look at their god-awful top 250 list.

Nah, Sup Forums's taste is much worse

Are you kidding me? Sup Forums's taste is all kino.

fyi, "kino" means "it's shit but I like it"

Do it doesnt mean that. negro come on!

>Do it doesnt mean that. negro come on!

The co-pilot with the cigarette lol

You're thinking of Showgirls, most people took it as an earnest dancing/drama movie, when its VERY much a satire like Robocop and Starship troopers.

Seriously, GREAT fucking movie.

Demoliton man

Beyond the black rainbow
Lars and the real girl
Lathe of Heaven
Punch Drunk Love

>Lathe of Heaven
My fucking nigger, I love that movie. And the book. Not so much the A&E remake.

Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Lawrence of Arabia, The Thing, and Once Upon a Time in America seem to be the most consistently praised in an unmemed fashion by both plebs and patricians. If we're talking memes then Goodfellas(even though it's a personal favourite of mine), any DCEU shit, TDKR, Drive and LOTR

The Thing. I see multiple Thing threads every week and they always get a ton of traction. Everybody loves it.

Was Childs the Thing?

I've never seen the remake. I liked the movie too but never read the book. Lots of the book readers seemed to not like the movie.

I don't know why, but I feel like Jaws is pure classic Sup Forums over being reddit. Even though it's literally one of the most reddit movies ever made. I can't fucking explain it.

youtube.com/watch?v=uSgOb1FvPAQ

That's the case with every adaptation except for Shogun. I like the book more but the movie has a very distinct charm to it. I'm a fan of Ursula K Leguin in general, I'm really surprised Earthsea gets no attention when it's the only fantasy series with a majority black cast of characters(it isn't even forced in, it makes total sense).

In my opinion, neither of them is The Thing.

Any movie that has a more popular and well-liked counterpart that it's generally overlooked in favor of, regardless of quality. Like Casino (it's counterpart being Goodfellas).

Also any movie with no women is automatically Sup Forums, like The Thing or Lawrence of Arabia.

Actually correct.

The Thing
Conan the Barbarian
Drive
Dark Knight Rises
The Neon Demon
Spring Breakers
Mulholland Dr.
Enter the Void

a barrel roll?
