This but because Kirby and bBugs share one thing in common that prevents them from harming each other: they don't hit first. All Kirby and bugs bunny stories begin with them minding their business until someone tries to mess with them and then get their ass handed to them because they messed with Kirby and Bugs either directly or indirectly.
That said the most powerful fictional characters in my opinion are the ones who can also affect reality outside of fiction because then the "as strong as the writers decides them to be" excuse gets thrown out the window.
