Stargate general

With the pilot, Apohis returns to his initial place through the connecting wormhole WITHOUT redialing the gate.

i thought the wormhole was only ONE way, and not 2 ways

okay it does make a new wormhole, I just skipped this part.

but then apophis has no DHD, so how does he reconnects the gate?

>skips parts
>complains
jesus

They put some kind of device on the gate and it apparently powers the gate and dials it. They never show that device again though.

I think tealc uses this device again in another season, but perhaps about an episode where he is still a soldier for them.

imagine the tone if they'd managed to keep kurt russel around for the entire series.

it woulda been fucking sex.

If only all the best sci-fi shows weren't poor (I mean financially) canadian productions. I was kinda shocked when 12 Monkeys got Madeline Stowe for an episode in S2. Then I realized she IS 2 decades passed her prime.

>it woulda been fucking suck
ftfy

Russel is great in everything else, but he was a boring O'neill

I'm sure Ba'al uses a dialer in the time-travel film as well.
He uses it to go back to his huge time-machine.

How it even works in relation to the rest of the established physics in the Stargate universe I have no idea.
What we know is time travel works with intersecting flares.
But how can he just dial back so easily?
Surely he would have needed to know of a solar flare on Earth way back in the past? And more to the point, one that takes him BACK to the point he needs to go to.
It's either that or he literally just travels back to his time machine on the current date, then past Ba'al sends him back to the future.

this is the first time I saw a naked woman on tv

>Be Aphophis
>Be one of the most powerful god
>Command millions
>Have dozens of spaceships
>Know that everybody wants to kill you

>Go to a new planet with 3 guards
>See technology
>Kidnap a woman
>Go away
>Forget about the place

Why was he such a retard?

they repeatedly state that the ghoul'd are fucking dumb dumbs. they steal tech and are generally fucking dumb.

did i mention that they're not really very bright?

I wonder how different the series would've been if it'd stayed in line with Showtime's risque ethos.
Full frontal Replicator Sam Carter emerging from the slime on Fifth's ship?

First 8 episodes of SG-1 had stuff like The First Commandment and Thor's Hammer (heh). Those were not OK episodes, or decent episodes, those were great ones. Not to mention the Children of the Gods was a better pilot.
Yes, there was a lot of stupid stuff (reproductive organs speech, Emancipation) even later in the season. But at this point you could see SG-1 was great. Does S.H.I.E.L.D. have an episode that you could point to and say "Wow, that was really great! I hope they will dive deeper into that later."
Stargate is my most favorite show of all time, so seeing it compared to this one as "See! SG-1 was bad too!" rubs me the wrong way. I'm a fanboy and I'm biased, but that just happens to be how I feel about it. What do you think?

Ba'al and that fat goold was smart
The tokra was normal

>Full frontal Replicator Sam Carter emerging from the slime on Fifth's ship?
was it a double?

i really like SG1. it was formulaic but it had story arcs that were actually cool. shit felt like it was progressing. they did those episodes about the russians having their own gate and how shit when bad, how they made an agreement to let ruskies use the gate with them. most shows would have forgotten about that, but SG1 used it later on. also i liked that marines and such were also being sent through the gate.

one thing i always wished they'd do is send a fucking tank or APC through and fuck the gayoolds up with them.

I think that actress has gotten naked before so probably not.

Lel, the third episode is Carter as la strong independent woman

>An alien civilization is forced to reconsider their views on women when Carter rebels against their social customs.

>pilot does things different than the rest of the show

yeah and modern day feminists even complain about this episode

Would a tank fit through the gate anyway?
And how would they get a tank into the gateroom?

this will also be your first ban on Sup Forums (sfw board)

>how would they get it in the gateroom
carefully
>would a tank fit through
stargate is supposed to be 22 feet in diameter
an abrahms is 12 feet

They can move the gate.

And risk people finding out they're genociding worm fucking shits?
Not a chance.

One of the first for me too probably. It's a shame the series went tame after the pilot.

Doubt it would have grown the fanbase it did if it hadn't.

They can beam it into the gate room

>end-game Earth space warfare tactics
>315s beam remote controlled tanks onboard enemy ships to wreak havoc
I'd watch it.

It's funny how much this looks like a really high budget porn.

in Stargate SG-1 S01E05 Carter calls ''rape'' the taking of a woman by the alpha male.

holy shit this the episode where Carter goes full rape

bump

All I ever wanted was Baal and Todd to meet and conquer the universe. Very smugly.

Apparently one of the most commonly rejected episode pitches was "Carter gets kidnapped by savages who want her for sex/romance/marriage"

Dr beckett from GA played Ernest in Sg1 episode 9 season 1

That's an excellent idea.

fuckkkkk

Carter does not know how give birth to some roastie baby
